Early on in Maxey’s career I thought maybe he could be the clutch performer that puts the sixers over the top. This year I’ve changed my mind and it’s not because of the insane percentages VJ has in the clutch. He makes the kind of winning plays that change games. It’s crazy to say about a rookie that people thought was raw coming out of college but he needs to be involved late in the game. The PG, Maxey or Embiid ISO is the opposite of strategy. Smart coaches destroy that shit in the playoffs. Or at least they have so far. VJ is the x factor and has been the whole season.

You’re just saying that because he put an obvious emphasis on rebounding this game. Not sure why but he grabbed a handful that were important. He averages half these rebounds. VJ is much more than 3&D even as young as he is. He’s not that much like Josh Hart. But he does make important plays on both ends.
