Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel is the fastest ever to make 250 3s - in only 72 games
Beating out Duncan Robinson with 79 games
He is also the leading player in 3s made this season (second is doncic 242, third is lamelo ball 228)
10 more for franchise record đ
In his first year is crazy
This white boy has so much motion
Wiggle
Whatâs crazy is Melo could also reach 260
New Splash Brozzers
Splash Buzzers
Buzz buzz motherfuckers
Splash Brazzers
NBA writers are getting good again. “New Spash Brothers emerge in Charlotte. Steph Curry decides to sign with Charlotte, where his father played, and mentors while becoming splash triplets.”
The Droplets
Triple Bees or the Killer Bees for our trio would be a sick nickname
Splash Oreo…you gotta throw Miller in there.
its actually 7 more for the franchise record. hes at 253 threes made
He could get that in one single game, next game lol. Crazy.
He is such a great shooter. He will only get better! I actually think that Knueppel will have a better career than Flagg. I could be wrong but time will tell. AJ Dybansta should go top 2 in the draft. Back to Knueppel, he broke the rookie record for most 3âs as a rookie. Broke Keegan Murrayâs record of 207 and in 59 games! 23 less games. Heâs at 252 now, he avg 3.5 3 pointers a game. Shooting 44.8% That is elite status. Hereâs some other records he has broken in his rookie year.
Steph Curry changed the game .
Just like Wemby will
spurs fans have a conversation without mentioning wemby challenge  level impossible
Wouldnât you??
How’s Wemby gonna change the game? He’s gonna inspire a bunch of young boys to grow to be 7’5?
Eat your veggies and youâll be as tall as Wemby!
Brother what steph did is easier to replicate. Nobody is altering shots like wemby in the nba probably ever?
Wemby is special in large part because of his size. He wonât change the league. He is more one of a kind.
If all the pickup players jacking up logo 3’s start wearing stilts, I’ll consider that a win.
What does anything have to do with Wemby lmao
He can definitely get to 280 if he makes around 3 a game which he can do
Meanwhile Steph breaking 400 is just on another level, itâs insane
It doesnât feel like a lot with all the games in a season until you compare it to other people who make a lot of 3âs and realize how nuts it is
Loved Eric bringing up to Dell that it took him 7 years to hit 250
Dell saying - âI wouldnât have brought that upâ đ
Eric always knows when someone is about to pass Dell on an all time list and he will always bring it up.Â
I’m happy for Hornets fans.
Get a Bridges upgrade some way and all systems go.
This is the way
Yes sir!
[deleted]
Thatâs not happening for 2-3 more years
That team isnât going to get built that damn fast lol
Lol fr dude is tweaking thinking 2 teams are just appearing out of thin air
Bridges is solid man,
Not really, He was good in this game but he’s an inefficient player who isn’t a good shooter, Dog water on defense and too undersized to hang with the real PFs, He’s very much replaceable
Fuck off. We donât need your pity âhappy for hornets fansâ. Better hope we donât make the finals
OKC aren’t making the finals brother, Spurs are winning the West.
No for sure, that’s the spirit! đ
ROY âď¸
20, 7, 5
19, 5, 3
You tell me who deserves the ROY, and I’ve not even gotten to the Defensive stats or the primary ball handler argument
Kon is third in the league for points per possession. While Flagg is in the worst 10 in the league for points per possesseion. Min. 1000 possessions. Efficiency matters and these two are world apart in that category. Kon is a third option while Flagg has been handed the keys to a non contending team so he can do what he wants. If you are gonna give me stats please give something more than the most basic box score shi
Then stop giving me advanced possession dumbshit
Flagg is the primary ball handler and focal point of the Mavs right now. Meaning he’s the one being guarded by the best defender from the other team on a night to night basis. AND the motherfucker is genuinely good at defense. So your weird ‘he’s third option’ argument makes no sense, because while its true it also means Kon’s being guarded by the THIRD best defender
Who even gave you plus minus lmao. You have no idea what you are talking about. And no it doesnât mean he is being guarded by the best defensive player. Matchups donât work like that. Wemby is the best defender but I can assure you he wonât guard Flagg when they play Mavs. You really just donât understand what points per possession means so let me give you an easier one you might understand. Flagg true shooting percentage is 55.9% while Kon stands at 65.0%. League average is 58%âŚ
Edit: he edited his reply from âplus minus bullshitâ to âadvanced possessions dumbshitâ lmao
Man, both are deserving. There will be dialog regardless who wins it, but Kon is putting up records and is like at worst the 3rd most important player on a team that has been to put it very mildly, a steaming pile of shit beneath a tire fire for a decade. A team that won 19 games last year and now they are blowing good teams out. We know how this works, regardless of how difficult some other rookies jobs may be on other teams. Both are extremely important to their respective teams but one of them is doing things we haven’t seen in a minute
55ts%, 0.076 WS/48, 1.6 VORP
65ts%, 0.164 WS/48, 3.0 VORP
All your rounding also makes Cooper look better. 20.4-6.6-4.7 vs 19-5.3-3.4 shows the rebound and assist difference is closer to 1 than it is to 2.
