Everyone on the bench was super excited for how close he got on the three. They were heavily invested
The quirky thing about Luke Kornet is that he zagged in development and it really paid off. When he came into the league every team wanted stretch bigs and he came in as a shooting big, stretching the floor and running a lot of pick and pop. Once he got to Boston he refashioned his game to be a lot of rolling and around the rim play, and it’s resulted in a longer, more proditable career and a real niche for himself that contributes value to winning teams. But he actually can shoot, he just never does it anymore.
I believe he had a pretty serious injury to his shoulder that fucked his shooting motion, which is why he does that little hitch thing in his free throw routine.
Might have, that’s a wrinkle I wasn’t aware of. The fact that contributed to lengthening his career when he was a fringe g league player for his first years is ironic
Yeah he spoke about it recently, he got elbowed in the head and broke his nose, and unknowingly messed up his conditioning since he couldn’t breathe as well. Caused a lot of health issues and ended up hurting his shoulder, then broke his foot and his shot just never came back

Now some people care more about the MVP, a subjective award voted on by a lot of people who know jack-shit about basketball, more than the actual games.
You talk shit about their team and they literally don’t care. You tell them their favorite player should be 3rd in MVP voting instead of second and they go fucking nuclear.
But the worst part of it all is that in order to “support” their player they spend 90% of their time absolutely shitting on the other good players in the league. It’s so fucking stupid.
I sometimes feel like I’m the last person on earth that likes watching all of these guys play.
