[Highlight] Jerami Grant slams it home in the final seconds as the Portland Trail Blazers defeat the Phoenix Suns 114-110 to advance as the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference. They will play the No. 2 seed San Antonio Spurs in the first round.
Let’s not play our starting center at all in the fourth quarter. Good job Ott
for some reason Donovan Clingan wasn’t really in the 4th quarter either though. Maybe they were both a bit banged up
Well Clingan was getting cooked in the Pick n Roll and couldn’t finish some easy buckets in the paint. Also that flagrant happened so coach took him out.
He’s such a hot head and when it boils over it sucks.
What a crazy thumbnail for your video lol
It’s not my video, but it’s kind of crazy that’s what every comment about the video is about.
Yeah our head athletic trainer Katie Babcock is a fairly attractive woman. There’s other stuff going on
Portland went small with an all wings and/or big guards lineup so Phoenix basically had to match.
Avdija/Camara/Grant is a pretty mobile and switchable defensive lineup actually.
But the Blazers has size provided by Avdija and Grant, which the suns doesn’t have
Lol I mean I he’s never out there as much as I’d expect.
Portland never gets momentum if Clingan doesn’t get that easy rebound and kicks it out for a 3. Going small helps for stretches of a few minutes, but it shouldn’t be used for entire quarters.
Can someone explain his tendency to play small, have seen it so many times and it almost never goes well
There is no explanation, we are in disbelief. We have Maluach and Fleming and we hardly get to see them play. Ott’s done this like 7 games in a row now and it just keeps intensifying to micro ball. It’s infuriating as a suns fan.
Damn I thought Ott was getting his flowers earlier in the season
He did, but that team had Green out. When Green came back Ott hasn’t been able to figure it out. Our team stars, Booker green and brooks, have only played like 6 or 7 games together all season. And this microball otts been playing for the last 7 games has been hard to watch.
it’s cause their rookies and their game is still developing but yea it still sucks
Even Steve Kerr knows to put on Dray, suns not only doesn’t have a 5, they also lack a proper 4, everyone is shorter than 6’6 on the field, unbelievable
So the Suns decided to copy our tanking strategy in an elimination game? Bold move Cotton
No rim protection at all.
We got two amazing play-in games, have two more tomorrow, and we’re gonna get Suns vs the winner of Clippers/Warriors in a few days.

You might want to read that sentence again :)
I meant that the Suns will play the winner of the Clippers and Warriors game in a few days.
Warriors will cook Suns
we’ll just have to wait and see
I like optimism, but I haven’t seen anything since Jimmy went down to suggest that is even a remote possibility.
Suns were pretty sloppy in the last 5 min tbh. Blazers capitalized
Blazers had such a bad start to the 4th, too. Turnovers and ugly shots, the fight to finish this game was incredible.
that stupid backcourt turnover into a made 3 had me thinking about how a rematch with the clippers would look, ngl
That and Sharpe falling over out of bounds while dribbling were painful to watch as a neutral
Yeah, I thought you guys were done for. Great rally!
I’m very happy to see Jrue and Timelord advance!
Blazers played very sloppy before that. They kept fumbling the ball on every drive attempt, and missed many FTs.
Usually, it’s the more veteran team that overcomes slopiness and play well down the stretch, but the inverse happened in this game.
Suns went on a 24-2 run before they completely collapsed. Brooks was driving that intensity. When he got his 5th foul it starting going down hill really fast and ott played the smallest lineup I’ve seen so far. It was crazy to watch as a fan
Because the pacers finally realized their opponent has no rim protection, so they just drive and kick out, boom
That was a clean strip off the offensive board, normally guards do that to bigs (Chris Paul)
He grabbed his arm pulled him to the ground? Am I blind?
Watch the closeup replay. It’s clean.

I screen shotted it for you ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Edit: does Imgur not work? The link doesn’t redirect properly for me
Yeah I’m just seeing a cat video, which honestly is appreciated.
Idk I was watching live and saw it replayed up close a few times. It looked clean on those replays.
If it was a foul, it made up for the handful of pretty blatant no calls on the blazers down the stretch. Especially on Grants last corner three. Meanwhile Booker was getting every soft touch foul down the stretch.
It’s been a while since I used imgur and it seems to have gotten harder to just upload a picture and share it, which used to be the entire point of the dang website.
Anyway if you link to a “gallery” it doesn’t seem to work, I forget the workaround.
let’s freeeeeeeeeaking go. two insane games tonight
He was clutch as anybody with corner threes. Active in D, putting all effort on everything coach wanted
He’s way overhated. Huge 4Q from him
The last couple seasons demonstrate that Jerami is a good player, but you can’t expect him to be some kind of iso god night in and night out. Good size, good catch and shoot, decent in 1v1. Fashion icon.
It’s the hangover from last season where he was terrible and still collecting a 30m check. He’s sneakily had a solid season in a reduced bench role lately.
That smooth block-steal at the rim coming out of nowhere was sick AF.
That entire sequence was so fucking hype.
Can’t wait to read Dillon Brooks’ follow up article in the players tribune
Happy for Portland. Good developing team.
Fellow Spurs fans, how are we feeling about this matchup?
Y’all are gonna kill us
My quote to my wife (who doesn’t care) after the buzzer. At least I get to watch Wemby annihilate us instead of SGA
Pucker you butthole lottery winners
Kudos to him for just slamming that shit and not get intentionally fouled for pointless 2 FTs with 0.5 secs left and extending the game time by another 5 minutes.
Almost looks like Jrue fouls him on the shot but if you replay it over and over, he somehow seems to avoid hitting him? I would need 2nd angle. Then Jeremi stripped the guy who rebounded and was too fast to be a foul there. Was kind of stunning sequence.
I think he got him on the wrist/hand, but it was after the shot anyway. There was a much worse one a few possessions before where Green hit Grant on the body during a corner three.
The worst was when the ball grazed the rim and the suns kicked it back out to Booker and no one reset the clock and they got the shot clock violation. It was pretty shoddy
i was super shocked that wasn’t an and-one off that three
Feels like one of those times where the refs would’ve called a foul if Jerami had missed it.
Few times refs swallowed whistles and this instance they swallowed it also.
Stupid contest for that heave lol
Green was red hot all night so it made sense to contest and it mostly looked stupid because Green did the classic flail and fall foul baiting shit that everyone does these days.
I was there and I want to die
Forgot this mf exists tbh

why would you trim the clip without the start of the PHX possession? Do better u/nba
They called way softer fouls than that all night
Typical suns collapse though I’m so sick of it
How is this a highlight?
Wb the no call at the start
That is not a foul, especially in the last 30 seconds lol.
No one wants that shit called
Bro kicked his leg out as well, so you talking about the offensive foul?
High fives aren’t fouls, there was no contact on the shot, Green flopped.
I do not want to see the blazers in the playoffs. They will be swept 🧹 boring matchup for the spurs.
…as opposed to the Suns?
Yeah idk spurs are kicking both our asses in the playoffs idk why it matters. (Blazers in 5 btw)
Top seeds rarely have “exciting” matchups. That’s part of why you want to be the first (or second) seed.
