LeBron signed this kid’s shoe after his dad told him to say “please”
Lebron gonna dunk on this kid in 10 years.

I think that is part of what makes him so unstoppable, he is more or less functionally ambidextrous when he plays
Does most things as a lefty except shoot. Apparently he learned to shoot as a righty as a kid to emulate Jordan. Imagine if he wasn’t playing “lefthanded”, so to speak, for his whole career…
Hilarious if you know the Tatum story
When Lebron uses his 5 years of college Elgibility?
or the other way around, LOL
This kid gonna dunk on Bronny in 10 years
Okay this made me lol
In my dad soul, dad LeBron must’ve heard the dad’s politeness and felt obligated to honor the respect.
Yes man to man
LeDad pauses, turns.

Yeah, I think some combination of the kid’s request, followed by dad’s gentle prompt to have better manners, and the child immediately listening and trying it, had to have pulled on bron’s heartstrings a bit. He also listens to everything lol so I almost have little doubt he did catch that interaction between pops and kid.
Injury report: LeBron out 2-5 games with pulled heartstrings
LeBron Out - Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy
Fuck what have I manifested into the world 😩😂
Maybe not the heartstrings but if his sciatica is acting up again…
Even if he didn’t hear the dad he heard the delayed “please” and that came from somewhere. The dad in LeBron knew what happen that pause and respected it.
Agreed like he deduced some adult prompted the “please” and the kid listened.
I don’t think it had anything to do with the adult. I think in the moment that “please?!” reminded him how much stuff like that means to a kid, he was so close to Lebron and wanted it so bad.
It’s a great clip because it shows the humanity in him. Like anybody else he is tired as hell after work, just wants to get home, he hears the kid and is like ah fuck can’t let him down
the mention of bron listening to everything reminds me of that one time they mid-game interviewed a kid sitting next to him courtside while he was all stoic
Bronny is 21, he’s not even a resident anymore.
Not even a dad but I am an uncle and felt similarly.
LeDad activated. That kid is never going to forget to say please again. As a parent, when you hear another parent try to teach their kid a lesson you’re almost obliged to help if you can.
Gonna be up in the club in 15 years telling Olivia “let me buy you a drink, please” and just getting numbers left and right. Who doesn’t love good manners?
“Excuse me ladies, would you drop it low while backing that thing up? Please.”
You want them to rub their butts on your shins?
I believe you’re supposed to back up, then drop it low, then pop back up to back it up again. Really depends what the song is telling you to do.
You’d a fine muhfucka when you back that ass up (please)
LeBron just taught an entire generation of basketball kids to say please.
It is somewhat amusing to think that if the kid had said “please” from the get-go he probably wouldn’t have a signed shoe right now lol
That’s exactly what it is. Dads know. That’s one more good person being raised and getting that positive reinforcement is huge.
Instructions unclear, the son is now a panhandler
My dad was awful, but he taught me to be polite and respectful at all times. It really does help you later on in life.
Yeah I felt that

Me too.
That’s exactly what I think happened.
This was my read too. I think the moment of silence before Lebron says, “Come here” was a blanked out “Ahh FUCK! Ok. Come here” or something like that. Definitely think that moment of silence was a LeXecration or some fashion

Say what you want about the dude but he’s a class act
Looked like he was going to ignore the kid but when he heard “please” his dad solidarity kicked in and he had to reward good behavior.
Right? Probably bought that dad a solid month of that kid saying please to everything.
A month? This kid is never gonna forget to say please the rest of his fucking life lmaooo
Legit I bet that’s what it was to be honest.
He remembered every time he taught his kids that. I would feel the same, but no one is asking for my autograph
Can I please have your autograph?
Say please
Please Mike sign my wings

