[Highlight] Kyle Anderson dazzles with the killer in-and-out crossover x3 to score the basket vs Luka Garza
Is Kyle Anderson vs Luka Garza the slowest ball-handler/defender match-up in NBA History?
My first thought lmao
A dude nicknamed Slo-mo vs a dude who is slower than a dude nicknamed Slo-mo
Garza isn’t slower than Slo-mo, but he does run like Waluigi
Anderson might be slower in his overall play speed and the meticulous and intentional way he makes every move, but there’s zero doubt in my mind Anderson beats Garza in a sprint. I’ve never seen a guy run as slow as Garza, he legit looks like he’s running in quick sand. He’s right on the same level of speed as the guys that were too big to play basketball like Tacko Fall.
Anderson is also surprisingly quick laterally, at least. You can’t get a reputation as a good defender if you’re actually incapable of moving.
Quick hands, too. I remember once he picked off the inbounds pass after a made basket twice in a row. Must have been the quickest sequence of 3 buckets ever. Score + Kyle Anderson steal & dunk + Kyle Anderson steal & assist for another dunk, opponents never had possession of the ball in-bounds at any point in that sequence. Annoyingly I couldn’t find the highlight when I looked just now.
I legitimately think there’s something wrong with Garza’s feet. He’s slower than seems physically possible with his stride.
The NBA has so many super-athletes now, it’s easy to forget how hard it is for a big to move around. Garza might be the slowest big in the league in 2026 but he’d look like Jordan compared to the 2000s era bigs they sent out there to foul Shaq.
Garza isn’t slower than Slo-m
Top speed: no
Laterally: probably.
Here’s another contender, a clip of Kevon Looney blocking Kyle Anderson
That’s a Bruin on Bruin crime.
That is … not a clip
Probably beat out a Jeff Ruland vs Dave Cowens match up in the early 80s.
Don’t think I’ve EVER seen someone hit 3 in-and-out dribbles in a row in like 2 decades of watching the NBA hahah absolutely incredible
And he didn’t really create any separation from it either, but he hit the shot, so I guess it was successful
It was separation in the sense that the defender was a half step slower jumping to block the shot because he was hedging that direction.
I mean if you slow it down. He doesn’t really create the separation until after the dribble move is done. He gains the separation on the gather, because Garza went to poke at the ball and then tried to get out of the way to not get a cookie jar reach in foul.
He doesn’t really create the separation He gains the separation
He doesn’t really create the separation
He gains the separation
It be like that sometimes
You can’t just take out most of a sentence to imply it means the opposite of why it actually means. In both sentences the person you’re replying to is saying that Slo-Mo gained separation. He’s just specifying when and why it happened.
What they’re saying is nonsense and I think my comment perfectly highlights that.
Thnx for the feedback tho
Made perfect sense. Dribble move didn’t create the separation, Garza gambling for the steal did.
Dude is right yall just doing that middle school annoying kid stuff.
What he’s saying is not nonsense, you need to read a full sentence to properly interpret any phrases within it. A single word in a sentence can change the meaning of a different word or phrase in it.
What if he wrote the sentences like this: “After the dribble move is done is when he really creates separation. He gains the separation on the gather, because Garza went to poke at the ball and then tried to get out of the way to not get a cookie jar reach in foul.”
These sentences functionally mean the same thing as the ones he actually wrote, the main difference being you can’t chop them up the same way. Would you say that they’re nonsense as well? Your comment doesn’t highlight anything about the comment that you’re replying to, but it does highlight how easy it is to make someone look stupid by taking their words out of context.
Different animal same beast
what the fuck do you mean kobe bryant
I said he didn’t gain the seperation on the 3 in and out dribbles.
He gained the separation because Garza reached during the gather after said dribble moves and then pulled away to not get a reach in foul.
Bruh take the L. Garza was fucking dancing out there lol. He coulda done any move after the first or third win and out he was cooking.
