[Highlight] Bronny James steals the ball and finds his father for the fastbreak layup
Im gonna choose to appreciate this because it’ll likely never happen again in my lifetime
Like this is cool asf. Ken Griffey and his dad was one thing, this is really remarkable.
Their back to back home runs are legendary.
We need LeBron and Bronny to have back to back oops or something.
Throw up B2B lobs to eachother that would be sick
Bronny & Bron remaking the Wade to Bron assist … he can retire right there on the spot, that’s all i need to see
Goat nba / wwe mixup
Bronny throws the lob to Bron.
Broken up by Bron Breaker!
Back to back father-son threes in a competitive game would probably be sports moment of the year.
Back to back father-son kamehameha alley-oops would probably be sports moment of the decade.
I was at that game with my dad. No kidding. Greatest memory ever
Griffey Jr. takes catch away from his dad
These father son videos make me extremely happy
Hug your fathers , kids - family matters , even if they can be unempathics and not understanding of the modern world many times
the fact he did that to end the top of the 9th of all innings lmao
Ya but Jr earned his spot and was one of the greatest of all time. This is just straight nepo baby shit and not that cool. Downvote away laker fans, I know it’s been a rough week for yall.
Why you so upset, you should calm down bro.
He really should
not even worth trash him, look his team….
Certainly not upset, buddy. People can share their opinions about bronny n his dad. I cannot have the same sentiment, doesn’t mean I’m upset. What made you think I am upset? Was it the super harsh words of, “not that cool”? Or maybe, “earned his spot”?
You sound upset lmao
Who lost a spot because of him? What person would be making waves if he wasn’t rostered?
Making waves? Never said that. He took a spot from someone that would have been drafted, that didn’t get drafted because LeBron had a kid in the draft. It’s not that hard to understand.
You honestly think the lakers (or anyone) would have drafted bronny with 5/3/2 college stats if LeBron never existed? Honest question.
Is he worse than other 55th overall picks?
I didn’t realize you needed a superstar stat line to get drafted lmao, it’s the damn 2nd round people with similar stat lines to that get drafted all the time. You’re also crying that someone didn’t get drafted cause of him, but do you have that same energy towards the suns and 76ers who lost their picks where 2 more players could’ve been drafted instead?
Also…who? Who should have been drafted instead? If he’s so up in arms over the pick, he must know of a player that deserved the spot over Bronny.
Yeah, I wanna know which player he’s talking about, too. Who deserved the spot over bronny? 😂, you’re so mad over something that nobody else has even batted an eye over. So, yes, like others have said, “YOU SOUND MAD.” 🍼
Short answer: no.
Long answer: impossible to know, because if LeBron doesn’t exist, he can’t have fathered Bronny, rendering the question a moot point (in US usage, the Brits tend to mean a point of contention when they say moot point. Don’t get me started on what tabling a motion means…)
I’m not even a lakers fan, but still downvoted you, because something like this only happens once in a blue moon. On top of that, whether people like to admit it or not, (he’s not my favorite player), but LeBron is the greatest NBA player of all time, and I don’t think we’ll ever see anyone break his points record, or the countless other records he’s broken. So what he wanted to play ball with his oldest, before he retired. It’s old news, stop crying.
The only reason it’s not more impactful is because we’ve been memeing about it for a solid decade now. It’s probably of the coolest sports feats of our lifetime.
But for the first 5 or 6 years the memes were just joking what-ifs, like no freaking way anyone back then thought Lebron would play long enough for his son to make the NBA, even if Bronny turned out to be good enough.
It actually happened and a considerable portion of fans complained about nepotism instead of seeing it for what it is: both an insane athletic feat and an incredibly wholesome accomplishment.
The only thing I can think of that can compete with it is that dude who climbed El Capitan with nothing but chalk.
Alex Honnold. I’d put Ohtani up there since nobody can do what he does and he’s doing it every week.
Everyone knows it’s one of the coolest things in sports. It’s only not as “cool” because Bronny wasn’t that good.
