The Nuggets won with their entire starting lineup gone, the Pistons almost won against OKC with a bunch of starters out, and OKC basically has a second starting quality lineup sitting on their bench. Not to say they were good necessarily with their stars out, but there’s levels to this shit. Lakers bench is quite literally one of the worst

Yeah, you are absolutely right. This kind of roster could’ve won 10-15 years ago, but the league is way too deep now for this kind of roster construction to have a serious shot at a title. It’s crazy how much talent the NBA has right now and the real contenders go 8-9 deep with exceptionally impactful players. It’s really awesome to see and I hope it continues.

Pacers had too many injuries early in the season which led to them falling in the ranking the way they did. But they were shown that they were capable of playing competent basketball and actually win games if they weren’t blatantly tanking.

Reaves is invisible against good defenders, he’s not as good as you think. He’s great against below. 500 teams.

The Lakers would had lost to the Thunder regardless. But Luka and Reaves were already injured early in the 1st quarter. Luka was shown grabbing his hamstring multiple times during the 1st quarter. And Reaves was shown grabbing his lower back multiple times during the 1st quarter. Was unfortunate that they both weren’t healthy coming into the game.

Steph is barely a positive defender but he massively helps the defense by playing. Teams have to play more defensive lineups to control him and Steph allows warriors to play more defensive players like Dray looney gp2

He’s a pure shooter + some nice basics. That’s what he’s paid for, that’s where he’s elite.

This game he’s being asked to be the main ballhandler, run sets as the main man often AND shoot, while he’s guarded by players who’d normally be on Luka/AR. Turns out high usage, high volume elite PGs like Luka, Shai, Brunson etc. are paid max contracts for a reason. It’s really fucking hard to run the offense in the NBA.
