Did you know that the scope devices they use for colonoscopies are nearly impossible to clean properly? There is a likely chance you came into contact with someone’s else’s bioload.

Not that you shouldn’t get one because not getting one is also a big risk but it’s a horrifying thing I just found out today. The complex design of the scope apparently makes incredibly difficult to clean and there have been on going lawsuits for this for years. In extreme cases people have gotten sepsis and HIV.