Brother, I’m not trying to stand up for Garza. If you look at the rest of this thread you can see I called him a cone. And it was a crazy cool move by Slo-mo.
But it is quite literally a fact that his separation was created after the dribble move, not during. When Anderson gathered for the shot Garza was tight in his airspace. It’s just he took a stupid swipe at the ball and then bailed to not get called for a reach in foul.
Garza is literally taking a giant step back and to his own right because he’s scared of Anderson getting a wide open left hand layup after the third in and out… he gathered for the pull-up… because Garza was backing up to guard the layup since he was mixed up by the impeccable slow motion triple in an out lol. This is classic shit you do in the backyard to a friend who can’t guard you
Yeah, threads like these really demonstrate who has actually played basketball before in their life lmao. Buddy refuses to take the L
Yeah bro but he took the swipe because Anderson was doing slow ass In n outs in front of his face three times in a row. So the fact that separation was created after the move doesn’t mean move didn’t have anything to do with getting that separation.
I don’t think the person you’re replying to would have to disagree with you. He could say the dribbles are what caused the separation, but the separation was not created while the dribbles were actually happening.
he created separation by getting garza to keep backing up until he was under the hoop
Yes he did
We used to call spamming the in and out two or three times fast “the chicken wing” back in the day in nyc. I have never seen anyone do it with a period at the end of each one until now.
It took a generational bad and slow defender to allow it, this is a unicorn event lol
Josh Giddey did the same thing against Chris Boucher a few years back. Can’t find the highlight though.
Man I thought of the exact same highlight, I’ll never forget it looked like a video game glitch
Tbf, Those 3 in-and-outs lasted 2 decades.
Hope he goes got 5, 6… It’s hypnotic
Slowmo’s moves hypnotizes people
Bro was spamming the button lol
This move literally only would work on Luka Garza LOL
If you ever want to talk about patience… just watch some Kyle Anderson highlights lol
This is legitimately beautiful
Slo Mo is who Luka patterned his game
This and the Looney sextuple pump fake, unstoppable moves
Slow mo can play!
Hypnotized him!
This was sick lmao
So this is why one of the most dominant college players of the last decade was getting no run in the NBA for years
He was also stuck behind KAT Rudy and Naz with us.
He literally just dropped 22-7 in his last game. He’s playable, but he’s not a starter.
Thing of beauty
I hate to make the obvious joke but I actually checked to see if my video player was playing at 0.75x
Dude was this [] close to getting called for 3 in the key while driving to the basket lmao
Wasn’t that a carry at least once..?
Seems like he did yeah, at least twice lol
Need a better angle to confirm
But they let these guys get away with that a ton, unless its super egregious they don’t call it
Kyrie lives off those
I love him but Garland carries nearly every possession
Don’t EVER change slo-mo
“Oh my God” had me dying bro
On the end Pritchard carries
Was that Matrix reference a Mr. Anderson joke?
The second coming of Andre Miller
That 30hz grindset
This mfer triple deked
Bro did a Ronaldo stepover in an NBA game
Slowmo on slowmo violence
Slow mo put him in the time machine
LA Fitness goat
Jeebus fries.
WTF was that?
I love Kyle. In a world, in which every team looks for the same player types his way of playing feels so unique. god bless him.
Slowmo with the body fake straight out of every dad’s playbook.
Just me or is the frame rate super crisp here?
Move the wolves to the east and they cruise. Not even close.
Wasn’t bad defense by Garza either.
The oh my god by the commentator was probably for the speed of the 3 crossover.
Wonder what the odds were for 3 in-and-outs + basket.
Nice
Thought I was watching an upscaled NBA Live 95 for a minute.
My fav is when the announcers were talking about Anderson after this play and referring to him as “slo-mo” (or something really close to that), and then it cuts to a slo-mo replay of this play to really drive home the extra slo-mo.
Timberwolves practice 2024 scenes
He can’t keep getting away with this 😭
i don’t want to hear celtics are a contender anymore man this teams bench is dogwater
