Can someone fill me in? I thought reddit hated anti semitism. Is it situational? Or….
reddit will stop at nothing to virtue signal for cheap upvotes
What a great start for the Blazers. They really stepped up their defense in the second half, which made a huge difference against a talented Suns team.
JG GREAT PERFORMANCE SORRY OTT WASTED IT
entire arena was deflated af including myself
Suns can’t get a bucket except by flopping
I just watched the full game highlights from their matchup a month ago thinking it was this game lmao. Didn’t wanna spoil anything so I clicked the first video when I looked up suns v blazers. Needless to say, i was confused
Listen man, I love Jordan Goodwin but I am genuinely shocked at the lack of desperation shown from Ott. He was good tonight don’t get me wrong, but you have Highsmith, Fleming, Coffey, and Dunn on the bench, all competent and bigger wings than Jordan Goodwin and at least capable enough shooters and drivers, I don’t understand how he’s out there trying to get stops on Advija who is absolutely cooking us. Just stubborn coaching decisions consistent with how we closed the season.
Rob will knew this game was won 5 hours ago

It’s funny how many teams were rooting for the Suns to lose
Us to increase our pick’s odds
Grizzlies so that Suns can miss the play-off and get their pick.
Bulls because if Portland won Bulls would get a pick from them.
We also are in on their pick lmao
Wizards as well
24-4 run early into the fourth quarter and we somehow won this game. I think we had a stretch of about 5 minutes without a basket. Wild ending.
We threw hard and then the Suns decided they wouldnt be out thrown
It felt like the only two people who wanted to win the game were Deni and Jalen Green.
Jrue was putting in work
Shaedon Sharpe dunks will finally be broadcast in the playoffs, thank the lord.
At least until we lose to the Spurs, but still.
Thank the TIMElord https://i.redd.it/eu15s7hkej091.jpg
We’re gonna get smoked by the Spurs (I’m guessing 4-1), but that’s fine, it just feels good to be in the playoffs again. I love this team, it’s a lot of fun.
Shaedon over wemby would feed families
Imagine if he got horizontal again like the one on Westbrook early in the season. Might actually die from the hype on that, even in a loss.
Wait…do you have a clip? This sounds amazing
It was amazing
“The Cobra! Chya ya ya ya!”
holy shit!
I’m excited his dunks will finally be on national tv!
This is good for the Clippers.
Please god don’t let OKC get a lottery pick
if you can beat the warriors first lol
I hope warriors lose so this injured ass team can rest.
They lost to the tanking Kings with their premium tank lineup minus Monk. Guaranteed win for the Clips.
lol talk is cheap. let’ see how it goes tomorrow,
If the Suns do win their elimination game, I think OKC is better for them FWIW.
Im just glad we’re not the one fighting for a spot to get flattened by OKC
I mean….. Spurs gonna flatten us too probably. 😂
I haven’t been watching the Blazers much this season, but I figure your physical post defenders and Jrue Holiday out on the wing would keep the games closer than anyone is comfortable with
Am Yisrael Chai
Booker folded like a chair in big moments
its cuz he knows we have all seen his hog.
when he gets in stressful situations he gets flashbacks about the leaks. ptsd
And big, physical defenders are his kryptonite.
That’s the Booker experience. Learned well from Chris Paul.
Eh, CP3 usually played well in the playoffs, he just got injured all the time.
Definitely not CP3. He deadass used to average 22 and 11 on good efficiency
Chris Paul is just getting hurt at the wrong time tho.
he does that every year
I LOVE YOU DENI!
The Synthetic Sports boys must be excited and worried at the same time. Excited because they won the play-in; worried because the Blazers will gonna play the Spurs.
The what
Oh, they are YouTubers who talked about basketball and sometimes football - and mostly are Trailblazer diehards.
They’re great but gargle Trailblazer balls whenever they can
It is a running gag at this point that every video they make, there will always be a Trailblazer mentioned.

I used to play the NBA 2K games but never watched the NBA. I have only watched the 2022 finals and haven’t watched anything since. I now got to watch this match and I think I’m gonna support Portland now.
RIPCITY!!!!!!!
Fuck yeah, welcome aboard.
We’re gonna win the chip this year !!!!! 🏆
I appreciate the optimism but we’re probably gonna get smoked by the Spurs in the first round lol. I’m just glad we’re back in the playoffs after a five year drought though.
I have a feeling that we’re gonna win against the Spurs idk how but i just have that feeling…maybe it’s just that I’m super hyped up after today’s game but i think we’ll do it.
