[Highlight] Wemby and Jokic duel - Full Highlights
Wemby’s speed and mobility is beyond beautiful for a man his size.
Jokic’s hands are actual wizardry.
Gotta be up there for all time basketball duels.
I also loved the competitive fire those guys played with. I haven’t seen Jokic that determined in a while. They brought out the best in each other.
It can be pretty frustrating as a fan, but he doesn’t like playing team he deems “unworthy” I think. He doesn’t sit games out but he throttles down to about quarter effort sometimes.
can’t wait for the 2nd round matchup
The replays on the last floater were amazing, what a shot
wemby just tipped his fedora on that one, jokic’s touch is so good.
I feel like that is a skill that so many good big men have today. Embiid, Jokic, Wemby, they all have an incredibly soft touch on the ball, I don’t think people realize how hard that is to do and Embiid/Jokic in particular might have the softest touches in the league. It’s crazy how many times the ball gently bounces multiple times on the rim and goes in because of the soft touch.
wemby’s touch is still a notch down against jokic and embiid, he will get there in time but im glad that he gets to play against this good big man so he can incorporate some of their skills in the future.
i respect how jokic can still perform with heavy minutes, it feels like stressed jokic has a better accuracy 😭.
Wemby and Embiid are great, but… Jokic is in a league of his own on the soft-touch floaters, and certainly the Sombor Shuffles that are being referenced.
Jokic has the softest touch I’ve seen, and Embiid has an absolutely incredible midrange package. Wemby is still a tier below them in regards to pure touch.
An all time duel.. we are witnessing the best big man matchup of all time in real time, we just don’t know it yet. Incredible game. Not yet, wemby, you’re time will come
might come as soon as the 2nd round in the playoffs haha
This is the match up I would look forward to the most as a Nugs fan. Spurs and OKC.. inject it into my veins! He could very well knock Jokic out this year, but I think we win the series. Big Honey is just too damn good
I’m equal parts terrified of the matchup but also accepting that Wemby absolutely needs that matchup to cut his teeth in order to grow into the champion I know he can be
BEST MATCHUP IN THE MODERN ERA DONT @ ME
I think Spurs are too young and inexperienced to be champ contenders this year but they are a dynasty in the making. Wemby, Castle, Harper all learning to win together at 22,21,20 years old. Good luck to the rest of the league for the next 10 years
A treat to watch tbh
I hope we’ll get to see this again in the post season.
remember he should have, IMHO, at least 2 more MVP’s but that’s a different story lol
It’s a very different story and I hope we can have a post that doesn’t devolve into MVP arguments.
I truly wonder if some people know how to talk about basketball anymore without it immediately turning to MVP race. It did not used to be this way.

It’s nothing against your comment personally man, like a lot of people I have MVP fatigue and I feel like it’s ruining any good basketball discussion on this subreddit.
Sorry if I was jumpy, it was sort of “Oh here we go again”
Don’t write “in my HUMBLE opinion” if you proceed to react like this when the OP tells you he’d like his post not to devolve into MVP discussions.
I’m sorry what? Alot of sensitivity in the air this morning … is everything okay at home? I can speak freely about anything related to the topic of basketball in a basketball forum. I could understand if I said someone not related to these two players mentioned… being a suck up must get tiring no?
The irony…
Yeah, I’m so sure he should have at least 5 straight MVPs up to this point.
I mean he stole giannis mvp in 21 though
