Honestly I get the impression that Charles and Shaq just aren’t really into basketball that much anymore.

I can’t remember the last time they acted like they enjoyed watching a game. You see a guy like Tim Legler or even Stan Van Gundy, those guys fucking LOVE watching basketball and it shows.

It was nice seeing Chuck and Kenny without Shaq for March madness. It wasn’t must see tv or anything but a nice reminder of back in the day before shaq wrecked the vibe 

I enjoy it still, it’s just a laugh.

after a season full of prime and NBC/peacock I can’t believe I used to think TNT was good. They were only good because of the fact all we had was them or espn for 22 years.

I watch for the comedy, not the basketball analysis. When you also do that, then you’ll have a lot more fun with the show. In fact, I don’t even watch Inside the NBA until they actually stop talking about basketball.

Isn’t it super popular? I love this show.

They’ve been hating on the players for the last like 10 years we can’t pretend this is a new trend.

Prime and NBC showing you can still crack jokes while analyzing the game without having to act like you hate the sport/players you cover

You don’t have to watch. I’d rather grumpy old men complaining than the ones where they just kiss everyone’s ass the whole show. Talk about boring.

Sports fans love to project like they want the x and o’s, super in depth analysis just to never put the time and effort to ever showcase those things because it’s just easier to be lazy and interact with things you don’t like and complain. Everyone loves to act like the stat nerd yet need the information force fed to them at all times.

It’s a decent comedy show, but it never meets the moment in terms of making games feel more important.

I’m going the other way. We constantly (and correctly) complain that every league’s “broadcast partner” does nothing but glaze and protect the league in order to stay friendly with them for the next rights negotiation. These guys truly don’t give a shit about appeasing Adam Silver. They will call out the problems with the NBA all the time. No other league-affiliated show goes anywhere near as far as they do, and their popularity protects them.

When Inside the NBA ends, it’ll get replaced by some league-approved slop where 8 talking heads all spew a bunch of forgettable crap that’s nothing more than a marketing arm of the NBA.

I never really thought it was as good a show as most people did.  I get why it appeals to people though.  When they start goofing around, it can be entertaining, but it’s not a great basketball show if you actually care about basketball.  

The show should’ve ended years ago.

Went to the lakers game today. (Free BTW) Sat in section 114 and people kept asking my brother and I if we knew who was on the Jazz team. If you guys think there isn’t a problem with the NBA idk what to tell you.

You know what ESPN did? They put the show on a couple times a year, so that we would forget about it and let it go.

Inside the NBA has done damage to the nba imo. The constant complaining and highlighting the negative has for sure made the national discourse talk about everything wrong with the sport. Compare that to the NFL’s coverage where it’s all sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes it’s not a bad thing to glaze the sport your covering

I would literally prefer the steam room podcast to what they put on air. Chuck and Ernie doing golf was infinitely better. The nostalgia for the show has worn for me and its just a bad product
