Garland was food
Biggest win of the Bulls season so far lol.
Trail Blazers did exactly the same thing they did last game - just ruthlessly target Garland non-stop, and once again, it was a very successful strategy leading to a double-digit margin victory.
This makes me gain even a stronger appreciation for last year’s Cavaliers. How they built a team at that level with Garland being one of the core components, is something that I now have newfound respect for. I just don’t see how you can win with him in the playoffs.
Mathurin only played 5 minutes?
He’s been pretty bad the past couple weeks. He looked really passive so I think pulling him was the right call
Bet the turf toe is really bothering him again. Thats what happened with us earlier in the season.
Deserved win, Avdija was incredible in the 4th
We need the Kings to beat the Blazers lol
Same as us Jazz fans too
No, league needs to stop giving FT to avdija
I hate the mf but these were legit fouls
Send a single clip of an undeserved FT from this game
Right, he should have gotten a few more foul calls actually, if anything
No, the Clippers need to stop fouling him.
Need the SoCal duo Russ and Demar to actually play and do us a favour
It’s going to be up to Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud to save the Clippers bacon.
Praise the ethical tankers giving us a chance.
We played horrible that 4th quarter but damn these refs did us no favors tonight
Tha notorious bias the league shows to small market teams over teams from LA is well known š¤”
i’m still waiting.
I don’t know why you get downvoted, it was obvious mostly in the first quarterĀ
Might be an all time ref performance.
Yeah the refs really shut Mathurin Batum and Collins down
please send me clips of the discrepancy. i’ll wait.
Don’t hold your breath on that one. The Deni haters never bring receipts.
Garland is BRUTAL defensively
He’s not so great offensively against teams with perimeter size either. Good player but just has real dimensional limitations.
Does he have his full mobility back?
Yeah Camara was really all over him today
He is a big reason the Cavs were so ass in the playoffs, when the game is slower and more physical, he does nothing on defense and is at best average on offense.
Yup. Against the Pacers the smallest starting guard was 6’5” 190 (Which was Haliburton with all the joys that brought), then McConnel at 6’1” 190 as a reserve. Nembhard is an inch shorter than Tyrese, but heavier. Nesmith taller and a good bit stronger. Same for Mathurin.
Then Jerome also had an epicly bad series.
Blazers Abused him hard last time too
Garland has consistently been awful on both ends in any kind of playoff-type situation
The bar to be an effective small guard is incredibly high
Especially small in both height and weight. If he was unironically more of a bronny build physically I think it would be a different conversation.
these new threads aren’t supported on old reddit gg
one of these days they will take old reddit offline and i will weep
That’s the day I’ll stop using reddit.
You wont.
I will.
Me too. I hate the “new” look and feel. It’s awkward and clunky. I’ll definitely reduce my Redditting when the inevitable time comes.
Traffic would drop quite a bit
absolutely, that fucking thing is ugly
Garland already in playoff form with 16 points on 16 shots…
3000 years, idf, blah blah upvotes here /s
Drops Clippers near the 9th or 10th seedĀ
35 to 12 FT disparity well damnĀ
Will this be a foreshadow of the play-in, or will it be a fuel for fire and game plan for Clippers?
I think the Warriors are a favorable matchup for the Clippers, but if Steph is playing at full health then you never know.
There is no planning for having no centers.
Pretty much the main problem. Last time they had a healthy starting center was their season’s third string center Isaiah Jackson on March 27th. It’s been rough and is such a clear flaw for this roster that they just won’t be able to coach their way around.
Not gonna win a game where Collins and Mathurin combine for 0/2/1 and Garland can’t shoot or defend.
And it doesn’t really help things when the opponent shoots THREE TIMES as many free throws and is called for nearly half as many fouls…
Nobody takes the 8 seed from the Blazers
But why are they the #4 seed?
No one gets swept in the first round without getting through us first
It’s part of our culture. And missing clutch ft too. And having ass GMs that seem good on paper at first. And a lot of other disappointing things
Canāt forget unforced turnovers
Live ball turnovers š¤blazers. Bonus points if itās off an end of game inbounding play
I mean, we’re basically #1 in that
23 more free throws š
Somehow Kawhi only had 3 free throws despite the aggressive defense he was facing all game
aggressive defense =/ fouls
He really shouldāve tried jerking his head back and flailing a little harder. It seemed to work the last game the blazers had against them lol.
Was born in the wrong country.
im an israel hater, but tell me how many war crimes the US has committed over the years? lol
They’re the same team.
kawhi is from california….was he born in the wrong country?
What about the other 22 free throws?
Gotta support allies too.
I know exactly what you mean lol.
Brook got jobbed on a couple for sure.Ā
Congratulations Chicago
Was watching the score of this one like a hawk lol
Now kick the kingsā and sunsā asses š
Weāre kinda ass but we got some dogsĀ
Weāre not ass for long. With a serious coach this team is well constructed with real depthĀ
Agreed but we definitely arenāt always pretty to watch, at least offensively.Ā
If Vit and Deni could make a damn 3 since the trade deadline (and had Shae and JG been healthy), the offense would look a fair bit better.
The 8th seed runs through Portland.
Let that be a lesson to you.Ā
LFG Portland