Bronny is a 21 year old so I’m confused why you are talking in the past tense
The world wouldn’t have been prepared if Bronny was indeed a basketball prodigy who happened also be like 6’10. Another universe perhaps.
Imagine Bronny competing with Coop for Roty with similar build
That would have been dope. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. It’s not quite on the level of Giannis’ brothers, but clearly bronny is only in the league cuz of his dad. He’ll be out of the league once LeBron is gone, unless bron gets an ownership stake somewhere or still has sway.
Before people say, “bronny is legit!”. That’s clearly not the case. He’s a 6’1 guard that would never have been drafted or even considered to be drafted if not for his dad.
I don’t understand why other teams didn’t draft him If not just for marketing hype tbh a he was worth the hype sign
Just saying it’s “clearly not the case” is not an argument for why it’s so clear.
Julian Reese isn’t that good either. He’s still in the league.
Whattttt??? Julian Reese has been playing ball the last couple of weeks!!?? I mean, I guess I can agree with what you said, strictly because he doesn’t have a strong supporting cast around him, but imagine him being on a squad with some help!? Idk, ball has been my life, since I was knee high, so I analyze players, I watch their every move, and all that. IMO, he’s been playing some good ball lately, considering the team that he’s playing for.

It’s pretty cool
All the dads who play ball with their sons in the driveway, and Lebron and Bronny are doing it in the NBA.
This prob hits better for Bron than the bubble ring tbh, great to witness
That’s so true. Whether you like him or not it’s special
Even more impressive is we could get a Bronny the 3rd if Bronny can just play for like 20 years lol.
Objectively very cool to see a father and son ball out.
Catching a pass from your son in a NBA game is still so crazy to me lol
And then dunking it
What layup, OP??
With ease.
Lebron took the 2k series ‘Create Your Own Player’ engine to a whole nother level
I heard in his version of 2K5, they didn’t censor the generation process, but the wait for the character to process was ridiculous.
Bronny listening to Lebron on the defense got him that steal. Listen to your dad kids, they know best
Kinda weird they didn’t credit Bronny with an assist here. Bron took a single dribble and got a dunk lol
If Jokic’s “pass to a teammate who dribbles 6 times does a double crossover and shoots” are an assist this def should be
What the fuck lol, what are you so upset about
He still upset about Roy Hibbert
Awww little cry baby biatch
Rent free in your head
System error when they input “LeBron James Assist to LeBron James”
He threw it off the backboard? Foul! No wait… two fouls!!
What is this Ghost ball?!
Is this one of those MeBounds I keep hearing about
This is almost definitely an assist. Passing to the open man for an uncontested shot is not even debatable.
That’s a dunk
meanwhile jokic gets 2 assists if he does this
That wasn’t an assist? I don’t know how they count them then. Is it total distance traveled before scoring? 😂
lol, I think that is what happened actually - maybe you can argue shouldn’t be at that distance but LeBron is so smart the way he played it out Bronny pretty much has to get an assist on that.
Are you fr?
They didn’t, but I see Bronny has an assist now 3 minutes into the second, so they must have amended it
i thought this was an assist too. unless it doesnt count if they take any dribble.
Jokic would have 9 apg if thats case
Somehow Jokic got an assist for this /s
Single dribble three steps and dunk. I guess the third was a gather? I thought it was a walk.
How? He even exaggerates when he picks up the ball and then he took 2 steps. Yall old heads are out of ya minds
If we pretend travel calls are based on distance instead of steps: 1 dribble from half court is too few so it’s a travel
it’s not exaggerating it’s being savvy to get an extra step before the dribble lol. he didn’t travel on the layup though. first part i wouldn’t be mad if called a travel, but lebron knows what he’s doin so it’s hard to say it is. man knows the sport
What are you talking about? He didn’t pick up the ball before he dribbled? You can see him clap the ball when he picks it up. He did that to establish he has control of the ball then takes two steps there no extra step this is literally a textbook drive to the basket
i didn’t call that a travel lol. i called it savvy weirdo lol
The gather is however many steps Lebron says it is
I lowkey thought on first look that Bron took off a little early but I guess I still don’t understand his demigod physique
He took off from the dotted line at an angle. Honestly think most guys in their prime couldn’t do that this easily
Luka couldnt do that lmaoo
Always wondered how far LeBron was able to take off from and dunk in his prime. Only reason I’m disappointed he never did the dunk contest. I think he would’ve had FT line pretty easily
There’s a video floating around of early Cavs Bron basically jumping from the FT line and dunking it in-game.
