LeBron even has handshakes for the photographers
The stories that’ll be told about him in 50 years are gonna be impressive.

It’s the year 2086. Team LeBron has been fighting Team RoboLeBron for the past 10 years for the LeBronship.

Any other person never renames Twitter in the first place, so if there’s a name change in the future, it’s someone changing it back to Twitter.
Especially when you consider that messages sent on X are still called Tweets. It’s so stupid.

How are idiots getting outplayed by a great grandpa?
What’s crazy is that he could actually be a grandpa. He had Bronny when he was 20 and Bronny is now 21. He could be a grandfather while playing next season.
Someone get Bronny knocked up!
-You know you played against my grandpa. Wembanyama SR - 2026. San Antonio.
-I feel old. Why you do me like that ?
Idk how some of the people in the public eye have the social battery for all of this. They see so many people daily for so long and have to meet responsibilities regardless, whether that’s an actual thing they have to do or a perception that has to be met.
Cant wait
Just wait until it’s time for his retirement. All his former teammates will show up in order of when they played with him and then they’re going to do their handshakes. Every single one with no mistakes.
The man has decades of handshakes with over 100 teammates and staff. Impressive is an understatement
People joke about him fake reading books, but he’s incredibly intelligent and fast at learning any tasks involving physical coordination. Once he memorizes some shit he’s got it on lock forever. He can remember plays and pull out numbers from previous games at an insanely specific level
pull out game on point
Ant could never
Cant-man
Bron would’ve never asked “send da vid” he would’ve had a feeling and called it ahead of time.
crazy how lebron can remember his pull out numbers
Mfer even I can remember my pull out numbers. Spoiler: it’s trash
LePeppajacks pull-out game is VERY strong
Yup it’s almost like he’s a superhuman biological robot
He’s also good at explaining the game. I really wish I could remember who it was but someone said LeBron would explain a play and what to do a teammate. They wouldn’t understand it so he would come back and explain to them in Their way to make them understand
Like imagine you and me are playing a game. You see it differently then I do so I go to explain a strategy but you don’t get it cause I’m explaining it in my view. I then come back and explain it to you in the way YOU see it. That’s insane when you think about it. This man is getting into the mind of his teammates to break it down to them in a way only they’d understand.
I wanna see it was Dwight that said it but I could be wrong
It was shumpert
yup, he said that when he was telling the story about bron telling the team what Kerr and Mark Jackson did different and what their coaching style is like and shump’s sitting there worried about curry lol
I’m sure LeBron reads a fuckload. Dude is very intelligent. But also he was using those books for photo ops when he always had them open in public on the first page.
Maybe but I read a fuck lot and I’m dumb as rocks. Bron is smart but it doesn’t mean he reads.
This doesn’t track to me. I’ve never met someone who reads a lot and is dumb
Yeah, actual dumb people don’t have the self-awareness to describe themselves as stupid, and a lot of smart people suffer from imposter syndrome.
Generally, if you can look around and discern you aren’t the smartest person in any given room, you’ve got a leg up in the brains department on the genuine idiots.
Possibly. I suppose it depends on how you define being smart.
With that being said it’s definitely possible to be smart and not read much if at all.
So you never were in contact with booktok? Good for you!
He might be corny but he has a ridiculous memory, sometimes I question whether the stuff he recalls is scripted. I played high school sports about 11 years after he did and I remember nothing.
he has photographic memory
Corny is a feature, not a bug.
Once he memorizes some shit he’s got it on lock forever.
Jerry LeUcas
Lebron remembering a sequence of plays off the top of his head.
He has photographic memory
Just look at his interview skills. 6 grade reading age at best.
I’m sure any guy could that’s been doing it for 25 years and has no focus but that. Like any other professional, scientist, mathematicians, physicists, or any professional in there industry. And come on at some point basketball plays are just repetitive and relatively small variations I would hope someone playing that long can see what’s coming. Lets act like he’s a rocket scientist.
Lebron has a photogenic memory
I would love to have a video of the whole set.
Then make some card decks with them or something. 52 is not 100.
LeBron James is the Michael Jordan of handshakes
Imagine seeing a random clip of him repeating a hand shake he had with you with some one else
He seems like a genuinely decent guy. That has to be hard to maintain with his level of fame and wealth.
Nobody, i mean nobody, has ever had a career like lebron. I mean 25+ years of being in the spotlight and not a single scandal? It’s utterly ridiculous how great of a role model he has been through throughout his career. the NBA could not have asked for a better face of the league, or face of american sportsmanship. The largest magnifying glass of all time on everything he says and does, and he has never truly cracked. All they can bring up is… changing teams? Failing before success? Come on.
And everything’s just getting more entropic these days. Everybody is cancellable, nobody is beyond reproach. And when everything is recorded, every second of your life is a byte of information to be critiqued for cash. I genuinely think we will never see a public figure like lebron again. He is the first and last of a breed that’ll be looked back at like a myth. You just wont see this shit anymore.
That is one thing I like to tell my friends when talking about LeBron James and the NBA, especially those who don’t know very much. It is truly One of a kind to have his kind of Fame, and money.. But I feel like basketball is literally all he lives and breathes for, and I would also imagine his home life is decent as well and he takes care of his wife
