The thing i don’t get is when they say stuff like “they keep moving the goalposts for Luka”.

This isn’t like Harden where one year he lost the MVP despite having more wins than Westbrook, then also lost to Giannis even though he had the stats. Luka has had basically the same argument every year (huge PRA, less advanced stats and less wins than the eventual winner).

If one day Luka gets the 1st seed and loses, or loses the MVP to someone with less wins while maintaining his production you can say voters hate him, but that hasn’t happened yet.

Nobody is saying he’s a better passer than Luka or Jokic, but with his gravity and driving game he doesn’t need to be. He mostly makes simple but highly effective passes and almost never turns the ball over generating tons of wide open looks. The pacers have never been heliocentric.

Playmaking is more than just vision and passing ability. Is the actual capacity to use it at volume and in effective ways. You actually need to create advantages and not just be a great passer

SGA while not an elite passer, has a ton of gravity on ball (the most in the league) which creates alot of space for the team and allows him to assist with mostly not super advanced reads.

People aren’t discounting winning, Lakers are 11-1, 8 straight in the last twelve, many of those games being very close. And I believe it’s pretty safe to say that the player who has to score 40, 50, 60 points during that stretch to win every one of those games is, by definition, a More Valuable Player for his team that the player who can afford to take 9 shots and play three quarters.

This isn’t discredit to SGA, it’s great that he can afford it and means OKC is arguably the better team come playoffs, which is what matters at the end of the day. I just think Luka has been more valuable last couple of weeks, which doesn’t mean he has been all season long, there are lots of streaks in a NBA season and ultimately the voters have to decide

We were up 20, then wizards went on a tiny run to get to 15 or so with 3-4 minutes left. Mark put him back in to make sure nothing crazy happened.

If you watch a good amount of our games, you’ll notice Mark does that a lot if it goes under 20
