Also we are just MASSIVE, from corner to corner of our mainland is about three times distance between Serbia and Latvia. I imagine an American knowing where those countries are would be like Europeans knowing where Wisconsin and Wyoming are in relation to each other. I don’t really understand what different people from different parts of the world consider “close” to be honest. If I go 1000 miles from Atlanta, I’m in Texas. Would I say it’s close? No, but it’s not that far. It’s driveable. And it’s still in the same region of the U.S. aka The South or Deep South. So are Latvia and Serbia close? I guess not for the people from the region. But for America brain me, I look at most of Europe and think “driveable.”