Btw since I’m new to the whole Blazers franchise, could you please recommend me some videos or write ups or documentaries or something like that, to help me learn about our team’s history.
there’s a jailblazers documentary on netflix
Why would you recommend this 😭😂
Ohh I’ll watch that then. Thanks 😊
Welcome brother
Thank you bro 😘
We welcome you!
Thank you so much ❤️❤️
All these comments talking about Deni and his free throws yet Booker shot just as many
Deni had 41 tonight it’s okay to just give him his props and move on
Avdija haters in shambles tonight
[removed]
I live for your rage
The anime teenagers on r/nba are really mean you guys :(
Cry
I was responding to a crying comment lmao
That’s some fresh pasta.
Booker was jumping in to contact and flopping all over go cope somewhere else man
Show me some clips of him flopping from tonight’s game please.
lmao
Holy salt 🤣
Booker literally did that 3 times tonight. Take a seat.
If I don’t, can you donate that $100 to support Palestine instead please?
I already do.
Good, thank you. War and the suffering that it causes is a terrible thing.
Oh he didn’t get into the paint. He’s not strong enough it was in the midrange and i don’t support Israel.
You said “Booker literally did that 3 times tonight”
Props for sure. FTs earlier or not, those last few possessions were some tough finishes.
Yeah he earned those free throws, he was getting to the rim at will.
They were promised to him 3000 years ago
lol this is wild, I’ve never ever read this joke. ever
He’s been doing it all season, leads the NBA in drives per game, which is why the foul conversations are so annoying. No one watches Portland games though, so they just complain about the fouls he draws without context
You’re welcome, Chicago.
how does Chicago benefit from this?
They get a first round pick since we won
whose first do they get?
Ours. We’ve owed them our first pick, but it’s been lottery protected for a few years. As soon as we made the playoffs, the pick was going to convey.
So they’ll get an extra mid-first round pick this year.
Portland’s pick which was top 14 protected will convey to Chicago
Im not sure tbh
Man D Book has fallen off so much, I remember when he vs Donovan Mitchell was a convo and I was on the Booker side of things. Just can’t really generate separation without the off arm anymore, his shot just isn’t there and decision making leaves something to be desired.
Man D Book has fallen off so much, I remember when he vs Donovan Mitchell was a convo
u shoulld see da money they paid for booker, u can say its a lot of cap space for a dude who seems to be struggling. but honestly i think the real issue is just how flawed the roster construction is. the flaws r getting exposed hard now that things r tightening up cuz its playoffs. its like everyone on the floor is playing out of position and it looks so awkward… like trying to run a marathon in flip flops or wearing your shoes on the wrong feet lol. its just weirdly uncomfortable to watch. I mean imagine Klay thompson (or Kyle korver lol) playing PG not everyone is Harden or Ginobili. Heck u even got goodwin at 6’3 trying to guard actual small forwards, which is supposed to be Dilion brooks position. its no wonder guys like deni and jrue r cooking them. They should be at the lottery looking for maybe another PF like aron gordon/scottie barnes type and a true PG.
this team was literally projected to be a lottery team coming into the year. saying booker fell off is not that wild but when u actually look at the context of the lineups hes dealing with rn, it will be understandable.
almost everyone on the floor is playing completely out of their usual spots. book is being forced to run PG instead of his natural 2 guard spot (which he played for majority of his career) then for the last 2 or 3 years he was then asked to play in a PG (like how CJ mccollum was) , so ofc his shot and separation look weird when playoff defenses tighten hes constantly having to facilitate and share playmaking duties with jalen green, brooks and goodwin (also shooting guards/wings) instead of just focusing on getting to his spots and scoring.
and look at the rest of the rotation… u got dillon brooks playing PF when the dude is literally a wing (sure his tenacity and motor can make him a PF). but the problem is u also got goodwin who is 6’3 trying to play small forward lol. the size disadvantages are crazy. not to mention they didn’t even have grayson allen out there today, so the suns are cooked.
losing a close one to the blazers with this weird ass rotation doesnt totally mean book is super washed (maybe half washed lol), the roster situation is just forcing everyone to play weird roles they arent used to.
They still have a chance to become a lottery team btw.
fair enough, I’m a longtime Book fan. Comment was less about this game and moreso a broader observation of him vs his peers over the past few years. Mitchell, Brunson etc. are all as good as ever while it seems like Book’s peak may have been his mid 20s.
