This guy has been fantastic for the entire season. Not to beat a dead horse, but he’s everything Kerr hoped Kuminga would be.
If all the roster were healthy, Warriors would be a legit dark horse. Having an athletic wing is so valuable for this team, and Gui is that with hustle and heart.
A semi healthy warriors would’ve been the 4-5 seed imo.
I would take them over Houston. If the Lakers were also healthy though, I take LA.
4-5 makes sense to me
They are probably a slightly better overall team than us save for Luka magic. Our roster is just very imbalance.
I feel like there’s always a niche for guys like that in the league. Utah Jazz legend Joe Ingles for example.
His lack of athleticism is exactly why he isn’t a more heralded player, but it’s crazy how much just hustle and making smart plays gets you more run than just pure athleticism. Especially when you’re playing off of Steph Curry
Beat the horse
Raw skill vs raw athleticism.. one of the best case studies when you study a prospect.
Raw Skill doesn’t pop out on youth tapes while raw athleticism does.

i havent read one intelligent comment out of you, and sadly ive read plenty of your comments. all you do is bitch about kerr. blocking you so i dont have the misfortune of stumbling upon more of your dumb shit
Fuck it welcome back Leandro Barbosa
We gonna be championship 8 seed
I love Barbosa. My shampion king.
best contract in the nba?
3y/$15m is such a steal
Deni Avdija 🤭🤭
It really is a shame that the Blazers don’t have cleaner books while Deni is making so little.
Imagine how good they could be if they actually had cap space
Ajay Mitchell’s is better but it’s close
I’d argue Moussa Diabate is giving the Hornets more value on a similar contract, with an extra year but I wouldn’t disagree with a Warriors fan prefering their guy
Wemby?
Pretty sure they mean contacts that aren’t initial
My Brazilian king
Prince. The Brazilian King title is reserved for Leandro Barbosa
It was Varejao but there’s new curls in town
Varejao
Pls no
I’m so sorry
I was told Kuminga better tho
“Kerr can’t develop young players” crowd may want to look away from Moody, Podziemski, and Santos this season.
I think we’re seeing that Kuminga is SuperCoolBeas or Josh Jackson adjacent. Can’t translate his tools into reliable performance. His agent always seemed very clowny and you wonder about how that might have contributed.
Nobody developed from g league ignite. That sht was cursed
How well you think Kuminga played depends on how much you watched the game. It’s not fun watching your team bomb out of the playoffs as he faces up and drives every possession. It’s also not fun reading comments from guys that are like “Kuminga had 30 points therefore he must be a good player and thus everyone else is the problem.”
Kum is a solid player. Santos is just underrated
yea wait until JK plays in the playoffs lol. He got outplayed by moody every playoffs series.
JK literally led the Warriors in scoring on amazing efficiency in a whole series vs. Timberwolves lol
what a terrible example. Steph went down so JK was one of the only offensive weapons they had. They lost the series of course. His individual stats didnt translate to wins.
you said every playoff series lol
so if he was one of their only offensive weapons…why was he getting DNPed?
yea cause Wolves were straight up better than Warriors w/o Curry. you think Warriors woulda won tonight w/o Curry?
lol he still got outplayed by moody bcuz he plays defense and contributes to winning. Empty ass offensive stats dont mean shit. PPG isnt everything.
JK was literally locking up Ant lol. so if Moody was so good, are you criticizing Kerr for only playing Moody 9 mpg?
would Gui’s stats be empty if Curry didn’t play tonight and Warriors lost? how about the last month when Warriors went on a massive losing streak without Curry but Gui was putting up good stats?
We were trying to show him off to trade him, dude. Once Curry went down, we could afford to let him do his thing.
I don’t know why you’d bring up Gui, he’s the worst and opposite comparison, a guy who does everything else needed, high IQ, and plays within what we want to do. All his stats are helpful to us.
trade Gui?
yall are the ones who compared the two, not me lol
Kuminga’s not a solid player.
Kum is not solid
he, porzingus and horford kept us alive in this game
Just booked my Espetus reservation
Going to fogo in solidarity
Fogo is trash, show de carne or galpao much better options
He was SO good tonight. There were multiple times where the Clippers could have pulled away but he made a stop, a pass or got a bucket to keep the Warriors in it.
He was the only reason I was watching this team in like March lmao
5 million a year is so crazy
One of the best contracts in the league
Never heard of this guy before but he reminds me of a 2000s player
He’s sorta in the archetype of Jaquez who you just faced but better shooter from 3 and defensive awareness / hustle.
He’s that Gui
He’s what Steve wanted JK to be
Gui actually contributes to winning and has good role-playing attributes. He’s smart off ball, cuts well, and can shoot. On top of that he’s big with excellent footwork. JK can get you 25 if you give him the ball the whole game but that’s not a recipe for team success.
what winning are we talking about? Warriors literally went on a massive losing streak the last 1-2 months while Gui was putting up the best stats of his career. the winning is because of Curry
Warriors lost vs. Wolves because Curry got hurt
Warriors were 19-13 when JK played last season, 7-10 when they didn’t pre-Jimmy trade
We lost 4 games straight
Kuminga will never be more than an empty stats player on a losing team. You can quote me on it
Gui out scoring kawhi as we all expected
Should’ve made that bet on Kalshi
Gui is that gui
He got attacked on defense but his hustle, passing, movement, shooting, and on-ball creation were crucial to keeping the offense going.
Might be 3rd best on the team with the ball in his hands at this point (behind Steph and Jimmy).
4th. Kristaps is better
Only if he gets the ball in the post / on a post-up. Not to initiate or playmake.
Agreed but it’s a consistent reliable source of offense whereas GUI is more situation dependent.
K. I meant as a primary ballhandler but pointless to debate this here…
The funny thing about that statement is Gui has been a remarkably consistent source of offense. In a 29-game stretch at the end of the season, he scored 13+ in 25 of those games. Like he isn’t going to catch fire and give you 30 or 40, but you can count on him getting an efficient 15 most nights.
That’s my Gui!
Gui has been insane all season
Silver lining losing the 7th pick on JK and trading him away. We got Gui fucken Santos.
Role player stepping up
Gui is what Steve wanted Kuminga to be.
Now we have a better player, who is a better fit, a better shooter and a much cheaper contract. Only downside is Kuminga can do windmill and dunk on ppl.
