With the Lakers looking to win tonight, a win by SA means they’d play LA or Minnesota in the second round rather than Denver as long as LA beats Utah in their last game (which they should).

Yes since THJ and Brown are the only guys in the rotation and Strawther off an on. At the end there where guys that don’t even play in garbage time on the floor. Nnaji and Picket play rarely since where pretty healthy now. Val wasn’t for at least 10 games so I’m not sure.
We have a better benchās bench for sure. Iād put our 3rd stringers up against pretty much any other teamās. Only Bruce Brown and THJ have stayed in the rotation all season. We also just got a bench this season (shout out Cam trade and THJ and Bruce deciding they only wanted to play here and would do it on vet minimums).

Why is it that no matter if its an inconsequential or important game, Dort is always involved in injuring a player.
The guy elbowed David Roddy’s nose and did nothing else significant in a rest game. Even if it is an accident (which I think it was), the fact that it was Lu Dort once again is comically stupid.
David Roddy was so injured, he left the game for a whole 5 minutes. Never was the same player again after that career altering play.
Does Lu Dort have to actually cause a serious injury for him not to be a fucking goon?

All that playing time these guys got while the starters where injured really has made them into a good unit. 2nd and 3rd string guys all have played a lot this season.
Worked out great for the Nuggets. If they get the Lakers loss tonight too they can rest the starters (- 15 minutes of Jokic) Sunday too and wind up with 2 games of rest instead of 1.
Lowkey wouldn’t Denver want to drop to the 4 and have the Rockets jump them?
Then they would play the Lakers in the first round and get to play the Thunder before a grueling playoff series while the Thunder get to coast through two series.

I donāt think they would mind it which is why they were comfortable taking the risk resting today at all, but I still think they just wanted to rest their guys and figured OKC was playing nobody and wanted to lose anyway. If Denver really wanted to lose, they would have also rested Hardaway and Val at the very least.

Once it fixes the box score, Iād actually put it above the old format. We can rate the lineup, see the standings, see the plays, see the matchup stats, and itās just an aesthetically sleeker look. Itās also nice to not have to scroll as much since everything is just a couple button taps away.
My only complaint besides the box score bug is that we donāt see who didnāt play in the lineup.

(A) Wemby has missed two games against Denver this season. Jokic played both. Both went down to the wire and they split them 1-1. So the Wemby-less Spurs have shown the ability to beat the Jokic Nuggets.
(B) The Spurs should want to win, right? Like.. they only have to play one of OKC/DEN in that scenario. The value of resting one extra regular season game vs the value of making your playoff bracket significantly more favorable..