This.
Parenting is a team effort sometimes. It’s so much easier to get your kid to act right when other adults appreciate and acknowledge their effort.
It takes a village is basically that
Parenting is a team effort sometimes.
Sometimes?
It was just my mom and the pack of wolves that watched me when she was working. It was cool though, I learned how to pee on stuff so people knew it was mine. Mostly my bed and my underpants.
Stephen A Smith in shambles. Questioning his fatherhood like that
That was so crazy even by his standards
That was genuinely a nice thing to see him do.
Always has been. No offcourt issues in all these years. Crazy impressive especially since he was essentially a “child star” at 16 years old and has been under public scrutiny since. I think the haters get quieter once he finally hangs them up
Definitely. This was nice.
Lebronto and all that I obviously have my own bias and he has done some dumb stuff.
But whole life in the spotlight and I can only point out one or two things off court that ever really bothered me.
I’m a Jordan stan and I will fully admit LeBron is one of the goats at being an all around good person from what I’ve seen. And this isn’t just within basketball, this is counting like all celebrities.
He seems to be a very good dad and family man, despite his upbringing, and a very good positive influence with almost no scandals in the last 30 years. Like nearly spotless, except for maybe a few misguided China comments.
He’s a good family man at least what we’ve seen from him in two decades. Obviously don’t know what celebrities are really like but Bron seems like a good guy in a league full of scumbags
The clip from the last Olympics of him dancing and embarrassing his daughter is the most dad thing I’ve ever seen.
Tom and Jerry post, the pool selfie, the goggles clip you can name so many things where LeBron just seems like a happy goofball that happens to be as genetically similar to a freight train as possible
It’s not impossible but if he was able to keep an act up for 20 years I’d be stunned.
I’d throw it all away. For a weekend in Vegas with Carmen Electra
Dont forget to schedule your colonoscopy and prostate exam soon
He really deserves more credit. He’s had the world at his fingertips since 18 years old and really done nothing but positive stuff with it.
Not even at 18, probably since 16 really
that goes for the dad too! all around wholesome
If he was a class act he would’ve let my favorite team win when they were up 3-1. LeDevil. LeDiablo
shhhh yall got like 3 others let Bron have this one
It’s aggravating that you can’t hate him
Decades of positive karma
The stuff about Israel pissed me off, but outside of that he seems like a good dude.
Besides tweeting out and doxing saying “you’re next” to get the entire internet after him for no good reason, yeah I’d say class act
kid made a 80 year old bend down smh
Yup he on the injury report with a sore back now 😔
Sciatica
Leiatica
Made this 134 year old agitate his damn sciatica
I can’t believe they would do this to the poor 200 yr old
Yeah, take the shoes off before you ask bro!
Man has just played 38 minutes in a NBA game and he’s probably tired as hell.
Nah he’s 40,000 years old
Love seeing the Bronny dap
He was going to dap up the whole line till security lady moved him along
For real… shes like you got the shoe signed now get outa here
lil bro was tryna stretch that “please” are far as it could go
Like, I get that’s her job, but LeBron called them over, and she’s like “Yall not supposed to be back here” for a moment this kid is going to remember for whole life… fuck outta here lady.
Real talk, that lady been there workin for years and she’s always been a bitch. Every game I been to where I’m semi close to the court I’ve run into her. She definitely don’t play.
I imagine she was a rookie guard, finally made it to floor duty near the players. A lifelong dream. Some little kid crying, begging Lamar Odum to sign his jersey. She thinks, what harm can one kid do? He just wants an autograph. He looks so sweet. Then boom… 7 dead.
Bruh 😭
lmfao chill
Should’ve got bronny to sign the other shoe
That’s actually an amazing idea
Not to be extra on this cos I already commented on this lol but something about LeBron actually stopping and waving the kid in, must’ve also been because LeBron (as pops) wanted a kid to see, irl, there is an upside to being polite, courteous, and addressing ppl nicely.
No better way to leave a lasting impression than for a kid to try the polite and nice way of requesting something and actually getting it due to asking nicely.
LOVE LBJ down for this.
100%. That was the thought I had, too. Please can go a long way, if it’s genuine! Good parenting and good reinforcement from LBJ
he’s never not saying please again
Exactly! It’s like an amazing takeaway for the kid to have lol like the best lesson to learn.
Legit, little man will never not say please again.
What a beauty LeBron is
he’s so sexy
Fitting username damn
LeLeftHanded
i didn’t even realize that dude is left handed wtf
Yeah he does everything with his left besides play basketball, I think because he said all of his basketball heroes played right handed so that’s how he wanted to learn
I think there’s a couple players like that, I believe Dwight Howard is left-handed as is Russell Westbrook.
Still find it crazy every time I remember that
Dude is arguably the best basketball player in history and he did so without fully utilizing his dominant hand
Maybe ben Simmons was onto something? Or maybe LeBron is actually just as bad as Simmons is to scale, but would be a whole new level if he played with his proper hand.
Ben Simmons was neither handed
The Inigo Montoya of basketball
LeFty