I’m sure a better roster around him would help but I just see a material decline in some of his skills regardless. I think the days of deep playoff runs with Book as your #1 might be in the past, regardless of roster changes though. I would love to be wrong.
fallen off? he’s always been super mid
He’s about to get a massive extension
Yikes for Phoenix. This group isn’t going anywhere.
no one will read this but just cuz I feel like after a chippy game no one will stick around from the Suns fandom, i wanted to say some things about their team that impressed. I thought Green in the first half was the scarier than KD in the first half. Brooks was a dog who made game saving/winning plays, some which were really tough too. in a lot of ways the suns played the better game for 3.5 quarters. Jerami Grant really changed the calculus here
When Jalen Green hit that 4 point play at the buzzer, I had such a bad feeling that would end up being the difference in the game. The dude absolutely balled out today and was scoring effortlessly even when we defended him really well.
Tbh can’t be mad losing to a rising up and coming team. And this loss is more on our Coach who hasn’t learned from the last 10 games and Booker who at this stage of his career needs to play way more off ball. I will say Deni Avdija, Clingan, and Camara bring ridiculous value for your team especially on their contracts. Just need either Sharpe or Scoot to reach their potential
/r/nba is pretty awful to Suns fans, but we’re chilling on our sub and discord. Thanks for the nice words.
I personally really enjoy Green, Booker, Williams, and Brooks
Always rooting for Jalen Green. Would not have been that mad if he cooked us to a win. The mid-range shots him and the suns made were crazy.
Deni has the potential to be a superstar. Does not fold in clutch, shot creator.
i’ve been using the Jimmy Butler comp. it’s not pretty and he’s not there on defense, but his ability at the rim is crazy. Hoping the rest of the team can step up in a playoff series because we can’t expect this kind of shit every night.
IMO Deni’s closest comparison is Great Value Lebron.
Grant Hill
Fr bro Green was on fire today
Everyone is probably going to look at his numbers and think he balled out, but he failed at passing the ball. The suns who won early in the season were not an iso ball team. They passed and passed and passed. The ball just dies with Jalen and it infects the rest of the team. No one else can get going because he is the only one touching the ball the entire possession.
Ding ding. Jalen Green can get some buckets, sure, but he’s a volume scorer, and not a very good one. He made some pretty boneheaded plays in the fourth that flipped the momentum when the game was still in phoenix lap. At this point, I would be surprised if he ever amounts to anything other than a sixth man.
there was a stretch in the first half where i was about as miserable watching ball as i’ve been all season
I read this
and i love you
<3

Not to mention 20m of dead money from Beal on the books and no owned picks for 5 years. Truly holding on by a thread.
He relies heavily on his first step and elevation to get a shot off. He’s not going to age well at all.
Quite the opposite. He doesn’t have a good first step anymore, and he lost his elevation. This is what he looks like just brute forcing it
No ones talking about that flagrant on Brooks by Clingan, that was the turning point 🫡
It was total BS
Flopgrant
Holy fuck what a night for the nba.
I NEED TO MAKE LOUD NOISES BUT I’M IN AN APARTMENT BUILDING WITH THIN WALLS AND I DON’T WANT TO GET MY FRIEND IN TROUBLE!
FUCK YES FUCK YES FUCK YES! YOU’RE NEXT…..SAN An….tonio….
Well, fuck.
Made the first round of the playoffs just to get waxed by a contender. Back to tradition, brother.
kling kong can hold back wemby!
I’m just glad I’ll get to watch wemby instead of SGA
exactly my reaction - plus watching Dort absolutely maul Deni for 4 games is not my idea of fun either
We’re still in the stage where I like wemby for being an amazing player because he hasn’t crushed our dreams for a decade yet.
Why couldn’t we play Houston? We did really well against them in the first round last time!
suns choking leads in 4Q needs to be investigated
they really crumble under pressure lately
lately
Sure…if “lately” meant the past few years…
they’re ass
That was like a bubble dame type performance from Deni
Portland dead in the water with 6 min to go and we just fucking roll over. Sick
Grant b2b corner threes completely flipped the game
That’s what happens when you give max contracts to top a player who barely made it to all nba third team two years ago. He’s not even top 20
K.
Booker is being paid almost $1m per game, think it’s time the Suns re-evaluated him and/or his contract next go around.
That two year extension starting 2029 for $145m is a killer.
his shot is just off and he keeps relying on that off arm just to get space. decision making has been pretty mid lately too (kinda crazy to think we wer debating him vs donovan mitchell a couple yrs ago), I think their roster constructions flaw were just exposed in playins playoffs when defense tightens, its more like these guys were all playing out of position like goddamnn chewing your ricecakes with mouthsores its weirdly uncomfortable.
you gotta look at the big picture, this team was projected to be a lottery squad before the season started, so the fact they’re even in the mix right now is a legit miracle.
it’s easy to say he “fell off”, but the context of these lineups is actually cooked. book is a natural 2guard/SG, but he’s being forced into that floor general role like what happened with CJ McCollum. when playoff-level defense tightens up, of course his separation looks worse, he’s exhausted from having to facilitate for everyone else. imagine trying to force klay thompson or jalen green to be a full time PG, theyd look out of rhythm too.
