Yes, he is Slovenian, but has Serbian roots (his grandfather was Serbian). And in most of Europe, support for a particular sport club is often shared within a family. So he was probably a Red Star fan (and still is) long before he started playing for Real Madrid
Is there a big team in Ljubljana that his family would also root for? The Slovenian side of the family.
Probably KK Olimpija, but it is not as big club as Red Star
Hmm I checked the leagues and it seems like they both compete in the ABA league but also in their own national league. I guess he could be a fan of both in some way but who knows.

Yeah and even with him it was a fluke. He said he wanted to play in Europe again after retiring and then when he did, he said nah. After 2 years of retirement, he joined FC Barcelona.
