Could be a slump, could be injury. It doesn’t matter though because leading the league in 3’s on historically elite efficiency as a rookie is too good and too large of a sample for it to be a fluke.

Im sure he’ll return to form again. The law of averages works both ways

Back injury

When we played him against the Kings the game after he landed on his back really hard I was furious. He really hasnt looked right since then. His last great game was against the Knicks weeks ago.

The other thing is that its incredibly cardio intensive to play like he does and guys like Steph are in the best shape of anyone in the NBA. Will take Kon a year or two to get like that.

He hurt his back and ankle 10 or so games ago. He was wearing a back brace for the first 4 or 5 games after. Not sure if he was wearing it between courts time or not last night.

He hasn’t been great since the beginning of march after a torrid February. I’d assume rookie wall or injuries.

He’s in a slump. Happens to all rookies and it was bound to happen to him especially how consistently good he was all year

Whenever you impact winning so much you’re in the ⁹⁄₁₀ play in game and benched because you’re a -20 in a 1 point game you just have to win ROTY

He’s probably exhausted as has never had to play so much, also I see from the other comments he has a back inury

Who is the Monstar that took Kons shooting powers and where is he?

For anyone watching recent games it’s pretty obvious he has tweaked something and has been dealing with it for a bit now. He has been wearing a back brace on and off on the sidelines. I’ve seen them pan to him several times where he suddenly grimaces while moving the wrong way on the bench as if he has a nerve impingement. He’s operating more stiff and seems more cautious about the way he’s moving.

I wouldn’t call a back issue a rookie wall. With the Hornets trying to get into the playoffs and every game being critical I think he hasn’t been able to get enough rest for it.

its crazy how Luka indirectly has basically cost Kon the award now by appealing his 65 game thing… if not, tonights game would of been irrelevant as the ballots would of all been submitted by now and Kon was heading for about a 65% 35 % result over Flagg based on the votes already released and general feeling despite Flaggs late surge.. now because the ballots are finally getting to voters friday, this game came at the worst possible time for him, yes it’s a regular season award but voters are human and many will now change their vote to Flagg unless Kon responds Friday vs Philly/Orlando in his last chance to impress voters as they recieve their ballot Friday and may likely vote that night or Saturday morning after they watch Kon once more see how he responds..

When your main role is to be a shoot, you’re bound to go through a shooting slump. He’s a rookie who just lead the entire league in threes made.

Honestly 11/5/3 isn’t all that bad for a role player. Probably close to his career averages when all is said and done.
