We had no idea we were gonna move all the way up to 2nd in the draft. Odds had us at around 8 and we needed a PG. It was a great pickup that only kinda looks bad in retrospect because we ended up with Harper.

His contract still isn’t all that bad for us tho. By the time it’s time for to re-sign, that’s when all the rookie contract extensions start happening for our young core so he’ll likely either take a paycut or well move his contract to another team for draft assets.

Without a doubt. People can place the blame on Fox for this game, but the biggest issue was the complete lack of creativity drawing up the offense late. No off-ball movement, no attempt to get the ball anywhere. The Spurs completely abandoned what’s worked for them for months late in this game.

Hasn’t even really been the case until now. The Clippers game a few weeks ago with the Wemby game-winner was a great example of us still utilizing the heavy ball movement this team has been associated with late and close. There were a few games like this early in the year when the team was still finding its identity, but this is the first time it’s really reared its head.
