[Highlight] Luka dishes one to LeBron for the dunk
I am completely numb to a 73 year old man still doing things like this
I can just post “he still old and good” every day instead of bothering with highlights lol

As someone with Cavs flair, I’m sure you watched LeBron in one if his two stints with the Cavs at minimum.
I think that most people here just forget how big LeBron is as a human being. He’s a legit 6’9 (measured incorrectly at 6’8 for years) with a 7’0 wingspan. It’s incredible to watch him continue to play at a mid-high level this far into his career. But, man, in his earlier years, he was quite literally a video game character. I saw him for the first time IRL at his summer camp the summer before he went to the Heat where he was legitimately 265lbs.
I would like to impress upon people that when he was in his early 20’s, he was as just big as he is today, twice as fast in all directions, had a 40+” vertical, and unlimited stamina. He is legitimately the most dominant and complete player that I have ever seen with my own eyes (I caught Jordan at his tail end).
I don’t think that I have a point, other than, people just forget that LeBron is a massive person.
I was really young during his first stint and had no frame of reference for what I was watching. I thought that offensive burden was what every star had to deal with and didn’t fully understand how insane of an athlete he was and how mid those teams were lmao. A lot of those early highlights look fake now where he was winning matchups just off explosiveness alone
He was a cheat code. Like, legitmately, if Vince wasn’t annointed Half Man Half Amazing, it should have been reserved for LeBron.
And speaking to your point about offensive loads, the carry jobs that he did in that first stint were in-fucking-sane.
While his contemporaries had teams comprised of Melo, Camby, Iverson, JR Smith and Nene; or Wade, Shaq, (Old) White Chocolate, Udonis Haslam; or, Billups, Prince, Richard Hamilton, Big Ben and Rodney Stuckey (lol); or Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnet, Ray Allen and Rondo, LeBron had Daniel Gibson, Jamario Moon, Big Z, Anderson Varejao and Anthony fucking Parker.
I remember Cavs fans at the time (I was one of them as a LeBron stan, IDGAF) being like “We got Jawad Williams, Antawn Jameson and Wally Szczerbiak, it’s over for you bitches”. And it kind of was, they won ~61 or so games with that squad and were unstoppable in the regular season. And it was 98% because of LeBron.
We are glazing hard but I swear there are no lies being told lmao. Say what you want about other parts of his career. There was nobody else on those teams man.
Young me was like he just needs to get to the cup at will every time then kick it out and we have some of the best shooters of all time
people just forget that LeBron is a massive person.
I feel like that’s true for a lot of players. They’re all playing amongst giants so, even after all there’s years, I forget sometimes. But then you watch them give an interview to someone who isn’t a former player and remember “oh yeah that guy is fucking HUGE. Damn.” Even the guards are getting massive these days. That’s maybe the one thing I truly dislike about basketball. In sports like soccer athleticism and physical gifts, while obviously still immensely important, don’t have the utterly out-sized impact they have in basketball.
even father time is getting sick of his shit.
At this point, his retirement date will coincide with his date of death
I’m aghast that a 91 year old is not getting the whistle after getting hacked.
LeCentenarian
I nearly cried the day we let go of LeLuka Broncic. It was nearly 9⁄11. Fuck nico.
LeBron is closer to 73 than he is to his age when he won his first ring
Jeezus christ, Lebron not really getting ANY calls huh?
Anyway, that’s a 41 year old dunk. He had to put a little bit of sauce in it to not get blocked.
Hes had at least 3 or 4 obvious fouls on shots today not called
That’s every game for him. They dont give him anything
Been that way since forever, that’s why he resorted to leflopping in the latter part of his career just to get the whistle that refs swallowed every time he played
They are saving up fouls for the playoff run like they are charging up a spirit bomb
I think he is moving too fast for the refs to see the foul
It’s been that way since forever. Refs probably think he’s lucky he’s not being called for offensive fouls.
Its the Shaq curse. Being just more mass than more players, you almost have to injury the man to get a call. The same ticky tack calls on some of the smaller players are not going to get called on someone like Lebron, Steven Adam, Shaq. Guys who are just too damn big to be playing basketball.
