LeBron James checks out up 25 against the Warriors: 26 PTS | 7 REB | 11 AST | 2 STL | 4 TOV | 11-17 FG | 3-5 3P | 1-2 FT
He continues to prove he can still be the first option if need be.

LeBron getting the Lakers to the second round would lowkey be pretty fun ngl
41 year old LeBron carrying Ayton, Hachimura and Luke Kennard past the Rockets would make him the goat
Kennard has stepped up very impressively. If he can help Lebron keep it to 2-1 after 3 games, Luka might come back and restore order.
Luka rushing back from a hammy is the type of thing that can permanently sink your career for example Harden has never been the same level of scorer since the 2021 playoffs
Unless you think that this year is somehow the best team they’ll ever have around him which it absolutely isn’t there’s zero reason for him to play until he’s absolutely healthy
So Kennard will get us to the second round😤
I mean Harden is just old.
He is now. He wasn’t in 2022 and he’s never got his burst back.
Still an All Star tier player cause he’s James Harden but in 2021 he was getting MVP buzz still lmao.
His burst was visibly declining even before the injury. People blamed it on weight gain but he looked slow even after he lost weight.
I mean that was simply not true as indicated with his shooting 2p%. His nets stint before he hurt his hammy he was shooting 55% from 2p%, inline with his prime since 2016-2017 (he was consistently above 53%, and averaged around 55%, 2021 was actually his highest). He never shot above 50% since then, no matter the make up of the team, with career lows (excluding rookie season) the two years after at 47% as he had no legs. That is a ridiculously large drop off considering he has also been less prone and deferential to driving unless he sees an opening. (more selective yet less effective)
If you weigh for league wide shooting his field goals added became negative ever since he hurt his hammy, where it never was the case (barring rookie season). Even his true shooting compared to league average went from elite to slightly above average.
Watch the games. He looked slow on the Nets even after he lost weight pre-hammy. The first step was significantly slower than it was 2-3 years earlier.
Potentially.
He took a step back on scoring on the Nets cause he had KD and whenever Kyrie played but he was pretty comfortably the best player on that team till he hurt his hamstring.
he was 33 in 2022, he still had some prime years left in him
Kennard is the type of player that thrives next to LeBron. It’s different now coz he’s 41 but historically it’s worked really well.
Luke Kennard = Lefty Korver
He was pulling luka like shots and assists in this game. Not sure how sustainable it is but I am extremely impressed with him.
[deleted]
Why ? He was traded for Cardi G
its pretty ridiculous how much he contributes to winning. MJ 3 years younger wasn’t contributing this much to the wiz, just putting up points.
He’s already the GOAT watchu talkin bout
pretty ridiculous how that would be what puts him over the top for people that still don’t consider him the goat
I like how THIS is what carries him over the threshold
haha don’t get me wrong for many, including myself, he’s already the GOAT. This would be the cherry on top.
How isn’t he already? Go look at those horrible Cleveland rosters the years before he left. Both times they made the finals, then just without him, become the worst team in the nba just by him leaving. I know he was younger, but no one else would have ever been able to do that.
That 2019 team was fucking horrible and he carried them all the way. Best playoff run by a single player ever. And that was in his mid 30s
Jordan’s team made it to the second round without him. LeBrons team went from finals to worst team in the NBA without him
Well I certainly believe he is. But you can’t blame someone for believing it’s Jordan.
Yeah I’m an MJ person but if LeBron does this it would probably sway me lol.
Just enough time for those two to get back. Then they get eliminated. What a perfect anime ending
Death and taxes and LeBron dominating the warriors
He absolutely plays harder against them because he still holds a grudge lmao you basically never see him have a “lazy” game in this matchup ever even on some random Tuesday in December
Lakers don’t even necessarily gain anything from getting the 3 seed and he was out there playing at playoff intensity up 20 against the Warriors’ backups
Understandable honestly. If the best team in the league formed up like Voltron with KD to make sure they could beat me, I’d also hold a grudge
He respects Steph but you can tell he despises that organization, stadium, and fanbase lmao thats why I laugh when rumors of him joining them pop up
Draymond and Steph were at his wedding. I don’t think it’s that deep.
Thats what i meant, he fw dray and steph but not the team. Klay is the only one who seems to not fw bron on or off the court lol
I guess he still takes the “some people get their feelings hurt” personally to this day.
Wasnt Klay in Space Jam 2?
what does that have to do with him not liking the warriors
What do two drafted career Warriors have to do with the Warriors? Gosh. let be pray on that.
They were all throwing up 4s in the pictures knowing most of those fingers were the Warriors sonning Lebron.
It’s totally a frenemies thing. They banter with each other all the time.
You absolutely could tell LeBron enjoyed beating the Warriors as soon as they lost KD.
He can’t be mad.
