Even per-36 might be a smidge flawed, pace differs across eras and is the best predictor for P+R+A+B+S; the more possessions there are, the more things that happen. Players who played in the late-90s/early-00s are likely disadvantaged

(29.5)+(13.6)+(5.6)+(1)+(1) = 50.7

50.7 / 30.4 = 1.668

1.668 * 36 = 60.048

You could do a per 48 adjustment or per 100 possessions

Everyone agrees he’s mvp caliber, but he isn’t the mvp this season.

Honestly haven’t seen more than a few trolls saying he isn’t ‘MVP calibre’. But there are generally around 5-6 MVP calibre players (and sometimes even more than that) in any one season. It’s very different to being a true MVP candidate, especially when it comes to the end of the season when that list shortens massively.

So dumb. So yes this guy has height as his genetic advantage. What if a guy is just born to be faster than other people? More coordinated than other people? More explosive than other people? They’re all generic blessings.

As if other NBA players aren’t extremely gifted physically in other aspects. Even the physically slower players are born with higher processing speed like Luka and Jokic. Another genetic advantage.
