[Daniel Li] Nikola Jokic Keeps Figuring Out Minnesota’s Plays
Joke’s gonna be on Jokic this weekend though when he can’t predict what Minnesota’s offense is gonna do because the players themselves don’t know what their offense is gonna do
Ah, the Drunken Master technique. Also known as the Jar Jar Binks.
Peak NA worlds strat
When is Jokic gonna have his 70 min Lee Sin game
“To confuse the opponent, you must first confuse yourself”
Ahh the get out there and have fun offense.
The Taylor Martinez method

The old play random strategy
It’s funny that Finch was the architect of the Denver offense, and the team was basically constructed to beat Denver, which should be a huge advantage. But then you have the other side of it, which is that Joker turns into a defensive coordinator because he can reverse engineer Finch’s offense in his head thus making the Minny advantage null.
And then Ant dunks hard and we have an advantage
couldnt predict gobert fadeaway shot
I imagine how that moment feels in my soul to this day is the polar opposite of how it feels to a Nugs fan.
Looking forward to another hellofa series! I don’t care what round it’s in, gonna be a riot.
He’s gonna hit a three this time 🙃
You used the words “defensive coordinator” and I automatically jumped to how my NFL team Cincinnati Bengals need him. He truly can’t be worse than who they have now
It gets easier to figure that stuff out when you play eachother a billion times too lol
I also won’t forget being downvoted to oblivion for stating that Jokic behaves like a middle linebacker for as much as he’s doing stuff like this on the defensive end. There’s this stigma that once a defender is seen as “bad”, they’re always bad. It’s the James Harden effect.
Part of the problem is he takes games or even stretches of games off where he is lazy on defense, and those who already decided he is a shit defender all the time point to those as their proof, while ignoring games like the last Spurs-with-Wemby game where he played good defense. Plus as you mentioned he regularly acts like coach on the floor on the defensive end.
Bro if he could give 100% on defense each possession , continue to do his offensive wizardry, and play his usual 35MPG he would be the actual GOAT. It’s just entirely unsustainable lol the guy is 7ft 280lbs give or take
Oh yeah he couldn’t play 100% defense every play for sure. There’s a middle ground between that and his worst games.
Wolves play checkers. Nuggets in 5
Huh?
They’re saying the Nuggets/Jokic are playing chess, y’all are playing checkers.
I get the reference, but he’s a wolves fan. It’s suppose to be Wolves in 5. Not Nuggets.
He’s a Wolves fan but a realist
A little too real in this day and age?
This is the kind of thing you hate to see. Have a little faith. New season starts Saturday.
Faith is not a strategy
Refs in 5*
Between this and the latest Thinking Basketball video, I’m glad defensive communication is getting a bit of spotlight.
Nuggets fans, this should be one of your talking points when people parrot that Jokic is a bad defender lol. In execution he may not be brilliant, but getting the team’s positioning correct is a big part of team defense. That’s an intangible reason some guys show better in impact stats.
It’s not even really worth arguing. No one is changing their stance at this point.
It’s strange how everyone is enamored with how he’s so effective offensively despite his relatively poor athleticism, but when he contributes defensively ways that don’t rely on athleticism, it somehow doesn’t mean anything. Dude hardly ever jumps even 6”off the ground on offense, but people need him to be constantly blocking shots or getting steals on the other end to be labeled a good defender.
Bron and Jokic both been doing this for years and people still say they bring no value to a defense because they stand around.
Remember when Gobert and Ant got interviewed afterwards? lol
I expected that to be in this video - they straight up admit he called out their exact plays.
This is the kind of stuff that makes him impossible to game plan for.
No player has ever done this before in the history of the NBA, I’ve seen enough
If Jokic isn’t MVP, it’s because the NBA is racist
What a weird thing to post.
Lakers bad
Well you’re not wrong there
I know how this sub thinks. But they downvote when I’m too on the nose
