It appears that he played a lot of games in LA, Cleveland, and Miami. Perhaps that should be investigated further.

I’m surprised there aren’t more in the Bay Area and San Antonio from all those playoff battles

For anybody curious, he’s had the regular season+playoffs record since last season, he’s over 100 games above the rest of the pack.
Depending on how many games he plays next year, and how many playoff games the Lakers end up having this year, he’s got very good odds to end his career with 2000 games played. (He’s 96 away now, with 11 reg season games left and at least 4 playoff games, and you’d think that his retirement tour year he’ll likely try to go for as close to all 82 games as possible.)
Even if they played 7 7-game series that’s only 49 games.
This is regular season only. If you count playoffs he played 1001 games for Cleveland

Thats just a number. I was talking about the visualization as it represents the amount of times hes been to these cities for meaningful nba games. He broke the all time games played record a long time ago. I know why this visualization was posted today but it should include post season as well for sure imo. Seeing the Boston count be so low as the very first one shown was super jarring and obviously doesnt reflect what we all saw in his career. Or seeing the warriors one being equal to Sacramento. Like what are we doing? It sure isnt ‘lebron james games played by city’ like the title says.
I agree. While obviously this was made for the regular season record, this visualization would be better used to show all games including playoffs.
