Needing to win two in a row to get in (off 44 wins, which in a lot of years would get you the six seed in the East too) sucks but it’s not like the Magic or the Sixers without Embiid are some juggernaut; whoever wins Wednesday is probably at least a bit better than them. Just got to make Wednesday like the last meeting with the Heat and not the three before that.
Don’t want the season to end here - I think the playoff experience would be better for the team than getting the 14th pick and I think they could take a couple games off Detroit where the shots are falling to make it fun too - but unlike most of the years where the Hornets or Bobcats have looked less awful than usual (Kemba and Al Jefferson, or the Stephen Jackson/Gerald Wallace playoff year) there’s an actual foundation this time that could grow. 50 wins next year seems very attainable to me, and as low as that bar is they haven’t been there unless you go back to the Glen Rice days of the original Hornets.
I don’t think it’s likely they win 2 games against Detroit, the Pistons have straight dominated them this season and none of the Hornets core has any playoff experience
Also Duren vs Diabate may be the biggest mismatch in the league

Proud of the Knicks bench for keeping it that close. Charlotte looked decent in being able to put this away from the beginning. I’m excited to see both of these teams in the playoffs. Get through them play-ins, yall hungry hornets.

He’s playing low minutes because he’s been dealing with a nagging injury all season. I think he’ll accept a bench role as long as it’s closer to 25 minutes and we’re winning
He’s earned a starting role and a starter’s paycheck in this league. As a huge Coby fan since he was in high school, I’ll be absolutely shocked if he doesn’t sign somewhere that offers him a starting spot.

Respectable effort from that unit. Inexplicable amount of missed layups but they hit some tough shots lol. They started to annoy the Hornets with their ball pressure in the 3rd.

The Charlotte Hornets, Many people are saying one of the Most underrated teams anywhere, went into New York and beat the Knicks. Total domination. The Knicks starters were SCARED, and even, had the crowd, the arena, the FAKE confidence, all of it and still couldn’t get it done. SAD! Tremendous victory for the Hornets. New York fans are Not having a good time right now, I can tell you that! THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!
I have had all sorts of people coming up to me, good people too, telling me how the Hornets from Charlotte stood no chance. No chance against the New York KnickerBOCKERS. You know what I said to them? I said, “You all are FOOLISH and do not know ball!” Thats what they say now isn’t it? These kids nowadays. You know how they are. They see this GREAT man get up here and think he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I tell them to dig into the books and find one time where I wasn’t a winner. I mean, BIG TIME WINNER.
