[Highlights] Russell Westbrook with the assists to pass Mark Jackson and Steve Nash for the 5th all-time in most assists in NBA history (regular-season). He also receives appreciation from the crowd for that.
51 assists in his last 5 games to break this record. He is unbelievable even at this age.
A huge amount of those assists were basically just pick & roll with Maxime Raynaud where Raynaud hits a push shot from 3 to 10 feet. It’s been a very consistent play all-season long.
Yep. I’m not going to agree with everything the Kings have done this season but the “I can’t believe they are playing Russ so many minutes instead of the young guys are they stupid” crowd completely misses how Westbrook has been feeding Max all year in his favored spots and a big part why he’s come along better than we’d hope
That’s how he got wizards big involved too few years back. Good to see him still feeding bigs to this day
He still has more left in the tank. Hoping he ends up on a contender somewhere next year.
One of the best playmakers ever
Stockton appears uncatchable
Appears lol
Is
Stockton is uncatchable and probably still would be without the home-cooked stat sheets. I also managed to get jump scared by LeBron even though I should’ve known to expect him smh
This is an honest question: is there any reason to believe that Stockton got more favorable home stats treatment than like… a ton of other players?
fuck john stockton since he’s genuinely just a shit human being but…if only road stats were counted he’d still hold the record by a fuck ton, and his home treatment was similar to other players
fuck john stockton since he’s genuinely just a shit human being
All I really know is him becoming an anti-vax weirdo… which definitely suggests a lot about the other shit he might be into.
Thanks for the additional context, though
if only road stats were counted he’d still hold the record by a fuck ton
I mean this is just obviously not true. He holds the record by a factor of like 1.25x. Where are you even getting that idea from?
Russ 😊
They’ll never convince me you’re washed my king
Our generation will always remember Westbrook
I’m new to basketball. Is 5th all time bad?
No, means he’s top of 5 in this category of all players to ever play professionally ever
So absurd that it’s all point guards on the list, and then there’s LeBron.
He is going to finish 2nd on this list.
He needs 2200+ to pass Paul and he’s averaged about 500 a season over the last 6. He’ll be 38 next season. Assuming a natural dip in stats as he gets even older, he’d probably need to play until he’s maybe 44. All while staying mostly healthy. It’s a tall ask. I see him finishing behind Kidd if LeBron retires soon.
He will probably finish 5th. He won’t catch LeBron if he plays another season.
Nice. Good for Westbrick.
