I think offensively he is still insane, but you can see he doesn’t drive as much. I think the biggest issue is rebounding. He can’t rebound like he used to and that’s a big problem against Pistons, Knicks, and Celtics. Morey has made some major mistakes, but he is really good at drafting and finding cheap supporting pieces

Siakam instead of George would have been a dream. Easy to say we want the hardest archetype to get in the league but we dont try to develop them either.

he can play the 4 but hes not exactly a dirty work guy at this point in his career.

that is what we need next to embiid. He cant really do the hustle plays anymore and we dont want him to be the guy attempting them. The problem is rebounding and sometimes rim protection right now because he can only jump a few times a game. Things PG doesnt really help with. He has been good in his return i dont mean this to shit on George, just that in a perfect world you have a siakam type next to him. Ben was supposed to be that guy and then kinda quit.

Celtics would do the same shit. Put a thick, low-center of gravity wing on Embiid like Marcus smart or Grant Williams and have the big serve as the help defender around the rim. Centers are too oafish for Embiid and always end up getting cooked and/or in foul trouble

Because the Hornets coach is smart. He knows centers can’t be as physically as smaller wings and guards can.

He also knows he doesn’t have a center that can guard him anyway so might as well put a smaller guy on him and hope for some steals, offensive fouls, and maybe a tech.
