That first sentence reminds me of another ex-King who I’ve grown to love immensely. It’s the attitude that really is a difference maker sometimes in whether a role player succeeds in the league or not. That’s cool that he isn’t letting the negativity and the tanking affect how he plays, so many early career vets might mail it in and then when they’re a FA, blame it on the organization they were on.

Honest question, did Kings fans see this coming for Queta? He’s exceeded all my expectations and then some.

Honestly can’t believe how bad your defense has been recently… it’s the most unrecognizable Spoelstra team that I’ve seen, it’s like every game recently is a re-run of that Cavs series…

Doesn’t look like it’s going to happen this year, but Spo really needs to put more trust in Ware, your only path to a respectable defense is double big with him and Bam, all your perimeter players besides Davion always get cracked off the dribble, even including Wiggins, though he looks like he’s aged 5 years already in his Miami tenure.

Ware is flashy but the dude doesn’t guard a chair. He bites at literally every fake and has no lateral quickness to switch or guard the perimeter. He is also very offensively limited, the 3s and dunks are fun but he lacks a real post-up game. Our gimmicky offensive system hurts him a lot too, since a lot of his points come from rolling to the rim.

There’s a very loud sub-section of Heat fans that see Ware for what he is on paper (7 footer that can stretch the floor) and claim Spo is holding him back, but the truth is his shortcomings have seriously hindered our teams’ success. Of course, you’d think any competent team would have maybe more than 2 bigs on the roster (especially seeing as we want to play both at the same time), however as we have seen the Heat FO ain’t exactly award winning at this present moment

Yeah that’s a pretty telling rebuttal and honestly if a coach like Spo isn’t playing you much, it’s probably for a good reason.

It’s always tough with some of these players who have talent, but don’t have the feel/IQ to properly use it and are a tad bit limited in their game.

But sometimes you just have to force it and live with the mistakes to get improvement down the line, seen that in real time with JB. Will be a big year for him next year as Year 3 is typically when you’d expect him to make a jump, he’s the swing piece for your franchise IMO, either he has to develop into a star or has to be the central trade piece to get you one. He’s certainly more polished as an offensive player than Evan Mobley was at the same age.

That’s just who he is. He will have 1 good game where he looks truly dominant, and then completely forget that he has that in him for the next 4. Our fans try to excuse it by saying he is trying too hard on defense, so his offense suffers, but we just let the Kings drop 123 on us. There wasn’t a lot of defense happening.

It’s also why we needed to go get BI, but if your “best” player is making a max(probably supermax now that he is likely to hit all-defense), and cannot consistently score, he cannot be your best player.

Actually impressive to manage to shoot 15 less times when FTs are pretty much equal and they had more turnovers. We let a second round rookie center and a 6’9 guy who can’t find a long-term team outrebound our all-star forward and our $100,000,000 center. If only we’d kept that Pacers pick, been even more mediocre, and gone into this loaded draft with two lottery picks, one of which is top 5.

We could’ve shipped a future 1st to get rid of Jak, possibly got a Dybantsa and another CMB level guy, and entered next season w Scottie, CMB, a top 5 guy, a top 15 guy, future cap space, and expiring RJ with room to re-sign if wanted, IQ, and a couple of pieces in Jamal, JaKobe, Battle, and even Dick, to get more minutes this year and develop. Instead we are gonna get swept if we manage to make it out of the play-in and are in cap hell.