I feel like the roster construction is just weird right now. you have dillon brooks playing PF, and even though his motor is huge and has big dawg in him, hes still a wing. then you’ve got goodwin at 6’3 trying to guard small forwards. the size disadvantage alone is killing them which is why Deni and Jrue are cooking them. plus, with grayson allen out, its gotta be frustrating for booker to even operate (and this is way back after all star break).
they dont need to trade book at the moment (maybe later????), they just need a real point guard so he can go back to being a pure scorer instead of having all these “masquerade guards” trying to run an offense they aren’t built for.
A real point guard like… Chris Paul… I swear I was mad when they traded him.
Who would want him at that price?
I’d take him. I feel like people are overreacting, his game is nice. His efficiency dipped a bit, but 26/4/6 on above league avg efficiency on a team like he has is very nice.
He has everything you want in a star/co-star.
Yep, he’s just not that dude. He looked like the next big thing in the early 2020s but hasn’t been the same since CP left. He’s way too passive now and masquerades it as being a playmaker, also seems to have lost some athleticism.
He’s had multiple hamstring injuries the last couple of years, and you’re right, it does look like he’s lost a step.
FREE FROM THE SHACKLES OF NIEL OLSHEY. ENJOY THAT PICK CHICAGO.
I’m glad we are losing the pick this season tbh. I think it will free us up to be a lot more flexible in our moves this offseason. It also could’ve scary that if we missed the playoffs next year, we would lose a Bucks pick.
Fair exchange!
🤝
Unironically
Evenly matched mid-offs like this game are the best part of the post season.
don’t
It’s like a second helping of March madness
the leage is considering reducing the number of games, imagine if all playoff series were 1 game sudden death. the nba championship game might get as big as the superbowl
Was Booker injured? He looked slow, and didn shoot nearly as well as usual. Thought I might have seen him hobbling near the end too.
No. He even took two games off for this game. He’s just disappointing.
He had an elevated Camara count.
People have expectations for 36 year old Dame coming off that injury?
I do not. Other insane Blazer fans expect him to perform like 2019 Dame. : shrug :
I will be delighted if he proves me wrong!
He still shoots better than anyone on the team lol. And has way more composure with the ball than anyone on the team. We don’t expect him to carry us, but he certainly will contribute in a positive way.
He was sorely missed when Phoenix went on that 20 point run
The Play-In Tournament was a great idea
That was a massive carrying job by Deni. Also old man Grant was clutch there.
Too scared to guard Deni man even when the defender puts their hands behind their backs he somehow draws a foul with the defender’s shoulders.
Seems like he gets drives to the basket much easier because of that. Do have to give him props anyways tho, he made a lot of those tough baskets.
Booker was 7-17 shooting outside the key flopping his ass off, yet had just as many FTs. Shut the hell up
He didn’t watch the game
Never doubted the Blazers for a second
That’s a lie and you know it.
Brook with a pretty good game
Dillon Brook ISO was eyes bleach, everytime he drives he fumble the ball or put up some comedic shots.
Jerami Grant earned his entire contract in the final 5 minutes. idc
What about Booker and his $70 million-a-year contract?
look, he’s 99% of Suns fans favorite player, I understood it when we gave Dame the massive contract too, and the “hope” is by doing it early you avoid the cap inflation.
but yeah not good lol
I swear he only torments the Twolves.. Nice to see he shows up against another team too
He was shooting that shit
And blocking and/or stealing that shit too!
the block and the three were the two plays of the game imo. Like Deni was getting his, but really those two plays flipped the entire game.
Grant eats that shit for breakfast!
Another banger game. Sixers and Magic better not disappoint. Warriors and Clippers, too.
Also I gotta say it, Dillon Brooks is annoying as hell, but I’d love him if he played for my team
If the warriors win tomorrow, dude is going to be smiling at that Friday game waiting to torment Steph again. Regardless of effectiveness, dude is an absolute pest.
I thought he was about to throw a punch multiple times, but it’s all part of his persona
He won my respect tonight. Made this game so much more interesting. Played with pure heart. Straight up dawg, fuck the haters. Bring that boi back to Oregon
Well yeah, he did and we did when he was in college
