[NBA on Prime] LeBron James asking which Bron was checking in.
Not going to lie, as a father, that would be the coolest thing ever to play with your son.
Not gonna lie, as a son, that would be the coolest thing ever to play with your father.
Not gonna lie, as a grandpa, that would be the coolest thing ever to watch them from the screen.
Not gonna lie, as a great grandpa, that would be the coolest thing ever to watch your son, watch his son, play with his son. From up above.
Not gonna lie, as an unborn baby that would be dope watching my Dad play with Grandpa while great great grandpa watches Great Grandpa watch tv.
I’m gonna lie.
why did my dad lie about the milk run?
Some milk runs take a very long time, son.
They have better milk in Mexico.
Hola Mexico!!!!
Lies
Lmfao
Thank you.
Someone had to do it
I respect that. Even if you are a filthy liar.
I’m basically Pigpen from The Peanuts the way the lies form a dark cloud all around me
Do it then you coward
Oh shit he did it by saying he was gonna do it and not doing it
Not gonna lie, as a wiggling sperm cell finding my way into a juicy mama, I ran into some shit.
“Uncle is that you!?”
I mean there has got to be someone out there who knows he’s lebron’s dad, right? (unless of course he dead)
Too bad Nate Thurmond has been dead for a while
Not gonna lie
Not gonna not lie, as a daughter I am not gay at all.
I played against my Father in a church league. Most guys had played HS ball including my Pop. I was in my early 20s and playing at the university gym everyday alongside the church league.
I jumped in front of an inbounds pass and stole the ball from my much taller father before laying it in over him. At which point I turned and yelled “who’s your daddy now!” he laughed while signaling for the inbounds again. Took the pass - put me on his hip and carried me the length of the court before laying it in - total Dad strength. No one there was going to call a foul, and I had to eat some humble pie. But it was funny.
Why do you wanna play with his father?
Devin booker every time he faces Luka
I agree, though I wonder what it would be like to know that you’re 21 and a professional athlete, your dad is 41 and about to retire (maybe), and he’s still better than you?
Not gonna lie, having a father in the discussion for the GOAT might make expectations a little too high for me to be happy
not gonna lie, it’s pretty stupid to say “not gonna lie” before saying the most obvious stuff ever.
Whoosh
Not gonna lie, I think you missed the joke
And even though people harp on him, Bronny is a good guy. That’s the most awesome thing.
Bronny seems like one of the most grounded guys on the team which is quite the accomplishment in parenting considering his dad’s a billionaire/uber famous
Bron and Savannah did hell of a job parenting. All their kids look very grounded, intelligent, and genuinely nice.
Every athlete should want a Savannah as a partner. Thats why it’s easy to get on athletes like Ant for being such a raw dogging dumbass when he should be getting his affairs in order to find a nice spouse.
I think Ant has cleaned up his act? At least he and his girlfriend have a daughter that he is very much parenting. That doesn’t cancel out the fact that he’s nutted inside of random IG models and is not caring about those kids but it at least looks like he’s (hopefully) learned his lesson.
They did, and it goes up to Lebron’s mom Gloria too. Honestly, the parenting skills in the James family may be greater than the basketball skills
I mean Gloria had the help of an entire branch of the CIA in raising Lebron. I assume the team of scientists in the lab he was grown in also kept up with him through his formative years.
I thought you said billionaire luber for a second there, like “hold up, Bron be Diddling like that???”
& he is a hooper . He still gets nervous in nba games but he is a great defender, he is strong & he can finish around the rim .
my buddy got a pretty big following by taking photos of bronny while he was in hs. he would leave work early to go to bronnys hs to shoot.
always heard great things about bronny and the james family
Ken Griffey Jr stealing a pop fly from his dad is one of the coolest sports highlights of all time despite being an otherwise boring play.
Its cool as shit just playing low level beer league with my dad after years of him coaching me, can’t imagine this.
If you’ve never seen the compilations of Griffey and Griffey Jr, you should absolutely check them out. Obviously I’m a homer growing up with Jr in seattle, but that experience is unreal. They also had some great shenanigans like Jr stealing fly balls from pops. So cool to now see it in the league
It’s amazing but I just hope they do a assist or even better a alley oop to each other
The one time they interacted as teammates(LeBron passing the ball to bronny for a open 3),bronny choked it
Not gonna lie, as a fan of sports, it’s the coolest thing ever to watch father and sons play together
How much longer will Lebron Sr. have to play before the youngest son can get drafted by the Lakers?
Lmao I love how he gathers his son when he realizes they’re both going in
That Dad - Son dynamic never really leaves ya
Might even win a ring together
If it were any other team…
Except Celtics (sorry), sixers, jazz, suns, warriors, wolves, thunder, knicks, heat, bucks, or rockets.
