Franz was injured for half of last season and most of this season he just came back yesterday (also he’s not from that draft). I think Franz is probably in that same boat as well. But I think Franz is even less likely to take a superstar leap unless someone gets into his head to take the initiative and be that guy.

Also I’m quite worried about his ability to stay healthy. He was mostly healthy his first few seasons but he would regularly tweak his ankle and be out for the game, and occasionally multiple games even in his early year. I think his ankle must have always been in pretty bad shape, and now he’s missed most the year because of it so it may be getting worse. Could be a grant hill situation with the ankle (not the life threatening ankle infection part, but the degenerative part)

Big difference in how well JDub’s skill set scales and compliments talent vs how Paolo’s does is the problem. JDub would be overtaxed as a no 1: he’s also an all nba NBA defender, can play off the ball, good in transition, reasonable secondary play making skills, and while the 3pt shot isnt perfect(hes not a true floor spacer) its more credible than Paolo’s. When called upon he’s just a more efficient shot creator out of ISOs and the pick and roll.

Is JDub perfect, no, but he plays quicker and knows how to operate within a flow of an offense better than Paolo. JDub or Chet can fit any set up: I dont think its nearly that simple for what Paolo’s skill set is. And thats also making a huge assumption he would show a willingness to adapt, scale down and make adjustments to his game he never has shown(the consistency in the issues Paolo has had all 4 yrs is what stands out).

Fr, I’d give this team to another head coach before giving up on Paolo. Mosley is terrible, the team is so stagnant and no one moves off ball, it’s isos after isos. Even though Bane makes a lot of threes, he has to work his ass off to generate them. Give this team to someone like Micheal Malone, who can instill an offensive identity, and then see if Paolo remains the same player
