No, it really isn’t. He’s the best perimeter defender in the league too. If someone blows by him and tries to use the rim as a shield, he can just reach under the goddamn rim and block it, as we saw a few games back. This now makes him an utter nightmare, because he is unafraid of biting on a pump fake since he can recover so well. Nearly impossible to shoot over him, nearly impossible to get past him and not have your rim attempt blocked, nearly impossible to draw a foul since his body doesn’t need to be anywhere near you to block your shot.

The only reason he isn’t the POA perimeter defender is energy and opportunity cost, since he’s even more valuable patrolling around the rim.

It’s not like he would be playing them heavy minutes, if they both got put in with 8 minutes left then that would be 25 minutes for Podz and 18 minutes for Seth, and I wouldn’t call the game a lost cause at that point.
