I honestly don’t see how any team trades for Ja and his contract without the Grizz giving up assets, unless a team like the Kings talks themselves into him somehow turning back into the Ja from 2022.

I assume the Grizzlies will stretch his salary and cut him in the same way that Beal and Dame were let go. They probably have 2-3 year rebuild ahead of them but who knows it could be faster the Grizzlies have historically been excellent at drafting.

Ja has negative trade value, the Grizzlies called every team in the league to trade him at the deadline and would have had to include major draft assets to dump him. He’s not getting traded in any conventional sense unless another team wants a negative asset swap.