In game just a few inches in front of the free throw line and he landed way way past the hoop too. I’m positive prime Lebron could’ve dunked from a foot behind the ft line at least.
GOAT athlete and prefers a one foot jump, no way he couldn’t yam from the free throw line in his prime.
Like son like father
Created someone to pass him the ball.
22 years ago Bron got home from a game and said “man why tf is my teammate not passing to me enough” and had a genius idea
Those early Cavs teams really got to Bron huh?
He had to future proof his buckets. That’s why he’s the GOAT. No one doing it like him
Dang he was 22 when he had him? Could’ve put one in the wifey way earlier than that and had him for his championship run too
Bronny born October 04 so I think 20? Which is crazy.
Honestly, after playing with Ricky Davis and Darius Miles, creating a person to pass him the ball might have been an under-reaction.
Beta bachelor KD could never go to the lengths Alpha Dad Lebron went to in order to win, confirmed
LeSperm with the assist. but seriously, how the fuck can Lebron still jump like that? that looked like a 2k animation wtf
Lebron is leagues above almost every nba players even at his age, that’s why.
Doing what he was created to do
Lebron only took 1 dribble, they could have Bronny that assist…..but let it be Jokic….yep I’m ragebaiting
Can’t compare Jokic to a G-leaguer…
Yeah yeah yeah bronny’s a g-leaguer whatever bro, i watch nba to be entertained, watching a father-son duo in the nba is entertaining
Nice bounce pass. I’m pretty sure the other game, LeBron told him to do that instead of a chest pass.
That was on an entry pass, since a bounce pass is slower but is protected by the body of someone posting up, so a defender on their hip can’t reach as easy.
Whereas in the NBA (nearly exclusive to the NBA in fact), wings are often long enough to get a finger on a chest pass to a high poster’s catching space.
just want to compliment how good of a comment this was, thanks for upping the discussion level
That wasn’t a layup…
What amazes me is the fact LeBron received a pass at half court, dribbled once, then dunked it.
Giannis can practically dribble once before the front court and still dunk.
I want him to dramatically yell “Daaadddy!!!” to get LBJ’s attention one day, as he lobs a long shot pass at him.
They need to do this to end the LeDocumentary. It’s incredibly cheesy, but it’s perfect
If he actually yelled “dad”, I’d think it’s low key cool af. Maybe not daddy lmao
If we ever get an audio of him yelling “Dad” before an epic pass / dunk it would be historic
Best Nepo hire in the league
Does Ian Eagle count?
BOUNCE PASS BRONNY
Good thing he didn’t chest pass it
Good dad Lebron dunked that instead of passing ahead so that Bronny could get the dime.
He didn’t get it doe…
There was a 0% chance Lebron was passing that shit. There could have been prime Hakeem, Bill Russel, and Wemby guarding that rim and he still would have gone for the dunk.
harlan lmfao
the father the son and the holy bucket
LeBron also has a rule where Bronny is only allowed to call him ‘Father’ even on the court
especially on the court.
From the title, I assumed watching the video he took off too early and had to lay it up. NOPE. Super fucking casual about it too
FINALLY
That ain’t a layup…..
i kinda wish my father would play pick up ball with me just one more time. he’s 79 and both legs mobility is fairly limited.
Does he yell dad??
Dude caught an assist from his own cum. Awesome.
Love to see it.
BOUNCE PASS
First the first father to son assist now the first son to father assist in the nba. Idk how you can hate on LeBron.
just like people who hate on the tri county area’s only married news team
I have no clue what your talking about.