I guess I should do a little bit of research on LeBron James growing up, like what his home situation and stuff was. But yeah. I’m extremely impressed that he has never done anything bad, no sexual scandals, nothing. He lives and breathes basketball
Another thing is he probably spends about 80% of his free time taking care of his body, to go that long in a career and have never had a significant injury I don’t think we’ll ever see again
Take all of the expectations away, take away his career that vastly surpassed those expectations…the fact that he raised a son like Bronny, who literally could do whatever the hell he wanted or nothing at all, and Bronny chose the hard path in the league knowing he’d be joked about, ridiculed, called a “nepo baby,” all that and he still chose to take that hard path. That’s so impressive to me. Most rich kids aren’t raised like that.
You have to give credit to Bronny too…but sometimes I think that’s the most impressive thing LeBron has ever done.
yeah managing to raise wealthy kids that aren’t batshit crazy is rlly difficult. I like jaden smith okay, but imagine if bronny had ended up more out of touch like him.
I agree, and now he has a son who plays professional basketball. I can only imagine the advice that he gets
That last part. First and last of a breed that’ll be looked back at like a myth.
That’s pretty true at least the moment.
He started playing when I was 11. I’m 33 now and married. I was eating oreos and playing Morrowind probably and now I’m in a house married. I’ve watched this dude play over half my life. At a high level. He’s past his prime yet still plays better than the majority of players, that’s insane.
He came into the league at the dead ball era, was the top. Then it changed to small ball. Won. Then it changed to how it is now. Still nearly on top. His “fall off” wasn’t even dramatic. It’s bonkers.
He’s also a good role model.
He’s legitimately going to end up as that guy we talk about to our kids in a way old heads talk about MJ, Wilt, Kareem, Russell etc. Just a legend
Why are you downplaying yourself? Don’t ever talk negatively about yourself
Tim Duncan comes close
Grant Hill was famous even in college but never quite reached Lebron levels of fame
Peyton Manning famous since college
Closest probably Messi and Federer, both famous from young age, remained in spotlight for very long time, and only two that compare or surpass Lebron on fame level
I mean 25+ years of being in the spotlight and not a single scandal?
closest is probably some of his comments on China?
He only has one controversy and that is 5 years ago when he sided with China over Hong Kong. He definitely should’ve never opened his mouth about that whole ordeal and it was all about the income and fan base from China.
But I can’t really blame him because it wasn’t for just a little bit of money, but a shit load of money.
There have been more than that but I think the majority of the sub is too young to remember them. LeBron also has an incredible PR team that washes stuff like this away, as did Michael Jordan. They’re also not too bad considering “scandal” rises to the level of illegal things. Not to be terribly negative but just to provide perspective:
In his first Olympics stint LeBron was wildly dismissive of the coaching staff to the point where it created a rift between him and Team USA and coach K. Wouldn’t listen or look at coaches, kept talking over them when they were instructing, sorta just fucked off with the whole thing.
During the 2007 ASG, LeBron and his group of friends were apparently so off-putting and out-of-pocket that Team USA more or less told the NBA that they were not going to bring LeBron to the Beijing Olympics if this is how he was. The NBA agreed that they did not have to. Nike got word of this and passed it down to LeBron that he really was not going to be put on the Olympics team if he didn’t change his behavior publicly and behind the scenes, which he did to a sufficient degree after that. I believe Jason Kidd was assigned as his big brother for Team USA more or less.
In the 2010 ECF there was the whole “LeBron gave up” thing going on after he only took three shots in the second half and more or less looked checked out of the game. That was a huge deal at the time and led into…
The Decision was a gigantic scandal that probably never comes off completely but he went back and got a title so I’m sure Cleveland doesn’t care too much. Nonetheless this followed him for a very long time and not telling the team, or teammates, before going on national TV and surprising everyone with a 1-hour special was a wild move.
When LeBron went to Miami he tried to get Spo fired and Pat Riley put his foot down on that.
The infamous dunk footage where Jordan Crawford dunked on him in a skills camp. LeBron had that footage taken from the videographers so it couldn’t be shown, but they eventually had to hand back the tapes later that year.
During the Biogenesis scandal, LeBron was linked to the clinic. His business manager Randy Mims has been purchasing testosterone and HGH through the clinic and his trainer (or his wife’s, I can’t recall) David Alexander was associated with it as well. Around this time the NBA started making strict policies around steroids as well, which is when you saw certain players get a bit smaller. This hasn’t ever been proven, but, we shouldn’t be naive either. Wade and Dwight were both certainly on some PEDs and its not unlikely that LeBron and plenty of the rest of the league was as well. Jeff Teague was not joking when he said what he said on his podcast about LeBron being on steroids, whether he knows that or not.
LeBron absolutely got David Blatt fired despite him being a very good coach and the team doing well. Luke Walton (perhaps deservedly), Frank Vogel (much less so), and Darvin Ham (more so) also were reportedly pushed for by LeBron and co. How much? Unsure.
The wild bunch of passive aggressive tweeting LeBron had done over the years about teammates. The thing with Kevin Love with LeBron subtweeting him, “Stop trying to find a way to FIT-OUT and just FIT-IN. Be a part of something special! Just my thoughts.”, was really odd. Love said that really bothered him and that, “he needed to adjust but wanted recognition for his sacrifice playing alongside LeBron and Kyrie.” Obviously they’ve since worked things out. Not so much with some other guys that got Le-GMed.
