[Highlight] Luke Kennard hits the clutch three to beat Magic in crunch time (w/ replays)
Bro fixed his shooting sleeve before shooting it, baller
he was locked in🔥🔥🔥
Lol good catch that was cold
Exactly! Noticed it too, cold aff
He’s been with them a month but not really involved. Crash he wasn’t scoutedÂ
The lakers got Luka Kennard for Gabe Vincent.
Gabe has hilariously been decent for us when hes played too
Hell yeah win-win
Sold low
Hey now!! That second round pick could be anything!!
Even another Cardio G!
and? gabe has done much more in meaningful games than kennard ever has
Magic are tanking
Tell me you didn’t watch the game without telling me lol
I don’t need to watch the game. They clearly aren’t getting to a championship this year so might as well tank
That’s not how tanking works. They’re out of the lottery and tanking now does nothing. In fact they’re literally tied for a top six spot. Are you stupid?
???? They get a earlier draft pick if they have a worse record
They’re still in a playoff position. They’re not trying to lose to maybe get the 18th pick instead of the 20th lmao don’t be stupid, it’s embarrassing
Moving up 2 spots like that is a big deal. To move up 2 spots in the nfl it takes a 2nd round pick it’s insane
They’re not intentionally losing. You either don’t know anything about sports or just being a shitty troll but they’re in a playoff spot and were trying to win this game. They lost because of a poor switch on this play, it wasn’t intentional.
Arguing this hard that a top 6 playoff team in the east is tanking is one of the dumbest takes I’ve seen on this sub. This is embarrassing for you
Lol at that guy trying to equate NFL 1st round draft picks to outside the lottery NBA picks too 😂. Pathetic ball knowledge.
[deleted]
Uh what??? They purposely lost the game
Just keep telling yourself that.
Common lakers fan lmao
What💀
Lakers fans being corny again lmao nothing we can do home slice
That mf’r actually adjusted his elbow sleeve right before he caught and shot 😂
Had to put one in the chamber
Paolo was lost af
Turned the ball over and then gave up an open shot to Luke. Thank you Paolo
The thing is, no one is expecting Luke Kennard to hit the potential game winner with Luka LeBron Reeves on the team
Yeah, and that’s the kind of thing that makes him so dangerous.
I feel bad for the Magic in that spot, though; you kind of want to doubleteam Luka and LeBron. What are you supposed to do? But considering Smart didn’t even come in from out of bounds, you’re already playing with a 5-4 advantage there. Just a weird breakdown.
That’s misguided when everyone knows he’s currently the best shooter in the league 🎉
How do you not know if you’re switching in this situation? Was it the plan to double Lebron and leave Kennard? The whole blown defensive scheme actually had me wondering if Bane screwed up…or maybe Bane audibled and felt like he had to stay with Lebron after Lebron tugged Paolo’s arm to lose him. Idk. It was that bad.
A big Miscommunication by bane and Pb.
Nah that’s all Paolo’s fault
Pb is guarding Lebron at the start of the play they obviously didn’t communicate whether to switch or not. Two players chasing the same guy is a miscommunication between teammates.
In a bang bang play like that you can’t rely on vocal communication. Situational awareness and knowing where everyone on the floor is key. None of which Paolo had here.
Also you can tell once Paolo knew he fucked up he stood still and did nothing. He had a chance to recover if he reacted fast enough.
Nah that’s exactly how a play this can happen if it’s not understood what to do. You can blame Pb but he follows his man which is Lebron who bane happens to follow which is why Luke was wide open.
I agree. Paolo didn’t understand what to do
Pablo and bane didn’t understand what to do because of the miscommunication.
Idk what to tell you man. If you’ve ever played ball before you know this multiple people are at blame shit is something Redditors say to make themselves feel good.
The reality is Paolo apologized to his teammates in the locker room already.
I had played ball before, which is exactly why I’m thinking like one and why communication is key.
I think you’re correct, that Paolo had Bron at the start - but he got absolutely toasted and Bane had to react and take Bron, saving an easy lay up. And Paolo wasn’t nearly quick enough to pick up Kennard on the switch.
Re adjusting the shooting sleeve knowing he was wide open for a game winner… my demon 🥹
I really want to hate but I can’t… Why are the lakers Good again ðŸ˜
thank you nico
Crazy what can happen once everyone’s healthy for the first time in the season lol
Its not only that, no disrespect but Luka was kinda trash at the start of the season for his standards mostly because of the bad efficiency. He really started turning it up as of late(Mostly because AR is back and Luke Kennard providing additional spacing)
I mean his 3P% was bad but he was still keeping the team afloat cuz of his play despite lebron and then AR being out
Luka is really really really good
March NBA moment
that’s a good play. the inbound pass before that was a pass in the paint which they didn’t expect it to be designed for Lebron, they expected it to go to Luka for a 3pt shot and Lakers wasting more time.
So this one, they banked on it going to Lebron and the play was a blitzing formation where it looked like everyone was going to crash the box while Luka stayed on the perimeter. They read the pass to Luka but left Kennard open.
Kennard will always get looks like this because of Lebron/Luka/Reaves gravity.
Yup. This is my exact take on it. Its why I genuinely think Pelinka did a great job lol.
The Nard Dog, they’re calling him
He even pans to the camera randomly IRL
Hang it in the Louvre
That’s the kind of role player performance and confidence your team needs to go deep into the playoffs.
Very clutch shot, and another excellent inbounds pass from Marcus Smart. I was honestly expecting him to Marcus Dumb it up, but he came through in the clutch big time in the 4th
Marcus Smart knew it before it landed
I need the Sky cam overhead view replay
he was so open he had time to adjust his sleeve.
Just realized it was Banchero guarding him. Bron could’ve made the game tying shot too over him earlier, but mistimed it
Luke Kennard can cherry pick any shot he fucking wants!
Excellent consecutive play calls at the end there by JJ. Because LeBron got wide open on the first one, two defenders went with him when he dove, leaving the best three point shooter this season wide open.
SNIPER
Underrated play calling down the stretch by JJ
Proper commentary. Send this post to the top instead.
Magic really completely disregarded him wtf.
What a fucking play too. Lebron or JJ drawn?
Luke Kennard is such a good shooter that he still makes wide open threes despite being on the Lakers.
CLUTCH UP
Luka blowing a kiss to the crowd is the cherry on top
Love seeing a goated Lebron still losing it like a little kid for his teammates.
Washed
Love that play, left them so worried about Bron and Luka
Yall see luke re adjust his arm band. He is him bruh
Almost sounds like a Lakers home game in there. Damn.
Banchero is a mossad agent for the Lakers. Prove me wrong
Lakers are absolutely scorching hot right now
The presence of mind of the bench to not mob Kennard until the end of the gameÂ
Gabe Vincent woulda bricked
love that the first thing luka does is turn and taunt the crowd instead of celebrating lmfao
The Wire fans HATE kennard
damn reeves recovered quick from that viscious forearm to the neck
It’s nice that Luka got bailed out. Doesn’t happen very often with his usually poo rosters
Meanwhile Tatum and SGA are in heaven
Yeah - check out out the call that gave the ball to the Lakers. Blatantly off Lebron, yet they still gave the ball to the Lakers. Such a joke of a league lmao
That was literally a foul on paolo in the first place
