That first half was insane. It legitimately looked like the Nets had never seen a defender attempt to steal the ball before.

At one point Cason Wallace just took the ball away. Not “poked it away and then gained possession” but straight up, flat-footed standing there, grabbed the ball with both hands. Like a teenager taking the ball from his kid brother. Stole the ball like it was an uncontested rebound.

He hasn’t had any good moments at all. I think he buys into the system and culture but just doesn’t belong at NBA level.

Since Daigneault keeps giving him reps I can only conclude that he’s a dog in practice, or maybe Thunder are trying to build up his trade stock. Either way it’s been pretty ugly to watch.

The Nets have a good coach and 2 good rookies in Egor and Drake. Getting someone like Boozer + a vet PG like Russ for example can turn things around for them. They can also get a decent return for MPJ and Claxton.

I see them back to the playoffs in a couple of years

The clippers trade may go down as the worst in nba history when all is said and done, but im alway gonna smile when I think about the McCain trade. ESPECIALLY if he keeps playing like this in the playoffs. We had like 8 games where we shot worse than 30% from three last year in the playoffs. If McCain can come in and just add 2 or 3 makes to those numbers, we become unbeatable.

There’s a very big difference between stat padding by playing 2 mins of the third quarter of a blowout and stat padding by playing 42 minutes of a blowout, taking 45 shots, and intentionally missing free throws to get the ball back lol.
