I think Luka, Shai, and Jokic are currently the only players that you can confidently say are natural disasters that are unaffected by what people do.

Jokic is a little more preventable but he’ll still get his, but Luka and Shai completely eviscerate anything that any defense will throw at them.

if you’ve seen Luka’s in-depth shooting analytics it’s possible the best play is actually leave him wide open on the perimeter and let him chuck warmup 3s until his arms get tired. he has like half the efficiency on wide open 3s than he does on contested stepbacks lol

I’ve always thought this as well. Even to the point I’ve thought about if a team would ever put their worst defender on him, knowing that he’s gonna get his regardless, and allowing you to put your best defender on Luka’s best teammate. Hopefully neutralizing that, and now you just gotta hope to out score Luka, their 3rd option, and the rest of the role players.

His playoff resume is absolutely filthy. The early clippers series, embarrassing the 60+ win suns in game 7, the entire finals run. He’s upset so many great teams and great players it’s ridiculous.

I’m so excited to see him in the playoffs. Having high-intensity games every other day is going to be such a great measuring stick for his skill, obviously, but also his endurance and his durability, which seem to be basically the only things that anybody still has questions about.

We’ve seen Luka do it in the biggest moments since nearly day 1 when he was walking down prime Kawhi and PG in the clutch in his debut playoff series. Of course Wemby is dominant and will probably run the league for a decade, I’m so excited to see what he does in the playoffs, but he hasn’t yet

Wemby has a higher overall ceiling than Luka, but Luka is better at generating offense and playmaking. Wemby’s still very young and may get there eventually.

Shai has iced like 6 games in the clutch in this 11-0 streak. Including 4 straight vs the Knicks, Celtics, Denver and warriors. I’d argue his clutch play vs the Celtics and Denver were not inferior to anything luka has done in the season in the clutch.

SGA has been so clutch in far, that he leapfrogged Ant as the clutch player favorite

Shai doesn’t have anyone this season even close to as good at offence as Reaves and LeBron. It’s a little bit silly to say Luka carries a bigger offensive burden.