Who am I kidding it would be great
This is just social media fodder but this is never going to happen again in NBA history, so soak it up.
I mean it could easily happen again tonight with Lakers vs Nets and Smart being out again
Or maybe Lakers sign Booker. You never know.
Sorry i dont get it??
Doncic is Booker father
NGL, it might happen or not but drape to see something working towards the end of timeline. Hot asf!
Bro what even is your profile pic???
LDIDBF
Luka Doncic is Devin Booker father
Yo are we in nbacirclejerk?
What are we going by? Just that one game that Luka cooked? Cause Book leads the games won against the other, 13-6.
I beat my dad in most things these days. He’s still my father.
Mostly you let your son win. But sometimes you gotta show hin whos the boss :)
It’s a joke man
He means LeBron and Bronny/Father and son playing together in general. Not this specific game lol.
Idk might happen with LeBron and Bryce
Almost no chance. Bryce just redshirted meaning at earliest he’d be in the NBA in like 2028 or 2029. Im assuming LeBron retires after next year.
Then again folks have been saying that he will retire forever
I love it. He’s a proud dad. They’re up big, might as well go with it
19 points with13 mins left in the modern nba is far from over which makes it even better I think
Agreed, Bronny has been playing garbage time minutes all year but in this game he was playing real minutes.
His baseline dunk came with 10 mins left in the 4th quarter and his mid range jumper was with just under 4 mins left in the 4th. He didn’t close the game over course and was subbed out around the 3 mins left mark for Reaves and LeBron, but nonetheless he was playing real minutes.
Which active nba player has the next oldest child?
Anthony edwards probably started fathering at 12
Can you find this info on StatMuse?
tatum had a son at like 19?
It can happen. Booker could end up on the lakers and check in at the same as Luka
I mean Booker could play with Luka one day
I mean, it could with some younger players. Jayson and Deuce Tatum could be a future one
Deuce ain’t cut for the league unless he works on his dribble
Kyrie already played with LeBron tho
I wouldn’t rule out a Kyrie lebron reunion
Tatum just turned 28 and his son is 8. Reasonable to believe they have a shot at playing together.
I had to try an figure it out. Its not impossible but the odds are super low. Some kid would have to become a father between 14 and 16 an still make it to the league around 20ish. Kid would be about 6-8yo. Have a good career to stay in the league. Then play about a 14 year career for the kid to be about 20-21yo. The father would be about 35-36. Could see it possible with a more affluent kid but thats about it.
Another unlikely scenario. Some guy in another countries league makes to the NBA at a later age an then his son comes into the league before he retires. Or on a fluke some team signs his dad for like a 10 day contract from another league.
I think it’ll happen again, maybe not a top player of all times son but Carlos Boozer is 44 and his sons are top prospects. There’s a handful of 40 year olds in the league and seems like we’re headed for more.
We’ll see how Tatum’s kid turns out. He looks huge for his age and Tatum came into the league at 19 w/ a kid (6mo old at the time). Tatum just turned 28 so the kid is like 9 right now.
Warriors should sign dell to a 10 day deal quick
With the way the league is becoming more and more heavily kids of former players plus medical advancements letting guys play longer, I’m sure this is going to happen again at some point. But its still cool as hell and I love every minute of it.
While rare, it almost certainly will eventually happen again
Lebron looks so old in this clip god damn
My mans 41, with 23 seasons behind him, 10 Finals appearances, 4 titles, and life-long, world-wide expectations nobody could live up to.
He old.
He’s played an extra 3.5 seasons worth of playoff/Finals games
Jesus, that is an insane stat.
292 playoff games. Had to look it up for myself because it sounded so crazy.
Bruh what the helllll
Only comparison is Brady who was 35-13 in the playoffs for 3 extra seasons worth of games.
Pretty lucky to see both in the same era.
Are the Olympics and other USA basketball games included in that?
Does that include olympics too?
I know but from the games camera angle he looks and moves like he’s the same age as draymond or KD.
From this angle he looks like he’s from the MJ, Chuck generation
A few olympics thrown in there as well. I didn’t watch Space Jam 2, but I assume he played a little bit against the villains.
The lumbar belt does not help
Like my dad wears one of those and he’s 72
You mean the guy asking if the coach wants him or his adult son to check in?
I actually wonder what percentage of his life has been spent on planes and buses
I’m going to guess more than 1%
https://i.imgur.com/IbffHcz.jpeg
gah damm
IMO the best thing he can do to look young is shave his head fully
He is old…
yeah he does
Lebron looked old coming into the league. Why wouldn’t he look old on the way out?
#LeBronjaminButton?
He wears the thing around his waist like I do when mobbing around so yeah.