He’s a decent defender. He really needs that 3 pointer to make him a viable rotation piece on any team. I hope he finds it.
I was at the game tonight and genuinely bronnys defense will be one of the few things that keeps him on an nba roster. If he can get rid of the nic nac mistakes while handling the ball he will be solid
I know this was a meaningless game and the Warriors roster tonight was a joke but Bronny actually played some “meaningful” minutes. Happy to see it. Looked like an NBA player.
Weirdest layup I’ve ever seen
lebron james is bronny james’ father
That was for sure a 3 second violation.
When your dad is faster than you xD
My GOAT
One dribble to go half the entire court….
Check out Bron pointing at the exact spot the ball was going to come to. Looks like bronny didn’t jump into the lane but played passive, the fumble led to the steal but Bron knew exactly where it was going to go
I don’t really keep up with Bronny. Is he at the level of a legit NBA role player? Or is his career pretty much done once his dad retires?
He’s not embarassing or anything. He might have a career as a journeyman bench player.
I love this
He remembered to bounce pass this time 😂
He did the bounce pass this time too!
Oz z. L
If Cayden Boozer had thrown that exact pass that Bronny made in the semis, Duke make the National Championship game.
Wish I found my father on a fast break…
Just like me and my dad /s
Did a bounce pass this time after getting scolded last time
This is what a lay up looks like now huh?
It’s WILD to me how easy it still is for Lebron to dunk. There probably are like a dozen people in the history of the world who can do that as easily as he did at his age. I’m about the same age as Lebron. When I was 20, I could dunk. Currently, I likely couldn’t touch the rim, and if I did, I would make it look incredibly difficult.
This is crazy but title should be “Bronny James commits 3 second violation and gives the warriors 1 free throw”
Exactly. He was in there for at least 4 seconds. Guess the rule doesnt exist anymore.
the craziest part about this clip is bron telling bronny exactly where to dart to intercept the pindown roll
He remembered to send pops the bounce pass this time
Is this how low the NBA is going?
Vando backing right off to make sure he doesn’t get in the way, accidentally gets a pass, etc (LBJ is not passing that)
Every single Bronny LeBron play is going to get posted here the next few days and I’m not mad about it
Leunlimited physique
Boruto and his dad
Love this for Bron and I could be wrong, but wasn’t that a travel? Didn’t he take three steps at the end?
Cool moment but he was in the key for an eternity
Man, just being in a game with your son is crazy, but being in a game with him, while catching dimes, is just so wholesome. Every dad in the league probably wishes they could be doing what bron and bronny are doing. Something about it, is just really special. Regardless of what folks say, it’s a great moment for the league.
Bronny also broke his own ankles leading to a turnover and dunk
Bronny never doing a chest pass to dad again
Cut down Vando minutes and give them to Bronny
Beautiful
This Lefuckery can’t last much longer?
Wow it’s really crazy when you realize your watching history live ‘son to father’ being sports commentary is amazing yall should really be ashamed of yall selves for hating on someone making the nba idc about nepotism he had enough raw athletic ability to keep up not like he doesn’t Atleast have the physical attributes to be in the nba plus lets be real who in this world is not gonna use their position in life to make their kids succeed if you say you won’t your lying and never been in the situation to do so so it’s easy to say you won’t
Is that what we call a layup these days?
I don’t care for LeBron. But this shit IS special. I’m glad they’ve earned these moments.
Its called a dunk. Not a layup, a fucking dunk!
At least one of em found their father /s
How TF does this have mor eupvotes than BOTH of Josh Hart’s daggers vs the #2 seed Celtics
Because regardless of what your opinion is this shit is crazy and will probably never happen again for a long time.
Why is this here? Nothing special here. Can we please stop making anything involving these two look special?
How many other Father-Son duos have played on the same team in the NBA? You just want to hate, it’s sad
What a weird comment lol
You don’t have to like it or think it’s cool or whatever. But saying it’s not special is a brain dead take.
