He is actually a terrorist. He hijacks possessions in a way no one else does. The magic where coming back with Bane, Paolo, and Black taking turns to cook but then he came back it became all about Paolo. He hijacks all offensive rhythm out of teh game. He took 25 shots to 18 points, had more turnovers than assists and is by far the weakest defender in the Orlando rotation which is hilarious considering they have a t-rex on their team

And it wasn’t even just on the offense, there were multiple times where I saw him jogging out to contest shooters at the 3pt line, not even leaving his feet for multiple rebounds despite being right under the basket and in good position, jogging back up court on fast break, etc etc.

He looks like he just gave up and quit halfway through the game. They need to try move him (and most of that team tbh) asap before his value craters even more. Maybe try sell him as a reclamation project, like maybe if he has a change of scenery and new coaches maybe he can live up to that #1 pick.

Paolo shows why tanking is so hit and miss. Even when you get the number 1 pick and get a guy who has a solid early career, if he doesn’t develop or have the right team around him that won’t mean he’ll be able to take that leap into a true superstar.
