Biggest factor in this is usage. Luka plays helio ball, ofc incl all those years in Dallas. Steph duels with Houston, they also had KD and Klay to eat up some of the usage.

Second big factor is era (spacing and pace). Those Harden Rockets vs. dynasty Warriors were at the earlier side of the revolution. There’s gonna be some younger guys who played their whole careers in the pace and space era (AND with high usage - say like Ant or something), leading to more possesions per game –> more points.

Ironically enough our own wins and losses don’t really matter *as* much anymore. Theoretically we could still fall to the 6th seed but it’s pretty unlikely with Minny 3 games behind and 4 games left, but the most important thing for us is that the Nuggets have to win at least one more game than the Lakers out of the remaining 4.

Whether we end up 4 or 5 isn’t as big of a matter, although 4 is ideal for home court. Main thing is that the Nuggets are incentivized to go for the 3 seed since they can’t match the Lakers round 1 anyway for a relative cakewalk and they really want to avoid OKC in the second round if possible.

Yeah the thing about Lebronto was at least it was relatively short lived and they got a ring immediately after that time span. The Rcokets got denied what could have been at least one ring and everything to the legacies of Harden/Chris Paul in 2018, and it spans back to 2015 when it was Steph vs. Harden all the way in that 2015 WCF…even with the way it ended in 2019, you could still make an argument for something else, but with that 2025 series it’s like the cherry on top.

KD had the best overall statline and Alpi hit the game winner, but Bari was our rock tonight. Every time they went on a run he hit a big bucket to slow them down or get us some momentum back. 23 and 9 on 75% from the field and 71% from 3 plus consistent great defense is CLEAN.

Single game +/- is frequently a non-indicative stat in a vacuum but this is one of the times where it clearly lines up with the eye test. +15 in a 1 point win.

If it’s anywhere around 7+ seconds left, Kerr doesn’t call a timeout. It’s his style and has been that way essentially the entire time. There’s a reason the OKC double bang call starts with “they do have a timeout, decide not to use it”