Imagine decade from now. That kid gets drafted and the first thing he says is that it all started when, as a kid, LeBron signed his shoes.
nah hed wait to tell the story to bron when they face eachother in his first game
In the finals*
then LeBron dunks on him of course
Wouldnt be as funny as donovan mitchell being one of the kids in the decision, getting drafted to the nba, and potentially playing with lebron next year
Whether people like him or not he’s been a class act
Of course
Great father, great person, great teammate, great player
I’m a hater of his at times but I can never hate on the dudes character
Only the super team stuff and some of his political stances
Absolutely. He’s got the character that every sports fan wants their kid to look up to.
Can 100% agree there
LeBron will be missed when he retires, even though he single handedly destroyed my Pistons in 2007 when he was only like 22 years old lol
Will never forget that playoff game
All things considered its insane to have a career like he has and not be in controversy.
For me, it’s all the incredible levels of hype and expectation put on him at like 15-16 and for him to lap the expectations is a truly remarkable feat.
It’s amazing to me that fame didn’t ruin him
LeDamnGotATearInMeEye
I’m not crying … ur crying!
😢
“Fuck. He said LePlease now I got to.”
JJ chewing out Ayton walking by them was the best part
Not enough people are drawing attention to this lol
Took him less than 30 seconds to do something that this kid will be telling his grandkids about.
This shit as a dad makes me emotional, especially the “say please” which clearly trigger LeBron’s fatherly instinct to sign the shoes.
LeGoodPerson
Would have been funny if Bronny went over to sign the shoe instead.
Lmao LeBron stopped like he thought damn he said the magic word!
TIL LeBron literally only plays ball right handed
I’m convinced a lot of ambidextrous people are really just left handed but were forced to learn their right hand for a lot of things because everything in society is oriented towards right handed people
My sons left handed and can do way more with his right hand than I ever could with my left
“Lebron can you sign my shoe?” (Ignore) “Say please”—“please!” (Shit)
LeBron is LeFt handed? I never noticed that before.
Just say you don’t goon to him often enough
All these people learning he’s left handed has really made me realize how mildly obsessed I am of this man
Why are the security guards in these videos always so uptight? I get they have a job to do, but did she not just witness that entire interaction?
No idea but I imagine it’s partly just mentally draining from hundreds of incidents of fans trying to do too much
So the few good interactions make them seem uptight since they’re on guard and just trying to do their job
I mean, I only thought they stepped in when the kid tried to overplay his hand a bit and dapping up other players too lol
It looks like she initially was telling the dad he couldn’t go video it either which is kinda stupid
Whenever there’s an incident: WHERE WAS SECURITY?!?!?!
Security doing its job: WHY IS SECURITY SO UPTIGHT?!?!?!
Because it only takes one deranged fan and you basically can’t let your guard down at all.
Their bosses are probably assholes that’ll reprimand them for shit like this
somewhere out there someone is making a video SLAMMING lebron for making the kid beg to get his signature
Lebron had flash backs to raising his kids. Had to reward good manners
I like Lebron. Such a long career. Utterly dominant for a large part of it. And never ever any problems. No DUIs. No arrests. Still with the same girl. Family man.
The fact he was able to be the best player in the NBA and still be a down to earth family man is just next level. Most people choose one or the other.
People always go on and on about MJ vs Lebron as the GOAT. But MJ the human is kind of a fucking asshole. I mean that’s gotta count for something right? Do we judge the athlete or the human being as a whole?
LeAmbidextrous? Did he sign that left handed??
He is left handed, plays right
Back in the summer of 1998 we where visiting my Aunt in Kansas City. The Indians where playing the Royals being from Cleveland my Aunt and Uncle got tickets to the game. Watching batting practice we where surrounded by autograph hawks behind Cleveland dugout. All these guys and their kids calling the players by their first names. Mike Hargrove goes walking by I yell out “Mr.Hargrove” He replies with “What? without breaking stride. I go “Will you sign my ball please?” Man stopped, turned and took my ball and my brothers. When they got back to us: Not only was Mike Hargroves signature on the ball but just about everyone else who was standing around him at the time. No one else standing around us got anything signed but my brother and I did and it was because we showed a small amount of respect and said please and thank you.
I rate this. Dad reminding him about those manners Bron actually stopping once he heard please.
TIL LeBron is a lefty, but he shoots with his right hand, no?
LeDad kicked in lol you love to see it
Frame those bad boys
Bro signed that shit left handed?
he’s left handed plays ball right handed
I respect ✊🏾 it
Amazing what happens when one is polite and respectful, especially from a kid and his father
Amazing when you have a HOFer remembers his fans and treats them well when one is polite and respectful
Sad that this doesn’t happen more given these times

Positive reinforcement from LeBron James just might get you to where you wanna be.
Watching lebron interact with an actual child while JJ walks by yelling at the lakers manchild has me rolling lol
that kid has learned the value of please. That’ll stick and he’ll get a lot more in life because of it.
The magic word. Working like… magic.
