LA LeBron James is now 14-7 vs the Golden State Warriors
LeBron James is now 14-7 in the regular season vs the Golden State Warriors as a Laker. He averages 28 9 8 on 61 TS% against the Warriors since joining the team in 2018.
That 2022 Warriors ring really was an insane lightning in a bottle run when you look at it now
They’ve been aggressively mid in every single other post-KD season and it’s not like they particularly loaded up on stars in 2022 either somehow all their role players had career years at the same time
One of the most successful short term trades ever getting Wiggins.
…Kawhi?
“one of”
Yeah but… kawhi?? /s
Truly such a weird year, I can’t remember a champion in recent memory that seems more random than that team
Could’ve been the Pacers more recently
We were truly robbed of an amazing ending to that series
2021 finals is cursed
2004
Sorry to say 2004 is not recent anymore :(
Fud
Ehh kinda. That pistons team was really good for years before and after that championship, even made the finals again the next year.
The 2022 warriors were mid in the years before and after that championship. Really just a crazy random spike in their “goodness” for one playoff run
The 2011 Mavs are another example
The head coach they’re constantly shitting on getting two good months out of a bust put them over the top.
I’m a hater but gotta admit that one was impressive. Experience > young and talented sometimes
yeah Wiggins made a jump as a two way player, Poole had an insane career year, Looney had a career year, GP2 beat out Avery Bradley for a roster spot and also had a career year and was flat out one of the best and most impactful defender that year, OPJ resurgence and healthy year, Draymond was having heavy DPOY momentum though injuries derailed that for him, Steph had a regular season slump until the playoffs where he then returned to himself. Overall players peaked at the right time for a strong run.
Bro is still salty about the KD trade. Curry and them cats single-handedly ruined an undisputed GOAT legacy.
Trade?
Look man, I know it was a FA signing. The ops sentiment is still true.
I still remember that ruining my 4th of July morning. Lol and thats WITH knowing how trash the Lakers were
Understandable of course
Hard to call it singlehanded when it took the greatest team ever assembled in history to beat him
I don’t think LeBron and cavs repeat even without the Durant signing
Guy loves owning the Warriors even at 41
You can’t own a team that you’re 1-3 in the finals against
Def can’t. But I don’t think it makes sense to only count the finals when he’s played against the Warriors in a play-in and playoff series after he left Cleveland. He’s 2-3 against them in the playoffs and 1-0 against them in the play-in
If you asked LeBron I guarantee you he only cares about the finals matchups - Bron don’t care about no play-in lol
Idk, I think he’d care about hitting a game winner against GSW in the play-in and his whole “I saw three rims” bullshit lol. I think he’d care about beating them and advancing to the WCF in 2023.
People ain’t ready for taking Curry over Bron
*1-0 (15 doesn’t count because of Irving/Love being out and 17-18 doesn’t count because he took a g league roster to go against the all star team)
is this a shitpost LMAO
LeBron James is actually 10-0 in the Finals
2007: Still young
2011: Still getting used to Miami
2012: Won
2013: Won
2014: Spurs turned off AC
2015: Kyrie & KLove hurt
2016: Won
2017: Superteam Warriors
2018: Superteam Warriors
2020: Won
im convinced. time to move to la!
You got 4 rings in 10 years let me have this headcanon lol
dont worry i have cope headcanons too. just never can be too sure with how delusional some takes can be. warriors sub is full of insane delusional takes
And so did lebron
None of the Kobe championships count - he had Shaq and then later on beat an old worn out Celtics team
Then wouldn’t that make it 2-0? Bogut was injured and Green suspended for that one series if we are discounting results due to injuries.
From LeBronto to GoLeDen State
It’s more the lakers owning the warriors than lebron imo
You mad cuz Steph passed up Magic & Kobe hehehe
He’s certainly in the same tier but you can make arguments for them all
I understand the premise of what you’re saying, but reading the comment you replied to I would have expected you to say “cuz Bron passed up Magic and Kobe” here rather than Steph. Since the original comment is saying it’s a team effort rather than Bron.
Obviously Steph has cases over those guys as well. With Bron, it’s consenus though.
