Standings wise, Nuggets have managed to build a lead on the Wolves and are gaining ground on the Lakers. First round isn’t a guarantee but a Luka vs Shai rematch and a Jokic vs Wemby 2nd round would be peak hoops and I can’t wait for the immense toxicity that all 4 fanbases will bring forth. Bonus points if both series go the distance

Health and match ups will be so important this year. I know its super cliche, but still

People say this stuff every year and the team people project to be weak is actually strong and the team people project to strong is actually weak. Like that Wolves-Suns series a year ago.

No matter what we say we will get shit on lol, our sub routinely talks about this too, but this is my ideal matchup:

Lakers first round. Yes, they are playing lights out, but we really dominated them in the playoffs last year. They added Ayton which is huge because C was a black hole for them last year, and they’ve also meshed really well since adding Luka. With that said, we completely shut down Reaves. Luka can drop his 40 but if Ayton and Reaves are kept in check I don’t see them beating us. Lebron will be the same as he was in the previous series. Good but not great/elite. The issue is that Jaden McDaniels is injured right now and he was excellent on Reaves last year. If he isn’t 100% for this series then I think the Lakers could definitely win. Both teams fully healthy though I definitely like us more. Also Kyle Anderson actually defended Luka pretty well in his minutes against Dallas in the WCF two years ago. Yea Luka shit all over us that series but Kyle’s defense was actually a bright spot in that series on him, so maybe he can replicate that again to some degree. I also just fucking hate LA, so I want to beat them lol. It was so nice knocking them out last year. Lakers in 5!!!

About a month ago I wanted the Spurs in the 2nd round but now I actually don’t know between them and OKC. I’m probably still leaning Spurs for now just due to the playoff inexperience.

WCF would probably end up being the other team of OKC/Spurs. If we could get Denver or Houston in either the semis or WCF that is obviously more desirable.

I think optimistically speaking he could be back in time to train for the 1st round match up, more likely is he’ll come back sometime in the 1st round

People said the same thing last season and they turned it up in the playoffs. I’m not worried. They’re arguably the most veteran team in the top 6 of the west at this point, they don’t need to go balls out on defense every night when they’re the best offense in the league and they know that
