Not if you watch us. Lamelo unlocks the offense and makes every single player around him better. And he’s actually improved from a black hole defender to a mediocre one which is huge.

It’s 3 months but it’s basically since the team changed overnight. We’re literally a different team. So if you wanna get a fair example of the effectiveness he’s had since the winning started, you need to change the sample size.

He isn’t even unpredictable. He is a very willing passer and isn’t always hunting for his shots or making boneheaded plays. Brandon Miller will routinely just take over the game and Lamelo doesn’t mind. If Kon is open it’s always finding him. The fact of the matter is throughout his career he’s had an awful situation and now he’s finally having a team that is capable of winning around him. He has no history to even make the argument his playstyle won’t translate.

This isn’t true. You should really watch the Hornets. He’s the key to their entire offense

Yeah variance is great if you’re the less talented team. The Hornets are feasting on 3 pointers, for example.

You do have to wonder if they are historically great and we just haven’t seen enough consistency yet.

He’s been unpredictable but this run has been happening because he’s been locked in. Whether or not he can keep that going is another story.

I wouldn’t say unpredictable so much as inconsistent. He’s excellent in structure and runs offense at an elite level with elite reads, but there does seem to be something with his decisionmaking down the stretch of close games that’s a little flawed. He has a tendency to stay in the same mode the whole game instead of recognizing when to slow down and manage a lead.