During the bubble LeBron wouldn’t give up the mic during the players meeting after an agreement to keep playing was reached by the players. He got up and said, “I have to look out for the guys beneath me”, kind of filibustering and that bugged a lot of players. He then said, “My time is very valuable”, and walked out of the meeting.
You had mentioned the HK thing so I won’t rehash that.
The whole Lakers org behind the scenes stuff is not good, but we still don’t know the extent of it. LeBron and Klutch more or less held the org hostage and Jeanie Buss really wanted to find a way for that to change. They had too much power in the organization according to her (and others) and were able to use too much power in regards to free agency decisions (Westbrook trade in particular), coaching decisions, and sorta dictated the culture of the Lakers for a while. That was part of what getting rid of AD was about. We’ll hear more about that story years down the road.
Recently he has been engaged in a lot of discussions with the Saudis and planning business ventures with them. He has a boat racing team in one of their leagues. We’ll see if anything else happens with that.
Just the general “LeBron lies about stuff all the time” stuff. Not sure if that’s a scandal but its always been a thing.
There’s some other more speculative stuff that isn’t worth getting into at this point. It’s not the Kobe Rape Trial, it’s not Karl Malone, but he’s not an un-controversial figure in the NBA. Outside of illegal things you could absolutely make the case he is one of the more controversial NBA players in the modern history of the league.
That being said, with how low the bar is for the decency of public figures nowadays, it’s hard to be overly critical or really take him to task for all that much. If we’re comparing him to other NBA guys, yeah, sure, but LeBron is a hell of a lot more benign than lots of other mega wealthy celebrities.
I mean 25+ years of being in the spotlight
Was just talking to some friends about this. We were in elementary school when we first heard about him. I remember making him and Carmelo on nba 2k on DREAMCAST
And this mfer is still playing
LeMao saga already forgotten smh
Nobody except Griffey.
My main reason for LeBron over MJ…you can argue about skill and rings all day but you can’t argue about the actual human being…LeBron is and has always been a much better person, role model and father than MJ.
While being under a spotlight for the last 25+ years…most celebs and athletes have a slip up here and there, but that’s simply not the case with LeBron.
Bro I promise you the goat debate is everything BUT whatever the hell take this is lmao. Please no
Yeah what is this? I don’t judge GOATs based on how much I like them as a person at all lmao. Only rape and murder would be impactful enough to remove someone from the GOAT list for me
Only rape and murder would be impactful enough to remove someone from the GOAT list for me
What an absolutely insane comment lol
Not really. I understand that Americans have brainrot where “rings erneh” is seen as the only argument for a lot of people. But yeah, how fun you are to play with, how good a teammate you are, is certainly something that I (and at least some others) take into consideration when thinking about the goat debate. Now, its obviously one among many points of consideration, and far from the most important ones (winning and longevity), but it certainly ought to matter. And while LeBron is certainly far from a perfect teammate, he’s certainly leagues better than Jordan who seemed to have been a legitimate cunt.
The worst thing he did is The Decision and it doesn’t come close to how relatively bad miles bridges, Jason Kidd, Karl Malone and bs other nba players have pulled.
Everybody also ignores the fact that the Decision was televised to raise $2.5 million for the boys and girls club it was filmed in.
I legit did not know that. Thank you for sharing that.
Me neither, the media was so frenzied nobody cared to mention it
Was also the idea of Bill Simmons who then went everywhere to shit on LeBron for doing it
But I want to be mad!
Today I learned. Wow
Looking back I feel like people blew the decision way out of proportion. Plus it raised a ton of money for the boys and girls club. I’ve lived most of my life in NE Ohio and people went crazy afterwards. I can’t blame him for leaving the first time whatsoever.
its ok not to be a revisionist.
He was young, immature and really thought it was a lock.
Fate and time humbled him.
At least he learned.
I like him now but Still not my GOAT though. 😄
And speak out on black issues and against Trump, so right wingers hate him
Plus the whole coming back to Cleveland and bringing them a chip thing erased any remaining animosity
Not to mention the attention and hype that began at like 14, and somehow he exceeded.
It’s crazy to me how much people hate on him. When I was a teenager I gave him shit as a Kobe fan but I’m 36 now and can’t imagine trying to deny what he’s accomplished and it’s not just because he went to the Lakers lol
He grew into it. He was kind of a douche first.
That has to be hard to maintain with his level of fame and wealth.
That’s insane to me.
Thanks for the clip getting ready to push my “Bron punches women” agenda
“Technically, yes, no blows landed. But mimed domestic violence like this, especially to a woman’s womb area is highly disturbing.”
The fact that I legitimately can imagine someone writing that is insane lol.
You might make a good employee at some slander agency somewhere. My homie uhh kim.. wants to meet you. Up to you though no pressure
“Normally this would easily be a joke. But in today’s political mood? How can LeBron be considered a role model?”
Stephen A is drooling over that headline right now.
“Non-contact rape is still rape. Her womb felt those punches on the quantum level. If she becomes pregnant before those quantum disturbances dissipate she should be entitled to child support from James.”
This is comedic gold.