Spreadsheet fans are so funny, its like you want to use the numbers but are too afraid of looking any deeper than box score. Konâs 5th in the league in xRAPM, and heâs doing it on a winning team that might beat the 1 seed in the first round.
Edit: while i do think potential and ceiling matter, generally for ROY its not as impressive as immediate value.
Do you watch the games or only the Mavericks?
49/44/86 47/28/81
Hornets got a studÂ
imagine if he got a nicer haircut. unstoppable on all fronts
100p this is the outcome of growing up watching Curry. That’s such a crazy impact - being one of the players that people model their game after.

Lmao please tell me you didn’t just call Curry 1 dimensional
If you ignore his handles and off ball movement and gravity and playmaking then heâs clearly a one dimensional player
Also ignore his finishing, quickness and team-first mentality yeah all he does is shoot
Very simple really
Frankly take away the shooting and there’s not that much difference between him and me
If you ignore his hands and feet heâs clearly quadriplegic
I just realized I got top 1% commenter, I need to get off Reddit
Thats just the beginning, my friend. Youâll be receiving a call from us very soon, regarding your⌠bright future
One dimensional đ¤Łđ¤Ł ts gotta be rage bait
The man behind one of finest individual seasons in Hornets history, Glen Rice, back in 96⁄97 when I started following the league, was known as a legendary sharp shooter, who perhaps didn’t do much else on the floor, but the man could SHOOT.
I went and looked up that season, when he finished fifth in MVP voting. Only 207 threes (at a 47% clip, has to be said), in the last season with the shortened line.
Looking back on those stats and comparing them with today, it truly boggles the mind how much Steph has changed the game.
That year was one of the 2 or 3 where the 3 point line was moved slightly closer than it was before and since too so 3s were inflated for those couple years.
Yes, like I said, “with the shortened line”.
ROY
If he stays healthy, I really think he’ll give Steph a run for the record.
Havnt seen a white man shoot like this since Steve Novak
Hey big love to Steve â2Kâ Novak
Like as a rookie or in general? Cause how the fuck does Steph not hold the record if itâs in general?
When steph was a rookie, nobody was shooting threes at this volume.
So itâs the fastest as a rookie then? That makes sense.
I just know Steph has had seasons where he shot like 400 3âs so I know he had to have done this quicker.
It’s fastest to 250 in a career I believe
Oh, that makes even more sense. Damn, I was confused by this title lol.
Yeah, it took me a couple re-reads to get it. It could’ve been worded better
lol yeah no rookie has made 250, Kon broke the rookie record of 206 3s made, heâs shattering the record books rn.
No fastest to 250 made threes in their CAREER
I believe he was injury prone too so it started later in his career. But in general, he holds the record for most 3âs (over 400+) and most 3âs (270+) with at least 43% efficiency multiple seasons in general.
2015-2016 Curry made 402 threes
Thatâs why I was confused by this title. It doesnât explicitly state this is a rookie record.
That’s because it’s not a rookie stat. Duncan Robinson played 15 games his rookie season. I also find the “fastest” stats that people post to be very confusing, because they don’t actually mean the fastest they mean in the least amount of games to start their career.
With absolutely outrageous level of difficulty
Steph didnt pop off until a few years in the league. Thats why Luka has more 1st team All NBAs than him.
as a rook lol
To start their career. Robinson did it over his first two seasons as he only played in 16 games his rookie year.
“Hornets Kon Knueppel is the fastest rookie ever to make 250 3s - in only 72 games”
dude should have just transferred the word ‘rookie’ and we all could have avoided this confusion.
Unanimous ROY and it ain’t even close.
Kon have the best 3p% of the 37 players with 150 3pm or more..
Although Sam Merrill is at 149 at .438 (Kon is at .436.
Kon is at .438 now too âĄĚ
DAS MY MAN!!!!
I’m surprised Steph is not on this list.
Steph was a rookie at the end of the slow ball era.
My rookie of the mf year
So how did duke not even get to the title game last year…
the Duke’s entire starting lineup was drafted by the NBA
Imagine what he could accomplish if he gets Bill Simmon to pick and drop him off instead of just dropping him off.
Makes Stephâs 402 look insane