LeHearingAid
People can say what they want this is cool af lmao
I just hope they do a assist or even better a alley oop to each other
Same thing happened early last year too I know Bron tried setting him up but he didn’t hit his shots. It’ll happen really soon I’m confident about it, even though he missed it I loved the aggression he showed by pulling up for three in transition last game.
It will happen
“Stanley Yelnats?”
“Yes” “Yes” “Yes”
“The fourth”
I can fix that 😉
“Sir, another LeBron has checked in”
A second LePlane has hit the court.
baby laughs
Goat man deserves it, I have a couple of sons and this would be an amazing feeling I can imagine.
I’m LeBron’s age and my son is 6. I’m glad it’s played out the way it did, but I’ll be too old to do anything athletically well with him.
Man this shit like watching Goku and Gohan, shits peak
Do you think Bronny really wanted to be a Scholar?
Gohan was actually extremely skilled.
Gohan is also imaginary. So we take what we can.
Send in the Brons
LeDreamComeTrue
LeFulfillment
Does anyone actually call Bronny, LeBron though?
they call LeBron “Bron” so he probably just wasn’t sure whether he heard Bron or Bronny
I don’t think so but maybe the officials just said James
More so they say “James”
Bronny is such a young kid/young adult name. I think if he can carve out a career and get some years then once LeBron retires then he’ll just go by LeBron. Even just in life he should really just start going by LeBron. I honestly think part of the animosity against him is because of his diminutive and just makes him look like a child instead of a man.
I know a dude in his 40s named Bobby and a guy named Jimmy in his 60s. Bronny only sounds like a young kid name because you almost certainly don’t know any old people named Bronny.
Sidebar: When’s Bronny going to get that Brawny endorsement? Had he played at SC I feel like he definitely would’ve cleaned up with that NIL
This is such a cool moment
I wonder if Bronny can really contextual how cool this is. I’m sure he’s appreciative. But 20 years later when he has kids of his own, I’m sure he’ll cherish it even more. You never really truly appreciate anything in your youth. It’s incredibly humbling when you realize, most times when it’s too late. Just a natural part of life.
Say what you will about Bronny, but I find this clip absolutely incredible and sweet. Will you ever see a player play alongside their father again?
You can tell he’s just happy to play with his son. Like it probably means more to him than most would expect.
Was just gonna say, that little smile at the end. He can’t help himself haha
Is LeBron dying his beard black? I knew he had specs of grey through it, but it looks dyed here.
Full white/grey would go hard tbh
Getting dunked on by a literal greybeard
He’s been dying it for a while now
Think it’s just the lighting/zoom…it definitely doesn’t seem dyed with all the grey it has if you zoom in, or catch him at a presser, etc.
He really let it grow out in the bubble
I don’t care what the haters say, it’s so cool to see how Happy it makes LeBron to be playing with his son. That’s peak dad goals attained.
Father and son tandem
I’m just glad the Bronny hate fest is over. Made it hard to interact with basketball media.
Say what you want about the situation but it has to be infinitely awesome to play pro basketball on the lakers with your son.
Unnecessarily giving the fans what they want, this is the opposite of tanking right?
“Me or Mini-me?”
NGL I was gonna go nuts if Bronny hit that 3
Michael Jordan never played with his son
/s
Left that to the wife (of Scotty Pippen)
I hope that lady behind them just has RBF cause damn she looks miserable lmao
Nobody in those first couple rows is having a good time.
As a wolves fan, Obi Toppin jumpscare
As a Mavs fan, Obi Toppin jumpscare
Me or Bronny ?
ME AND BRONNY ???
I played with my dad on a mens league team this year and I thought it was the coolest thing in the world.
To do it at the highest level, can’t imagine how they feel! Truly an accomplishment
I’m just imagining Brunson, Brown, Williams, Green, Duren, etc. on the same team, the coach says “Jaylen, you’re in”, and they all stand up.
Truly a blessing
He’s living the dream right there !!
Judging by their reaction JJ replied “All of them”
I know that yall are thinking Cmon bron you know they mean you, But my dad and I have the same name and anytime our name is called in ANY situation its just like this.
experience this myself going to work with my dad super dope
Do they not often get called to play at same time?
Michael Jordan might still be the greatest basketball player of all time…. but
Lebron James has the greatest basketball flex of all time.
Me👈? Or 👉him? Me👈–👉him?
Wtf is on Obi Toppins head 😂
I just remember that Bronny cried when he was drafted, actually believing he earned a spot on that team.
41 year old saying the word “bet”
Bron Assemble
Sucks to be like much smaller than your dad forever.
The narcissist strikes again. He knows they don’t want his bum ass son lol
See how dumb you look? They both went in.
Now we just post random things just so this sub can glaze LeOld daily
