[Highlight] Nikola Jokić caps his night by hitting the go-ahead jumper with 11.5 seconds left to give the Nuggets a 125-123 victory over the Suns. Jokić collects his 29th triple-double of the season with 23 points, 17 rebounds, and 17 assists.
A center averaging 10.7 APG is absolutely insane when you think about it. There have been multiple players touted as the “next Jokic”, but I don’t think anyone is going to be able to fill his shoes when he retires. 1 of 1.
Don’t even need to think about it lol should be impressive for any position but we are numb to his stat lines. When he’s gone a 23/17/17 game will be the top post on r/nba. For Jokic it’s just considered normal and doesn’t get traction anymore.
1o1.
What I love about the NBA is that no one knows who the next best player is going to be because the best players break the rules. No one would ever build their team around 3 pt shooting, oh nvmd steph curry just broke the league. Well now if you can’t hit threes there’s no place for you-wait who tf is this greek dude and how did he run and dunk his way to a championship. You’re telling me a fat center who can’t protect the rim is going to be maybe the best offensive player ever? Yeah right.
Joker guy might be pretty good
GOAT
bro was definitely beating Brodies season TD record if not mid season injury
Brodie was never a thing bro. It’s just Russ or Russell.
It definitely was a thing lol
Who tf calls him brodie? Not even charles barkley calls him that.
It’s a very old nickname when he would call people brodie on social media and people would call him that back and it stuck around for quite some time. Some old fans still call him that. It’s def a thing lol.
I’ve never in my life heard anyone call him that. It’s always Russ or Russell. None of his teammates call him that either.
I literally just explained it to you my guy. It’s really not that deep. If you’re too young to remember that it’s truly fine but that is the origin. To deny it is hilarious.
Not a thing bro just stop.
Not sure why you’re offended my guy…here is a literal 11 year old post on reddit asking about it and there are plenty more. I’m not arguing with you…literally explaining that it is a thing and where it came from. You’re wrong, it is honestly fine. Learn to deal with being wrong and learning new things.

My MVP
Would have been funny to see him rack up another 30-20-20 against the suns had the game gone to OT. Thank god it didn’t.
They needed KD for that to happen
Best in the world showing why
Yup. Dude’s leading the league in most advanced stats for the 6th consecutive year. Leads the league in rebounds and assist while being top ten for points. All time career leader in PER and WS/48.
People are so used to his greatness it’s funny to see
Ighodaro has now had both Wemby and Jokic hit game-winners over him in the last week.
When does LinkedIn post drop?
Raptors, Celtics, Spurs, Bucks, and Nuggets. 5 of the last 7 games lost the exact same way each time because Ott is obsessed with microball lineups that can’t defend, can’t get to the rim, and can’t generate space because of their complete lack of interior presence. I’m not mad at Oso for not being able to stop Wemby and Jokic. He’s a later 2nd round sophomore backup.
I’m mad that Ott saw this same lineup playing the exact same way fail to pull through against the worst teams and the best teams and thought 5th time’s the charm. Maybe if the door isn’t opening when you push it, you should stop pushing.
The issue is what other big are we putting in the game there? Williams is out and man man isn’t good enough to play down the stretch. I get maybe wanting dunn or Flemming in there, but they also struggle with when to help and when not to.
We had our best 2 way line-up in there tbh. Goodwin isn’t as good as Gillespie on offence but he’d be cooked on defence.
No one is stopping Jokic on that last play. No one was stopping Wemby on that last play. That’s what stars do. They win in the moments that matter most.
But what about the 4:30 before that? Oso is a great facilitator and good help defender. He’s a mediocre rim protector, rim pressure, and rebounder. And he’s a complete zero on offense if he doesn’t have the ball in his hands at the top of the key. Which in the clutch when it’s 85% iso ball from Booker/Green or one pass then shoot, he doesn’t.
Maluach is a more limited rookie at 19. He’s a decent rim defender and a great rim deterrent, He’s infinitely more of an interior threat than Oso. He can hit the occasional 3 pointer, but more importantly, he’s an average FT shooter (~73% vs sub <50%). His weaknesses are more on ball and the usual rookie inexperience.
Does that make him a better player than Oso? Of course not (yet). But Oso’s strengths are irrelevant in the late game when they go all iso ball, only his weaknesses remain. Maluach provides value without having the ball in his hands. His size and interior presence opens up the floor for the shooters since while he isn’t a major threat, he at least has to be respected. Oso gets zero respect on offense because he doesn’t deserve it.
But the real reason you try something different? Because if you push a door four times and it doesn’t open, it’s probably not opening by pushing it a fifth time.
I’m glad you can get it off your chest but my team hasn’t lost this season that I can remember so I can’t relate
It doesn’t help when you just sit in no-man’s land against the best player in the world
He chose to double Murray with Booker and didn’t recover in time to properly contest the Jokic shot. Just unfortunate really
Oh “best player in the world” wink wink, you mean against Wemby ;)
Suns continue to prove that they the most sorry ass team in the clutch. Thunder and Spurs should be praying they get them in round 1 for an easy pass to the 2nd round.
wtf is oso doing 😂
Guess this guy is alright. Wouldn’t mind letting him keep the starting role
exhale stats paaddddd!!!!!