He created a literal Super Team in Miami and proclaimed he was going to win like 8 championships lol.
Lucky he got 2 there.
I feel like we really skip over the fact that it was in response to the Celtics making a super team first
Just saying “forming up like Voltton” isn’t something Bron can hate on. He’s ring chaser #1.
At least Dray, Klay, and Curry were drafted by the Warriors.
That’s what allowed them to add another star in the first place.
Oh come on, KD going to the Warriors was so unfair that they changed the salary cap rules so it wouldn’t happen again. They probably could have beaten the Cavs without him, it took a historic rally for the Cavs to win in the first place, there’s no guarantee that happens again. The Warriors were still for sure the better team, they just got beat so embarrassingly that they wanted to make it a guaranteed win the next time
Unfair?
Like Jordan/Pippin? Magic/Kareem? Shaq/Kobe? Lebron/Bosh/D.Wade/Malone/Payton?
They already beat the Cavs without KD. But every time you bring that up the narrative changes from Curry couldn’t beat Lebron to Curry couldn’t beat Lebron/Love/Irving.
Losing to a historic rally is isn’t that embarrassing. It is what it is. Lebron got to feel like Dirk Nowitzki for a day. We got 3 more chips to follow so I’m more than ok with that.
You act like they weren’t already a superteam of Curry/Klay/Draymond/Iguodala, they were just homegrown so people don’t think of it that way, same with the ‘96 Bulls. They had the most wins in the regular season of all time and then added KD to that, it’s genuinely not comparable to any other situation and you know it.
How is it not comparable? Just because r/nba is trying to push a narrative?
Showtime Lakers, Shaq/Kobe Lakers, and Jordan/Pippen Bulls still made the league “unfair.”
The Warriors had a opportunity to finally “add” another non-home grown star. What team wouldn’t add prime KD with the chance to?
Again, Bron is the last person that should cry about super teams. The double standards are ridiculous.
don’t even really gain anything from getting the 3 seed
don’t they? I feel like the Wolves without Ant are a worse team than the Rockets.
But it doesn’t matter anyway, they’re not catching Denver.
Ant is playing in the first round apparently.
Fully Healthy Rockets or Wolves with a minutes restricted Ant off an injury???
Crazy but I’d rather have the Rockets cause of how bad they are
Wolves a better matchup than rockets
3 seed would be huge. Wolves are injured while Rockets are healthy (at least the players who survives to the end of the season) and surging.
Then in the next round, playing the Spurs with Luka and AR returning instead of OKC is a dream.
Lebron dominate warriors more than Lebron dominate Raptors, Knicks, or any other NBA franchise. His statline against that team is absurd.
They gave Igoudala FMVP for defending him, dont check his stats then, still, Iggy got the FMVP.
Nah Raptors is in a tier of there own icl😂😂
Still find it unbelievably funny that the raptors win their first championship right after Lebronto left the eastern conference lol.
The circumstances and a stacked roster in retrospect does not erase the irony. Dude won the ECF 8 years in a row.
Its the entire East, then the golden state warriors
Actually yeah im tripiin.
That dude terrorize the east for decades, not dominating.
he was violently raping them legally
iggy 1V1 held him to 39% fg that series
27-20 against them in regular season (15-12 since 2015)
11-17 against them in playoffs
2-3 against them in playoff series, 1-3 in finals
you can probably argue that steph dominates lebron more than lebron dominates warriors
Steph has been Inferior to LeBron on those matchups and had the benefit of the fact getoffmydickerson was on the warriors
Steph was generally the 3rd best player in those Warriors/Cavs matchups
It was widely considered LeBron then KD/Steph with if anything KD having the slight edge over Steph 2022 elevated Steph into convos that he wasn’t in at his actual peak
In “those Warriors/Cavs matchups”
Hope you are talking about 2017 and 2018 if you’re making that argument.
We all know Iggy was not actually a better player in 2015, and in 2016, I do think Dray gets the FMVP, but Steph was not at 100% and was still better many of the games, obviously peak Dray was an absolute beast though.
There is no way this mf just did the head-to-head QB wins thing to make a basketball point lmfao
don’t see a lot of dominating here
No you can’t argue that unless you’re blind or don’t watch games.
and his finals record
1-3
Doing this with your son in the game is nuts
Literally
Fully formed nut of his. Yes.
It really is. Ugh
Goat
Had him taking 10 shots a game for a month because the team was winning just for the other 2 to both get injured in the process lol
He was playing golf and having fun being a 3rd Option. Now he’s back in hell.
Some of the longest gevity seen in basketball
not really “some”
If not some then what?
All
Longest gevity is hilarious 😂
Can you have short gevity?
Yes, short to average to long.
Many factors affect gevity, including injuries, skill and other factors .
Mid gevity is the worst
Yeah, there’s always a story with mid gevity
Some of the worst English teaching ever,
What are you going to say after your comma?
