I was scared of the Magic last year and predicted they’d be a problem for us going forward. But after seeing how their season went this year, this game went how I expected it to.

If it makes you feel any better. Ron Harper Jr is actually going to be good. He already had a 22 point game against San Antonio, he just can’t find PT because Boston has so many wings they want to play. Harper was one of the best players in the g-league this year before he got called up to the Celtics.

Not that it will make the loss sting any less, but I really think Harper Jr, will be a household name a couple years from now.

figured he’d do something like this game but should have known it’d be Baylor, not Pritch leading the way.

He’s been such a fun development story this year - able to transition from being more of “the guy” in Maine to a great role player while with the main squad and (importantly!) not afraid to take the shot if he’s open. I said a couple weeks ago that I was more confident in an open look from him than some of our regulars who often seem to miss the open shot. An extra ball handler with size is a plus.

He was pretty wildly out of shape to begin his career. He lost a decent amount of weight, and it kind of unlocked everything for him. He got quicker on both sides of the ball, looked more explosive, and the more time he got in the G-league he developed his offensive game until he was the #1 option on Maine.

I wanted Boston to draft him in the 2nd before he went undrafted, but even I had lost a little hope after his couple years with the Raptors. He really locked in after being picked up by Boston though.

When he was relegated to a 2-way by the Celtics and looking great whenever he played, I had no idea how other teams weren’t signing him. Milwaukee was wasting an NBA contract on a family member of a player that everyone knows they’re trading during the offseason, but no one could find an NBA contract for a guy that is long, has zero fear of being on an NBA court, and only produces well when he actually gets minutes?

Whatever, it’s great for us that no one wanted him when we couldn’t offer him a real contract without going over the cap.
