I think Jokic is the best player in the league and Wemby should be the consensus DPOY, but Jokic after his injury is rushing 65 games and securing the 6th seed, and is not playing for the MVP to the MVP level. Wemby is also going for 65 games, but with so few minutes per game that it almost feels like cheating/beating the system.
If Luka keeps this run up for the next 10 games too (and that is a big IF), I think there is no question it should be his. It is simply a too long stretch of being the obviously best playing player, in a season where there weren’t any long periods of only one player being at the top alone. SGA has been the top 2 player for the whole season, but he never distanced himself from Jokic. And now Luka is eclipsing him while Jokic falls behind.
If Luka has a great game against OKC in the next month I think he could get mvp. Lakers have to be close to 2nd seed too

What Shai has done the entire season is historic in terms of efficiency and consistency and he’s played on the second most injured team in the league and carried them to 10 games ahead of the Lakers, that’s more than the gap between the Lakers and the Blazers.