“Some” lol dude…
Do you know who else had long gevity?
Dude he has the NBA record for most games played. Wtf are you even trying to write? I think you just don’t know how to communicate very well in writing. And that’s not your fault. Your English teacher needed to be fired.
Aren’t you a dork? Ha
If being able to write a complete sentence and not sound like a high school dropout makes me a dork, then guilty as charged. I’m not really sure that your flex is as strong as you think it is. My post have some of the “longest gevity” on Reddit lol
What’s wrong with saying how long a mans basketball gevity is?
Perhaps you’re overthinking things, my friend.
Besides the fact that gevity isn’t a word? lol. Going to bed smart guy. Good luck in life.
You’re trying to vent because you’re cranky, ok.
Good luck with napping in your race car bed , haha.
Turns out he can put up 27-7-7 ad aeternum
41 years old bron BTA the warriors what is life
santa cruz warriors
Our South Bay point guard outplayed Draymond.
not the own you think it is in 2026
We acting like Dray is a scrub now?
no but he has a ton of off games
he was playing great last game with steph tho which is always his strongest quality
It was a joke calm down
south bay lakers lol
Not only does he now have 5k more points than Kareem, but he now is just two assists away from reaching 12,000.
Just 6 more seasons to pass John Stockton
The fact that I can see LeBron realistically be at least a starter level player for 6 more years is crazy.
Yeah, dude is just a genetic freak and we’re lucky that we’re still witnessing him play.
you can see he really likes playing with Kennard. Ohio connection!
LeWhite Father
He just like shooters that are trustworthy.
High IQ and a shooter
Bron and his cold white boy shooters
Bro wtf happened to Cryer? He was in extreme pain and then everyone pretended like nothing happened. Feels like I’m going insane
Someone probably told him to stop Crying.
Anyway, hope he’s fine.
I think he got escorted out on a wheelchair
Shit hurts sometimes. Adrenaline helps. It’ll probably be sore for a few weeks.
who?
Did you watch the game?
i’m just playing with you lol
I saw the injury but tbh I don’t think it’s surprising they didn’t say much after it (my stream is on the Lakers broadcast). It’s not like Cryer is a star or even a well-known player
You’re good, it looked pretty severe. Just hope he’s ok. Wild that there wasn’t even a replay
Idk, we’re just very cooked at this point either way.
Enjoy the goat while he’s here. I’m not ready to accept he might play in a different jersey next year :(
Still owning the warriors at 41 fair enough
santa cruz edition
He has owned them ever since joining the lakers (even when Steph plays)
Steph is 7-7 against Bron since 2021.
Average Licoi comment lol. He TURNS UP when he plays us.
Doesn’t mean they always win lmao.
You changed it from “since he joined the Lakers” which was in 2018 to 2021 and from “against the warriors” to Steph.
Since 2018 he is 14-7 against the Warriors.
He’s 8-7 against Steph since 2018. I wasn’t the one who changed “against the Warriors” to “against Steph”, that would be Licoi, who I was replying to.
That’s fair, my bad I didn’t see the qualifier.
Shai and the Thunder “ducking” Jokic may cost the lakers the 3 seed smh! 😂
Pretty sure they’re playing for the 4th seed at this point
Yeah would rather play the red hot Rockets, I hate playing the Wolves
Might have a chance if Jokic doesn’t play
Jokic can’t miss anymore games for the threshold, he’ll play
Man intentionally fouled and walked off like “y’all shouldn’t be able to blow a lead this big, I need to ice my damn knees”
I actually stood up in front of my laptop and started clapping - it was a vintage LeBron performance tonight.
It was so much fun to watch, and it gave ya’ll, young folks, a small glimpse on how truly great prime LeBron James was.
It’s wild to think that there are adults out there where, for their entire life Lebron has been a dominant part of the NBA. Not just that he’s playing but still leading teams to dubs
Join us bron, we can still give you 30m AAV for next 2 years
Cmon Lebron put your mavericks jersey on, and come down to Dallas
Elite reference
LeMentor for Flagg
LeFather figure to kyrie
He could have easily hit the 27/7/7 mark this season if he wasn’t taking a back seat lol
But Lakers fans would have been mad.
Doing this at 41 he’s built different
Jarret Allen for LeBron is my manifestation
3 rebonds from a good game
Mood
Bron gonna carry us to the 2nd round, then Luka and Reaves back, we coming for that chip
/s
This might appear like a normal LeBron statline, but it was clear he was competing in a way you don’t get every day.
He’s still there best player
Fuck it, 41 year old LeBron leading us to the 2nd round
Yeah, after ducking smoke yesterday vs Shai & the Thunder 😂
He’s been dominating literally longer than most of this Thunder can personally remember
Insane when you put it like that
Raptors fan still got PTSD from LeBronto
They were gonna lose regardless
