[Highlight] Bronny James hits the 3-pointer to give him 10 points.
Both Bronny and his father finished with double figures tonight
“Sir, a 2nd LeBron is cooking the Warriors”
he is also the only player cheered in every city
I don’t really get his popularity tbh, sometimes there’s more people cheering for him than their own teams these days.
Dude, it’s a father & son duo playing in the NBA at rhe same time, in the same team. This is just wholesome. People can call it what they want, corny or whataver, say that Bronny is just a nepo baby, but in the end, he’s playing with his FATHER in an NBA team. What’s not to like about it?
(Most) people enjoy seeing other people doing wholesome things. That’s all.
Not to mention he almost fucking dies, seems like a good kid, works hard, and actually does seem to have some tools to become MAYBE a contributor off the bench for a good team.
It’s shocking that people are cheering for a young guy who almost died from a heart condition, who is now living his dream and playing with his dad in the NBA!
And it’s not like the Lakers are a popular team or anything. What a head scratcher.
Just teasing lol.
Also tend to think ppl believe he can belong, and he’s fighting for that chance in light of a lot of attention and pressure. Even if he’s here cause of his dad. Ppl are rooting for him now
except the fact that he was rigged into the team. hell, if it was allowed that way, why not just draft a damn kid into a tanking team. nobody gives a flying fuck about bronny’s career,
Guess we found someone that isnt cheering for bronny
he just scored 10pts in an NBA game against other NBA players.
no one is saying he’s a superstar, but he’s not even the worst player in the league.
He’s not even the worst player drafted to the team that year (yeah he’s passed up DK)
He’s the mascot of the Lakers lol, people cheer for the other mascots
The guy almost died of a heart problem, and now he’s playing in the NBA.
He is also the son of one of the most popular players, and people think it’s cool to see a father and son play together.
Plus, the Lakers are one of the most popular teams and have fans in many stadiums.
And Bronny is a bit of a meme (maybe some people cheer him just to cheer him; not all of it is serious).
And he seems like a fairly likable kid, which doesn’t hurt.
New to society?
Only nepo baby in the league maybe?
Giannis’ two brothers beg to differ
Portland had Keljin “Big Nepo” Blevins, Dame’s cousin, for a couple years.
Wrong.
is Steve Kerr’s son Nick Kerr really qualified enough to be an assistant coach in the NBA?
Especially with that name.
bronny gets a lot of flack but hes not as bad as people say he is.
He’s as productive as you could expect for a 55th pick
Better.
If you look at his draft class, he’s in like the top 25% tbh
heck, he is better than the 1st pick
The first pick got a DNP-CD last night 😭
On his birthday of all days too
Damn I didn’t realize it was his birthday
Be for real on why those stats are as high as they are…
Not sure what you mean
He has had a lot more opportunities than other players, no? I don’t think it’s arguable that nepotism has had an effect on the trajectory of his career.
Sure, and unlike the thing we hate about a lot of nepo babies, he hasnt squandered it.
Oh of course but if you acknowledge that, then you also need to reason with yourself that those stats about being in the top 25% most productive in his draft class are kind of inaccurate. Garbage time minutes and sample size are pretty important factors there.
Do you actually believe he is one of the 15 most productive players from his draft class?
people thought he should never touch an NBA floor…even if he’s in during garbage time it’s still against other NBA players where nepotism doesn’t matter if he didn’t produce
I mean, no. Not really.
He hardly ayed for much of the season. He was true end of the bench. Even when out 11-12th guys were getting minutes in rotation or garbage time, Bronny wasn’t.
If guys like Dalton or Adou were put in with 3 minutes left during a blowout, Bronny was out in at like 1:30 or 1:00 minute left.
He was getting DNP while guys like Drew Timme (two way) or nick smith Jr were getting rotation minutes.
He was “given” many opportunities at all. Not to mention guys higher in the draft are much more likely to be given opportunities to play as they are less likely to be on a contender.
On a team like the Lakers there is little opportunity for Bronny.
The only opportunity he was “given” was some incentive to draft him because of his dad.
But that is irrelevant because that’s not what you are talking about. You said “has had a lot more opportunities than other players” and no, JJ has done no such thing if you watch the games.
