[Highlight] Nikola Jokic with a clutch lefty layup to beat the shot clock in overtime to put the Nuggets up 7, with a little over a minute remaining (with replays).
He actually really did the Jokic after 23.9 seconds of perfect defense meme
I mean he was wide open for that 3 so not exactly perfect defense but good meme anyway.
I thought the Nuggets were cooked after they lost to the Grizzlies on the road to drop to 42-28.
Likewise. Though that was a B2B and the team has had the most B2B’s out of any team this season. They seem to have been worn down by those.
They were saying on the broadcast for that game I remember that the flight was delayed and everything so they didn’t get in until 5 or 6 am. Still a bad loss but makes some sense we play down to competition a lot both this year and in previous ones.
Every single high seeded team’s fans say this “we play down to our competition” line. It’s almost as if even the bad teams are nba teams and anything can happen in a given game.
Nah the Spurs and OKC don’t play down to their competition… they blow out anybody who isn’t on their level, and sometimes teams who are on their level too. Denver have losses this year vs the Bulls, the Mavs, the Nets, Memphis… they have a lot of bad losses even when they have been healthy.
Spurs have lost to the Blazers, Jazz and the Grizzlies. Thunder have lost to the Bucks, Pacers and Blazers. No team is immune from losing to teams they should beat
The Blazers aren’t a bad team. The others sure, though OKC didn’t have Shai vs the Bucks
Sure but… Denver do it more than others
Nobody saying they don’t lol
True every team has some bad loses, still remember the 73 win warriors losing big to the lakers. But with how bad/lazy our defense tends to be we have a lot of frustrating games, like our last few against the jazz can’t all be okc winning by 30 60% of the time.
We still have some glaring issues that need addressed
But we’ve come a long way
That was genuinely rock bottom. It’s like after that loss we couldn’t bear it ever happening again as a team and resolved to play to win every time. Been some ugly games since but I’m proud to say we’ve only ever lost clutch games against contenders since and otherwise come out ahead against all manner of opposition. Flipped a switch!
Edit: I got my days switched up. We actually have not lost at all since the Grizzlies game.
We actually have not lost since that Memphis game
Oh shit you’re totally right. For some reason I thought the Thunder and Lakers games were after that. My bad. Then yeah, even more so lol, flipped the switch.
They have gone 12-2 since the Thunder loss, losing only to LAL and Memphis.
Me too dawg, me too. I’m glad we finally had a winning streak this season.
Man we really missed out on a historic postseason with Lakers losing 2 of their 3 best guys, with Houston not having a PG and Adams, with Minnesota maybe a little injured right now. Genuinely would have 6 great teams in the West alone, because the top 3 right now are all on crazy runs, Lakers were on one as well, Rockets are also doing great won the last 6, 8-2 and maybe Minnesota could do without the injuries
As a wolves fan, apart from them, Nuggets are the best team to watch this season. They get into so many clutch games and they got this mf.
No matter who we’re playing, this team is always must see TV…😭
The nuggets are arguably the most consistent team the league has ever seen in their ability to make it a nail biter against top teams, trash teams and middle of the pack teams.
0.1s on the clock when it left his hands. Unreal
Game winning shot clock buzzer beater
Bro how did he time his drive *that* well?????
Because Timelord’s closeout was hot garbage.
