Hope he gets his shot back soon. I think his legs are tired from the extra effort on defense
His hands are injured
His nose is congested.
Knees weak and arms heavy
Probably the nerves
His hip is bothering him he was questionable before the game
Not just extra effort JJ is playing him the most out of anyone rn sitting at like 40 min a game this win streak
IIRC his wrist is still bothering him
I think everyone is tired. The starters have hard carried the past few games so it makes sense to see some fatigue rn. That airball was a give away too
I just love that Austin always finds a way to impact the game
It’s such a stark difference from a guy like DLO who you just knew the minute his shot went out..it was bench time for the rest of the game.
The trust I have in him to do something! Is maybe too high but he’s just a dog
Hes also a plus defender when it counts
Man I wanted D’Lo to be good with us so bad in that second stint. When he was on he was legit a blast to watch but he could just never consistently put it together.
Missed some wide open 3s but had a really solid performance otherwise. Got blasted by Carter at least 3 times with no calls. Kind of an odd game all around.
Austin has been averaging 39 mins a game during this 9 game Laker win streak. Luka 38 mins with a wide league leading percentage in usage. Lebron 35 mins since his return from injury. JJ need to rest his top dogs or else someone is gonna get seriously injured this close to the playoffs.
Luka is gonna have to rest next game and they’ll play against tanking teams soon where they probably play all of them for 25-30 as they blow them out
I think it’s absolutely fine for a young player to play 39 min a a game.
His set 3s on this road trip has been cooked. So many good looks and he’s clanking and missing bad. He needs to turn this shit around soon with the playoffs coming up
Probably still has the wrist issues.
I think everyone is a bit tired from this road trip. He’s pretty much always still a plus on the floor though, and has been facilitating more because his shots been off
Better than Paolo
Man looking back at the Kennard game winner, it was Paolo who completely just left him there to double Bron despite Carter already being there.
He was big in the 4th. Kept them in the game. He missed his 3s but we wouldn’t win if it weren’t for him.
Some of those rebounds he had no business getting. I don’t know how he ended up with the balls a few times when Paolo and other big dudes were right next to him. His scoring is great but this dude hustles and do whatever he needs to impact the game.
But according to r/lakers he can’t play against any short of good defense
he splits them all day lol. He effortlessly took over after Luka got subbed out.
Despite previous good/mixed, playoff years as a 3⁄4 option role player… that turf toe injury, a confused JJ, and less than 3 months of playing with Luka in the Wolves series burned a certain narrative into hater brains.
The only way to shut that down is to have a good playoff run this time, and I believe he will.
(They will then move the goalposts and find something else to hate on, 🤣).
AR will always be my favorite Laker
Man, the Lakers having 3 people who can just turn it on at any time is so good. Anytime one is having a bad stretch the other 2 can take over
I’m worried that our core won’t survive by the playoffs. We look so battered. Definitely need some rest
SNOWTIME BABY
Luca has no help according to fans
It’s was about time he has a good game.
He was buns in the 4th
He scored half the teams points in the 4th
How do people miss that and then say he was bad in that specific quarter 😂. What is the point of watching the game I guess.
The whole team was lol. Magic really let this one go.
Whole team was man this long ass road trip defo catching up to them