You are relying on agenda and narrative entirely.
I’ve watched almost every game this season.
He’s better, he was very good in G League.
He is better than vast majority of 55th picks, many don’t even see the nba
He has improved a ton.
[deleted]
That’s how you earn a position when you’re not an uber-talented freak of nature.
Isn’t he always kind of a plus in defence? Even if his shot isn’t hitting or he can’t score, doesn’t he always kind of bring that to the court?
yea ive always thought he was exceptional at jumping pass lanes
Tbf the minutes he’s been getting (until recently) has been during blow outs. He’s not seeing the court against the best
Hard to gauge where he’s really at. That being said, his shooting has improved.
To me, it’s not really that. I was more talking about his willingness to defend, always having active hands, and all that.
yeah you love his active hands dont you, you sassy little minx
He has played about a dozen games with around 20+ mins in which he has been a plus in defense. All 20 minutes of those games weren’t against “the best” but they weren’t all garbage time blow outs either. I specifically remember one game last year he started against the bucks, he got his career high, his +/- was horrible, and his defense looked exceptional for a full game against legit nba talent.
He was, he’s gotten better
Yeah he just needs to drive more confidently. He also had a good Shaqting moment lol
The Internet bots have an agenda
He’s facing the warriors with 1 starter and 8 total players. I’d like to see it against actual competition.
If you can play against NBA benchriders competently, you are an nba caliber player by definition.
Sorry, this is a thread where we are being delusional about the actual impact of Bronny. Extra points if you make a comment about how impactful he is in the G-League.
“He’s not as bad as people say” is not being delusional. People say he’s very very bad, we say he is 15th man material. Not rocket science.
I feel bad for you
go back to facebook, please.
Finish your GED, please.
Everybody has their own journey, man
Nah you’re right, good job bronny and friends
I mean realistically he’s not a good ballhandler, not a good shooter, and is mediocre defensively. I love having him on the Lakers but he’s really never going to be productive
You just described most 12th-15th bench dudes lol
I think he could become good at two of those things and just about decent in the other one with more reps, you can clearly see improvement in the low minutes he gets
Hes fine ballhandling and shooting—or at least he was in the g league, he just gets shook. If he can figure out his nerves, he might be in the league for a decade.
He still wouldnt be on the league if his dad werent lebron
well he is and he’s hanging with these guys so
If you say so, the moment lebron retires is the moment of truth.
I mean hes good enough to not embarrass himself most of the time. Hes about as good as i think your average D1 player would be if they were given as many opportunities as Bronny.
My point is, he obviously wouldn’t be here if he wasn’t LeBron’s son, but he’s going to have to work to stay in the league long term. And it seems like he’s been improving. It’s not his fault he is who he is, you know?
It was also minor nepotism at most, i’ve seen plenty worse cases in law firms and tech companies. Bronny mightve gotten drafted by himself if he’d finished college and not had the heart issues.
The average D1 (average, not top) player isn’t even sniffing the G league bro. They would do much worse than bronny with nba comp
But bron is on his team and bronny is doing what’s asked of him so
Sure he would. He was a high HS prospect who had a heart issue in his 1 college season. Some team would have taken a flyer with a late 2nd rounder based on his HS recruit profile alone.
These people would have been shocked by Daniel Orton being a first round pick after playing 8 mediocre minutes a game at Kentucky.
Bronny’s stature during the draft isn’t that dissimilar to plenty of fliers front offices take in the second round either.
He didnt start out league-ready, but either way he’s crossed the skill threshold for fringe nba player. Whether it be through nepotism or not, most picks end up hit or miss and bronny just barely didnt miss.

First father and son double figure in the same game
First father and son LeBron James
Big if true
Not if i have anything to say about it
We need a Holy Spirit Lebron James next to establish a new religion
Actually happened in the 4⁄2 okc ass whoop game
Basically a triple double for LeBron if you think about it

He’s overhated for sure. He’s not amazing but he’s solid.
He’s literally picked 55th overall never seen a player drafted that low be held to such higher standards
Because ppl make threads about him scoring 10 points
And those threads get made because people used to say he “robbed” someone of having the opportunity
He definitely did though. If he’s not LeBrons kid you think he’s anywhere near the court?