Worst whistle in the league
When Lakers play OKC Lu Dort is gonna bring a steel chair out WWE style and still no call lol
They’ll give the chair free throws
Someone needs to tell these refs that it’s an old man out there, and he can’t push through contact like he used to lol
Don’t tell Bill Simmons
Been that way for a looooooonnnngggg time
Bro hasn’t seen KAT play then😂
Correct I stay far away from KAT games
The refs do not respect this man
They need to respect their elders
They do but it’s always been like this for physically powerful players. I remember watching Shaq get fouled on every single play because opposing centers couldn’t stop him. The refs just can’t call fouls that often or the game would grind to a halt. Even then half the opposing team bigs fouled out.
LeBron is similar. He gets fouled so much because nobody can stop him in the paint. He’s either too big or too fast for any defender. But I get the overall point. LeBron should lead the league in FTs. Yet he’s nowhere near the top of the list.
Love how Reaves and Luka can get so many favorable calls but LeBron just gets mauled and gets like 4 FTs a game
Yeah, it’s genuinely weird at this point. You can graze Luka at times and he gets the whistle. Same with Reaves earlier in the season. LeBron can be hit on the head or the arm multiple times without getting calls.
I think a lot of the times the refs are just caught staring in amazement at what a 41yo Lebron is still doing and are too zoned out to make a call Lol
Refs are fine with elderly abuse
Ironically, lebron is sneaky strong and I think he is able to finish a ton with contact because he isn’t as effected. Not his fault.
Not sure if id call him sneaky strong or just extremely strong
Sneaky?
Sneaky like a bull in a china shop
Nothing sneaky about Lebron’s strenght, he’s always been a freight train
Ha when did you start watching basketball? He used to get the whistle way more, but he’s always been strong enough to finish through way more contact than just about anyone else. Definitely not sneaky, just a freak of nature
I mean that’s true for Luka too. He leads the league in and ones because of that. It’s just a weird thing with refs not calling it for Bron.
league is done with him, he can’t get a whistle for his life
I truly believe that’s the reason. They can’t make a new face of the league when the current one is still playing at an elite level. Hard to promote the others at that point
I love conspiracies but no way that makes sense right? LeBron easily makes the league the most money no?
I think its more about potential career money left at this point and the likes of SGA Luka and what not have more left
No one is tuning in to watch sga ffs let’s get real
i ain’t never been like “ooh an okc game lemme watch sga go crazy” it’s more like “im tryna watch luka go for 40” or “ im tryna see that long limbed alien destroy his opponent”
Got downvoted yesterday for stating the fact that it’s more entertaining to watch a thin bendy alien play basketball than it is to watch SGA
SGA plays some good fucking basketball, be real
He does, but it doesn’t mean he’s entertaining or compelling to watch
He is entertaining to watch and a lot of others agree. Sure he has moments of foul baiting but it doesn’t neutralise the entertaining ball he plays
He’s had a terrible whistle for 90% of his career.
Lebron will always be the face of the league as long as he plays. Steph is up there as well in terms of popularity.
Another hurrendous game by the refs.
Lebron has officially regressed into prime blake griffin (citation needed)
… Holy. You’re right 😶
Prime Blake with better playmaking and ball iq
This is the oldest player in the Nba?
People give lebron shit for complaining but he gets fucking SLAMMED for nocalls so frequently, it’s got to be annoying as fuck
It’s so wild to watch him go up for lay ups, and get literally knocked to the ground… with no call.
40 years old man he’s truly the greatest ever
LeFuckery will continue
Worst whistle in the league since his 2nd Cavs years
41
Dude’s 41 sheesh
Lebron still throwing it down on players half his age. RIDICULOUS!
Imagine Luka with even a 30 year old Bron, he’d average 15 assists a game and Bron would have 10 dunks a game.
If performance enhancing drugs were legal, Bron and Brady would make a mint selling their own line of pharmaceuticals
Cherish it.
The 20+ years old passing to the 40+ years old for the dunk.
No team will ever possibly win with a ball hog like this. /s
60 years old btw
lmao the refs really fucking hate him
Why are people saying foul? Because Huff jumped forward?
Yes, body to body contact in the air on a shot attempt is a foul, hope that helps
Arm contact too, it’s especially obvious from the baseline angle if this angle isn’t clear enough
Its mostly Laker fans or Lebron homers saying it honestly. They’re use to softer whistles.
This would be a no call on most players.