It’s funny how Magic is consensus top 5 and Steph is consensus not yet Steph passed Magic? Make it make sense. Magic has more mvp, more rings, more FMVPs, more 1st team all nba
Magic got drafted to a team with the arguable GOAT on it - Steph got it out the mud and later on won a chip with Andrew Wiggins as his #2. There’s levels to this
Steph did not get it out the mud with a generational defensive player in Draymond and arguably the 2nd greatest shooter ever behind himself in Klay all while coached by Steve Kerr, a championship winning player
we’ve been a play in team every year except 2 lol
LeBron vs. Warriors games are always classic
The funny thing about this LA Lebron vs Warriors thing is that both teams have almost never been good at the same time. In 18-19 obviously the Lakers weren’t in the same class roster wise. Then that script flipped for 19-20 and 20-21. Then it flipped again in 21-22. Then both teams were kinda mid in 22-23 before the Lakers saved their season at the deadline. Warriors missed the playoffs entirely in 2024. 2025 Warriors were extremely mid until Butler’s arrival.
Crazy fr
Ya, those who thinks LeBron will join Curry are just delusional or coping. Why ruin the 2-1 rivalry record?
Grandpa off
LABron James
Lebron is a father figure to the Warriors.
1-3
literally 3-3. why we lying?
Remember when the 2nd and 3rd best player of the era joined together to beat LeBron?
Still 1-1 in the Finals before that. And before you say, “woulda won 2015,” that goes both ways. We take 2016 at 100% as well. It’s 1-1 no matter what - with both teams at 100%, the only difference is the rings swap years.
Yes. He runs and hides from OKC but always got time to play against the tanking Warriors..
Why would he want to play against OKC when Luka, AR, and Smart are all injured.
Best thing to do in that situation at the end of the season is to rest and prepare for the road ahead and win games that can be won.
Why would a player want to play in an NBA game
Damn and this isn’t even counting when the warriors blew a 3-1 finals lead
Edit: warriors fans sending reddit cares 😂
Also 1-3 against them in the finals.
Which is why he hates the team
3-3 in the postseason though. Perfectly balanced.
Still don’t see how that’s owning them
Do we even count the KD warriors? What if KD joined the Cavs instead, what would you say?
LeBron would get executive of the year as a player
3-1
Not a Houston fan talking lol the Steph warriors have decimated like 4 different versions of the rockets
At least we’re honest about it
Warriors are garbage without KD that 22 ring still remains to be a fluke.
A championship is not a fluke
Can’t be calling it a fluke - they earned it. Also talking about the 4th of 4 rings so there was a reason they won it lmao. Steph and others showed up and out
When you win a title one year and all the other years before and after you have trouble making the playoffs it’s def a fluke. Great ring and all but that ring is the definition of a fluke.
You’re saying “all the other years before”. There were 3 rings before. Two had KD for sure and one had a lot of players who left. Klay was there, dray, Kerr, and Steph. Their core was the same bolstered by other players who made up the other parts of the core. Sure many of the other players were new but to that core winning was a regular thing. I just can’t consider a 4th of 4 rings to be considered a fluke if the core was all the same and the best player (Steph) stayed the same
2021 they couldn’t get into the playoffs
2023 (year after winning a ring) they were one game away from the play ins
2024 (missed the playoffs again)
2025 were in the play ins again
2026 they are 100% missing the playoffs again.
They have been play in merchants ever since that ring and imo that’s considered a fluke ring (more of a fluke than that 2020 laker ring and 2021 bucks ring)
These lay outside of your date range
2015 won
2016 lost in finals
2017 won
Using your same date range for the future:
2018 won
2019 lost in finals
2020 missed playoffs
Again, same core. Why are the trips to the finals in the past not noteworthy to you but the losses after the finals win are?
An amazingly beautiful fluke of a season that I won’t ever forget 💛💙
Licoi still using that Warriors flair to this day lmao
I still don’t get how the Celtics lost to such a garbage team
I guess they should’ve guarded curry
Steph
The warriors were far from garbage. They literally had the #1 payroll in the league. Also they were literally the matchup favorites heading into the finals. The 3rd favorites in the preseason, #1 ranked defense, highest scoring 4th option out of any championship winning team ever.
I don’t know either tbh lol