How does one get a gig like that?
connections, connections, and more connections.
She talks about it in this podcast (looked it up since I was also curious). Essentially came in as a social media intern, split with photos. COVID happened, NBA let go interns, eventually came back to Lakers in a social media role and the interviewed for a full-time photo spot when it opened up later.
Literally luck and connections. Thousands of people apply for these jobs. I’m one of the thousands.
OKAY FINE! I’LL ADMIT IT. I like LeBron
I will like him again as soon as he’s done playing for the Lakers

Bare butt balls and back?

He must be setting some time aside in the offseason to remember and practice them all lol
I can’t even remember my sister’s birthday. Willing to bet he has a handshake for the dog in the parking lot.
Maybe I shouldn’t wear headphones at work all the time

Should’ve been a sports photographer…smh
I don’t even know 20 people man. This guy remembers names, faces and handshakes.
I’m honestly starting to wonder, if the handshake is a mnemonic trick. That helps him remember the person’s name.
Like the handshake is specifically designed to remember the letters/syllables in a person’s name.
This is pretty dope
How tf does he remember all these damn handshakes

Say what you want about his basketball legacy, but the fact that he’s been the most famous athlete on the planet since he was 16 with zero off-court scandals, while being a great husband and father, is his true greatest achievement. Respect.
Yeah because he’s a PR machine so ya gotta be in with the person taking the pictures
Bron….hold it together for two more years, please. Seattle needs to host you one last time.
What a moment for her. I know she tells everyone. I know I would

Dinner with Jay-Z or a handshake with Bron? 😆
LeBron seems like a really great dude
Idk if im just high or what but at first i thought “aw they got a little girl doing the photographs at the tunnel” and forgot that this man is a 6’8” giant and she’s just a normal sized adult woman
I wonder how he’d react if someone forgot their handshake
