Not only did it gift us single elimination playoff atmosphere games like this, it stops the 9, 10, and even 11 seeds from blatantly shutting down their season and tanking in March.
Single game elimination is almost always going to be awesome. Compare it to a Game 7, usually the teams know each other very well so everything is harder to come by, and the teams are exhausted. Game 7s are usually intriguing but ugly basketball, this was just insane basketball.
