I know that this is probably meant as a shitpost but Gabe has actually been really useful in providing bench defense. Going from Krejci/Kennard pre-deadline to Vincent/Kuminga is an offensive downgrade, but also a defensive upgrade. Being solid during bench minutes has been a big part of how we’ve been able to pull off this winning stretch (previous teams leaned more offensively and would’ve lost at least a game or two by letting a random guy get hot)

The lakers desperately needed size at guard, if you are sitting Luka (AR was injured at the time) Marcus and Gabe is asking to lose those minutes especially since both are near guaranteed bricks (although Marcus has been pretty good from 3 as of late)

I feel like it’s all relative. The Hawks current roster build is more defense oriented, hence why Mccollum’s addition has been a huge help. And he’s been respectable defensively so it’s not killing them

For the Lakers its a much more offensive identity team. Make your shots and please someone just work on defense and Kennard probably does that better than anyone else on the Lakers bench

I could not possibly agree more. Really is going to be interesting to hear what comes out this Summer.

Considering how well Risacher has been playing, the idea of playing Kispert for a nanosecond just defies anything approximating logic.

For whatever reason, Quin (vastly) prefers Kuminga. There have been multiple Kuminga stories published with attribution from Quin and the team.

In these relatively long form articles, not a single word is uttered about Risacher which seems surreal when you consider his age and recent play. Crickets.

I am almost dying to know what happened as something did. Risacher benched right around the Kuminga trade and ever since it has been whatever this is.

As Onsi has zero connection to Risacher being drafted and Quin not seeming to want him on the floor and I suppose there you go.

I think the playoffs will tell us what Quin really thinks of Zac. It could be we know and have a plan for Zac. We don’t know about Kispert or Kuminga, so they want to give more minutes to see. Its very frustrating because I don’t think Zac should ever be less than 20.