I know they’d be in the G league….kinda like bronny is now? He isn’t special right? So why are you upset about a 55th Pick?
I’m confused, teams take random flyers on 2nd round players all the time. Heck sometimes they do that even for 1st round picks.
There is so many different ways a player can find their way into getting drafted, it’s his hard work since that moment that earned him his minutes tonight.
I mean he doesn’t get drafted after his freshman year. But if he ups his game the way he did this year as a sophomore? 100% he gets drafted
people make threads about lebron james’ son scoring 10 points*
Can’t wait until he scores 11 against backups.
He scored 17 against the Bucks last season
“backups”
Also known as NBA players. If he’s good enough to put up points against those guys, guess he’s an NBA level player.
NBA player scores 10pts on other NBA players. why is this scrub even in the league!?
NBA player scores 10pts on other NBA players.
why is this scrub even in the league!?
Tbf the whole Lakers team is now LeBron and backups. Some things never change I guess
Brain dead take lmao he’s a backup to the backups. You talk like it’s a bad thing
And overachieving
There was hate for the first month. Every single post in the last year has been positive lol
Solid? Lmfao
That’s pretty dope honestly
I know it was garbage time, but why did Spencer double #18 behind the arc and leave Bronny wide open?
Spencer is an idiot and doesn’t realise that Bronny is lethal from distance.
Because it was garbage time, Einstein
I still don’t understand. Why would someone deliberately let an opponent score in garbage time? I’m a rec league scrub, and garbage time is my chance to shine. Unless it was a miscommunication on defense? It seems like he just guarded the wrong guy.
Game is over and nobody gives a fuck besides killing the clock. Garbage time plays like a rec game where they just run up and down without a lick of proper defense.
He saw his teammate come up to front Timme and motioned to initiate a switch, with the corner defender rotating toward Timme, but no one else followed.
He has a relative in the NBA?
Same with Steph and Kobe
It’s very known that Jaylen Brown is Devin Booker grandfather
I think so. Maybe a cousin or something
Lots of players do. This season alone has atleast 5 plus brothers playing
People named LeBron James and a double digit points streak, name a better duo
Hes only 21, he can def shape out to be a decent role player
He’s still got quite a bit to go especially with his handle and obviously the shot-making but he’s still done a lot more than people including myself thought he could do.
LeLineage
Put bronny on the 2018 cavs is he taking the dubs to 7?
Lol no. People need to get real. He sweeps them.
The double figures streak begins. Watch out SGA!
Why don’t they do the fusion dance to be one (LeOne?) to have the brains and bags of Bron to utilize Bronny’s body?
And just when the Warriors thought the LeBron fuckery was almost over
LeProud
That’s a walk.
I’m definitely tripping but I feel like Bronny’s jumper looks kind of strange for someone at that height. Like his arc is not great and it seems easily blockable..
Le sperm getting the double digits
Can’t wait for the first father-son double double-double statline.
I still cannot believe LeBro created a LeTeamMate
shuffle, shuffle, shuffle, shuffle, shoot!
Bron’s expression like, oh shit, it went in.
Took as many steps as his dad does as well lol
Please stop posting this crap. No other player would get highlights as simple as these. We’re adding to the nepotism
This is how media works. You see the title, you got baited and clicked
…and commented, and showed hate, and media now knows that any bronny post will get OP to engage. = money
I didn’t comment or upvote on the first 100 posts of “highlights”.
That’s why I’m directly talking to OP. If no one posts it, it doesn’t end up in our feeds
It’s just annoying. The only 2 suggestions from r/nba on my main feed have been 2 of these clips.
Guess it’s just what the kids are into nowadays based on the number of downvotes on my comment. Probably time to unsub and move on.
Yes, it is time. I’d much rather see this than more off the court BS or rumors. It’s the son of the most famous basketball player in the world who plays in the biggest market in the NBA. Of course people are going to be interested. Personally, I couldn’t care less about nepotism. I’m rooting for Bronny, so yeah, I’m going to like seeing his highlights.
Since the start of printed media… Magazine or television put women with big boobs, slim waist, pretty face to attract attention. Even if the woman is a nobody, it will attract eyeballs.
Media has always been like this, just in different form and shape.
